We stayed there as a base to watch the MotoGP in May 2016. The hotel was spotlessly clean and we were pleasantly surprised. The check-in was simple and there was complimentary water in the room. On the first and second nights we ate in the hotel restaurant and had drinks beforehand in the bar which is adjacent to the restaurant. Although the staff were very pleasant the service was incredibly slow and this became very frustrating. At the bar, every time we wanted another drink we had to 'hunt do... Read more

The hotel is far away from the town. We thought we choose the hotel that we expected, but not. Anyway I like this hotel and location is next to the river . Especially nice river view. Staffs need to improve the service! I realized that to share comment. I have been there with my family since last year for holiday.

This is the perfect little hotel, just on the outskirts of Florence, so very easy to get to. Once you are there, the hotel shuttle takes you in and out of town so no need to worry about your car. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. We had an extra bed put into our deluxe double room for our daughter and there was still plenty of room. Loved the jacuzzi bath in the room. The breakfasts are great and served til 11am so no rush. We also enjoyed lunch around the pool and a dinner one ... Read more

I would like to thank Fabio specially and to the whole staff working in the reception. They made us comfortable and helped us with anything. Fabio supported us with finding us a tour to Siana and Farms at 11 am as i woke up late and couldnt find any tour free for me. Also the lady at the reception helped me looking for a car rental in Venice. Thank you all The hotel is perfect in all and each detail. The room with jacuzzi, the bed, the table, the restaurant and looby everything is boutique. The... Read more

We stayed for one night at this fabulous hotel. The staff were helpful and the rooms were spotless and impressive. The food was lovely. The hotel is on the outskirts of Florence, about a 20-30 minute walk from the centre, however the Hotel put on transport to and from the hotel twice a day, dropping you just outside Palazzo Vecchio, which is very helpful. I would definitely return.

Came here for our honeymoon in June 2016, the staff is very accommodating, very friendly. The spa is amazing! Loved our room and GF dining in the Flora & Fauna restaurant. The restaurant staff, while not completely GF trained - was accommodating and was able to make adjustments - the fresh food they cooked was amazing. We opted for the Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso treatment

I apologise at the outset that this may be a little long. Almost all the reviews we read before booking here were full of superlatives. And rightly so. We booked in for 30 June. this is rightly designated a 5 star hotel. However it almost has more the feel of a sumptuous private villa . This is true for the decor and the layout.. We arrived two hours before check-in. So we used the glorious little spa area. The hydrotherapy pool is exquisite. It almost has the sense of being in a magical subterr... Read more

We only stayed here 2 nights and it was great.close to road but when your inside its like an oasis.Deluxe room was lovely large enough Snd nice and cool because it was extremely hot.they have a shuttle into city center since you are on outskirts. Would not have been a bad walk 30-45 minutes but it was hot and sweaty.one day we did the shuttle another day after touring took a cab. Breakfast was excellent!, tons to choose from. My fiancé and I stayed at Ville Sull'Arno for 2nights in the lead up to our wedding in Tuscany at the end of June and it could not have been a better start to our trip! The hotel offers boutique luxury with lovely little features such as complimentary soft drinks at reception and dressing gowns in the room. The pool & jacuzzi is actually where we spent most of our time with super comfy sun loungers, bean bags and chairs (dependent on your choice of seating) with views out across to the river, ... Stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was outstanding. The pool area lovely. Room nicely furnished. Small touches made the stay extra special, such as the cold bottles of water as we left to drive to Milan and the sweets left on our pillow at night. Oasis after a busy day in Florence. Would definitely recommend.

I really wanted to love this hotel but unfortunately my husband and I were let down by their service. We stayed for 3 nights overall and having stayed at 5 star hotels across the globe, I felt that they were lacking in this area. The average rating is based on a scale of 5 star resorts, where I expected service to be impeccable and unfortunately this was just not the case. Service: We arrived a day later than expected due to a flight issue and I had phoned the hotel to explain this. However on ... Read more

Firstly we had a fantastic break in Florence visiting the usual Galleries and enjoying some excellent restaurants. We arrived at the Ville Sull'Arno on Friday afternoon and following a simple check in were given a quick tour of the hotel before arriving at our room. The room was nice with a small balcony overlooking the Arno. The only issues were the hanging space was open (a 6ft rail) and there was no drawer space at all. The staff in the hotel are attentive and willing to help although I would... Read more

A week in Florence was made that much more special by the care and comfort provided by the team at Ville Sull'Arno Hotel. First of all Florence; incredibly beautiful Italian City that is full of Art, Architecture, History and as you would expect amazing shopping. From the Cathederal built without any metal frame and supporting a roof of 29 million tiles to the shadow of Michaelangelo and his designs, statues and incredible vision, the City needs weeks, not days to justice to it. This is was an amazing small boutique hotel on the outskirts of the city. From the lovely lady at the reception to all the staff made us feel so welcome. The rooms were clean and full of character. Excellent indoor pool and sauna although the gym is very small. Excellent breakfast with service with a smile. A hotel that has made our trip in Florence memorable.

