We were put on a floor with a big group of school children - very noisy. Breakfast was awful - powdered eggs, cordial instead of orange juice and all sugary foods. Our room smelt extremely bad of mould. Check out desk didn't even bother to ask how our stay was.

Positive + Cheap + Good breakfast (although fresh cappuccino or espresso instead of machine coffee would be even beter) + Nice rooms and clean + Helpful staff + Good working shower Negative - A bit noisy - Need to travel by but back and forth between train station and hotel but this is a minor issue Staying in this hotel is worth the money. It is ± 4 km removed from the train station but this is easily solved by taking the bus (check if the 10x drives ticket is more convenient). The room is ... Read more

This hotel has four stars stamped on the door. Rooms are shabby, old and walls are grubby. It is far from a four star. Do you rate it four star if it has an elevator? Maybe that is it! Well, there is one of those. Bathroom is nicely done, typical of most Italian hotels, however.

The worse stay in Italy! Far from the center, rooms are old and dirty (!!), breakfast is poor and with the terrible view... also overcrowded with kids on school trips, so imagine yourself breakfast... never again ???

Stayed here for 6 nights whilst visiting Florence for a friend's wedding. This hotel was perfect for what we needed. Stayed in room 709, bed was very comfortable, room cleaned everyday, shower was very good -the most powerful I've ever experienced when abroad. I left my hair dryer and GHD's out in the room and they were always left untouched. The air con was brilliant, we quite often had to turn it off through the night and use the extra blankets as it could get quite cool. Our room also had a m... Read more

First if you are looking for a comfort hotel....look elsewhere. Like all previous reviews the hotel didnt disappoint...and was too far from city center....but we also had to lug our luggage to a hotel room...BREAKFAST ...yes was there..just bread butter and cheese..some ham croissant eggs and...oh yes coffee...but the staff was very rude and behaved as if they are doing us a favour by being there.....and very unresponsive..no one spoke English well and that was very inconvenient as neither they ... small rooms, very old-fashioned. I stay about 150 nights in hotels per year, this was the smallest shower I have ever seen. had some issues with special services, was solved only after I put them massive under pressure.

Clean rooms. Average bed comfort for a hotel of this category in Europe. Blower in bathroom. No iron in the hotel but the receptionist told me that clothes could be pressed upon request in the morning. Small empty refrigerator in room. Two small old elevators. Breakfast buffet included.

Just stayed 2 nights in Nord Hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious, ensuite clean and roomy. We did have free parking. Wifi was so slow, couldn't even open anything before timing out. Breakfast was usual but did have an automatic pancake maker which was great but it didn't work on the 2nd morning. The hotel was on main road with easy access for buses or walking around the area.

I understand that the hotel wants to reduce the costs, but they should realize that if they don't offer a minimum service, they shouldn't present it as four stars hotel. At least clean the elevator that smell like used toilet. Looking for modern art? The room have an interesting collection of smashed bugs on the walls and curtains. It offers also a mural painted with mold and dirt in the shower. At least they have a bed and a bathroom, but forget the service and there is no hope for shampoo, s... Read more

We arrive to the hotel by bus, which could be taken walking about 200 m from the hotel. The hotel is not bad, is clean but the service quality is not good, they do not speak english which made the communication very dificult during the stay. It got worse when I realized I forgot a pair of shoes, I had to have several calls with them and wait fpr long time for someone who could speak decent English.

If you are someone who relishes to sleep with the sound of passing trains and dirt bikes or even the subtle but constant racket of the air conditioning at the lowest setting then Nord Florence hotel is the one for you! Like the Jews in Auschwitz, my stay was not very long but both experiences are definitely on par with each other. If you happen to be anything other than a gatherer from 10,000BC then you will definitely notice the sluggish Wi-Fi speed that this hotel offers, which requires you to... Read more

Booked a room at the Hotel Nord Florence for the night before an early flight as it was near the Florence Peretola Airport. Was shocked when we pulled up. Sketchy neighborhood, weirdly creepy hotel. There was only one staff member at the front desk and when checking in, everything was done by hand - typing in our credit card number instead of having a swipe machine, etc. Very "behind the times." Took the TINY and slow elevator to our room - felt like we were in an old episode of "Law and Order."... Read more

The hotel may look decent from the outside, but is paradoxical when one enters. The staff speak english, although it's extremely poor. I'm not blaming them for not knowing it fluently, but for English speakers it's quite the mission to convey simple conversation. The hotel has a, if I may, 'dodgy' vibe. The hallways don't smell the best and the rooms are cramped as well as the bathroom. The hotel doesn't offer additional, nessecary items. They just provide a shaving kit and toothbrush, but no ... Sometimes you make mistakes, this was one. Far out of Florence. No public transport to the centre, but can take a bus to the train station, still a hike to the centre of town. Taxi will cost you around ?20. Breakfast was an experience not to be had, poor quality food which was frequently absent ie did not replenish servaries when empty. Wife managed to get locked out of the breakfast room, when she went to the toilet, at 9:50 servers refused to open the door which I had to do, they gave me dag... Read more
