Delightful location, especially with a view of the Arno from your window. Beautiful location, south of the river, right on the bank, renovated mill (mulino); manager, Aldo, was very helpful and solicitous of any need. Staff very friendly, especially Emilio. Free shuttle to city center (@ 10 minutes if traffic not too heavy). Bikes also available.

Excellent Hotel. If you want to spend your vacation in a peaceful environment and away from the hustle bustle of city life, this is the perfect place. The Hotel staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. Serene, Aldo, Carlos and Ashwini were just great. We were upgraded to the river view room. The hotel has a great character. Excellent views, amazing spots to inside and outside the hotel to explore. The Hotel also provides shuttle service to the City Center (20 minutes drive) free of char... Read more

There is also bus no. 23 not far (10 min walking) that goes to Santa Maria Novella. Bikes also available free of charge. Breakfast is excellent. Restaurant not bad at all. You can have a "light lunch" for 10-13 euro (pizza, pasta, sandwiches) or dinner (10 euro a soup, 13 euro pasta, +20 euro for meat dishes). Nice place to just relax after the ... Read more

I was arriving in Florence by car & didn't want to have to deal with a hotel in the centre. What a perfect choice this was. The hotel is easy to locate with ample free parking. But then you step inside & the magic begins! The staff are superb, reception gave me recommendations & drew a map for exploring the Chianti region which was excellent. Housekeeping were beyond thorough! The hotel is truly charming, on the banks of the river, super views(upgrade to a superior room is well worth the extra).... Read more

We found ourselves at Hotel Mulino after having to leave the apartment we rented in Florence for our honeymoon. What followed was a beautiful couple of days that made up for all the stress that came before. Our room was beautiful, with a view of the river and the calming sound of water running over the weir. The service was exceptional, as were the food and drinks. We'd like to say a special Thank You from the bottom of our hearts to the very lovely 'Aldo'. From the minute we arrived he was the ... We found this jewel on line and never regretted one minute of our stay. It is a couple of miles out of Florence, but worth the peace and quiet of the country side instead of the busy city. We took a taxi into town, next time we would rent a car as the hotel has a parking facility. It was one of the cities we visited that we diffidently would rent a car. The restaurant in the hotel is 5 star and the dining area in the patio over looks Arno river. Oh, WOW!! Amelio, in the bar was so accommod... Read more

If you've never been to Florence you most definitely should and you should absolutely book to stay at Hotel Di Mulino! From the moment you enter the front gate you are made to feel so welcome. Our room (203) was lovely with stunning views from its balcony. The jacuzzi bath was also a welcome extra. The pool area was spotlessly clean with plenty of sunloungers with towels, umbrellas and tables to put drinks etc on. The restaurant serves great food ~ full compliments to the chef. It was a quaint but beautiful hotel, about 20 minutes outside of Florence City, situated next to the river. It was a beautiful and quiet location. The pool was beautiful and enjoyable to lie next to (even if a little cold to get into). The bedrooms had a classic feel to them and were comfortable and well maintained. The food was nice, as was the little bar. All of the staff were really friendly, accommodating and happy to help out. A really nice little retreat, outside of the city!

We enjoyed our stay at the Mulino di Firenze. The hotel is beautiful in all respects. The room we stayed was outstanding. The front reception staff are friendly and excellent. The downstairs bar staff were also quite accommodating and professional. The food was outstanding in the dining room however on both the occasion of dinner and breakfast the service was well below the standard we would have expected. This hotel is a little away from the town, but for those that want to get away from the tourist bustle great. They also provide a free bus transfer to the town and even better, free bicycles for the lovely cycle into town. A glorious hotel, absolutely beautiful, would definitely recommend and stay again

What a gem, beautifully appointed hotel on the banks of the Arno 10 mins from Florence - the free courtesy bus was a god send and we used it extensively. The staff were very friendly and took time to ensure we felt welcome. Food in the restaurant was excellent. We will definitely be staying at this great hotel next time we are in Florence.

We were recommended the Hotel Mulino di Firenze by a friend who had always wanted to stay there, but had not yet made it. We can now tell him that this is an amazing place that could not possibly have been better. Don't be put off that the hotel is just outside of Florence itself, there are a number of shuttle buses into Florence each day. To all travelling in the summer to Florence, I would recommend this hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights while the temperature was above 30 degrees C. The good thing: the hotel houses a very nice pool with sunbeds and towel service! Excellent grilled Bistecca Fiorentina, daily changing menu. This is an expensive hotel outside of Florence. They do have a regular shuttle that goes into the city, just make VERY certain that you know exactly where to be picked up (a lot of those hotels and plazas look alike). The shuttle stops at 7:30, so if you don't want to pay 20 Euros for a taxi, you are stuck eating at the hotel. Our first night the service was horrible and the food iffy. But each night improved, so we did end up enjoying our three nights here. The bartender is a delight.

We spent 5 nights here, a great experience. The hotel is just enough outside Florence to give you the quiet of the countryside and close enough to bicycle in (free on loan from the hotel).