I stayed two weekends at the Ville in July. It was my first time in Florence. The place is utterly charming, with some of the best service I've ever experienced, definitely on par with any of the 5-star hotels my friends and colleagues stay in when they visit New York. All the staff--from the restaurant to the front desk--speak excellent English, which was great for me as I speak no Italian. Irene, Sophia and Giulia were particularly helpful. The food at the restaurant is marvelous. I highly rec... Read more

We absolutely loved our stay here! From the moment we laid our heads on the chairs by the pool we had fantastic service. Essential oil frozen towels with the smell of peppermint and eucalyptus were handed and everyone literally fell asleep at the pool! The under ground pool and relaxing area with sauna and steam room was so nice... And complementary!! We laid by the pool and then went there after to relax. What a fantastic hotel for our 7 night stay in Florence, and we loved everything about Ville sull??Arno. We had exceptional service from start to finish, and everyone made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much effort or trouble, which is why this visit made it very special. Great little boutique hotel in the south of Florence on the side of the Arno about 25 minutes walk from the Uffizi. Old villa style, but a new development. Old style furnishing and lots of art. Very comfortable rooms, with big comfy beds lots of storage, free wifi, and decent if smallish bathrooms. Shuttle into the centre every 15-20 minutes between 9 and 7. Very cold swimming pool, slightly warmer bubble pool. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, and parking was on site, but expensive. Lot... Read more

I have been living in Italy for over 2 decades and we come to Florence about twice a year. I am so glad we came across this property! I have NO complaints at all! The staff treats you like family. I would be one of their favorite aunties! The restaurant is very good from Breakfast, Lunch to Dinner. If you go in the summer the pool there is lovely. Not to mention all year round they have a lovely spa including pool, steam and sauna. I always get a few massages from their staff, in particular Magd... Read more

15 minute lovely walk along river to the sites as everyone says or $10 cab. The place is charming and the people great. We are from Toronto and didn't do any homework on Italy before travelling. Got here with no direction. The hotel rooms are nice and the air conditioning works perfectly. Beds comfortable. Linens nice. In room safe. Great bathroom. Great pool area (no shallow end though) which is part of the charm of the restaurants outdoor seating. For that reason... Read more

My husband and I visited Florence in July and had a truly wonderful stay at Ville sull'Arno. The grounds and facilities are gorgeous, as are the rooms. Eating breakfast outside everyday, next to the pool and the Arno, was one of the highlights of my trip. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and we appreciated the shuttle to the city center. The beautiful walks along the river to and from the hotel was a great way to experience Florence. We'll be back next year!

I am here for the first time in Italy, planned to stay for four days in Florence but loved the hotel so much that decided to extend our visit. The hotel is located on the banks of the Arno but short 30 minutes walk to downtown, they also have a shuttle or for less than ten dollars you can take a five minute taxi ride ...When we arrived we were told that our room was automatically upgraded, absolutely stunning view and spacious room. We stayed at this lovely Florence hotel for two nights. It is located only about 10minutes from the city centre and there is also a complimentary shuttle available to book at the hotel. Our room was wonderful and also the hotel areas and facilities such as the outdoor pool, sauna or the steam room were fantastic. We had a nice stay and will be sure to return when back in Florence.

Beautiful place with wonderful staff, always helpful and friendly. The rooms are tastefully decorated, surprisingly different, with great attention to details. The view over Arno river is spectacular, and although the location is close to the center of Florence, you feel surrounded by nature. Charming small boutique style hotel that is on the river. The hotel is close, but still a little further away from the heart of Florence. With that said, we were still able to easily get to everything we needed to. Rooms were great. Breakfast was amazing. Dinner was very good. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel. On future visits to Florence, I would probably stay somewhat closer to the city center, but it this hotel location is still close enough that its not a real issue.

From the moment of emailing the hotel about our accommodations to every small detail the hotel was fantastic. We loved the rooms, bedding, and breakfast. We wish we had longer to stay here and use the facilities. We were able to celebrate my birthday there as well and they gave us free bottle of champagne in our room, another one for dinner and dessert. Truly a great way to end our trip.
