I was really disappointed with this hotel. I booked last year to stay here in September 2016 on my own. Unfortunately, I now have an operation booked for the day before I go and can no longer fly. I booked this knowing that I would have to pay for the accommodation if I cancelled but I did not expect the hotel to charge me when I informed them of my situation. They offered to rebook me or for me to change the booking to someone else but I am unable to do this. I am very saddened to think that... Read more

The hotel is great decorated with old pictures, and full of colors including the plates and cups at breakfast. Close to Firenze action including restaurants, museums, and Renaissance churches. Good breakfast is included in the rate, and front desk team are all the time ready to fill out your expectations adding free coffee, snacks and petite sandwiches in the afternoon

Only gave this place a 2 rating because it is at a perfect location to walk to and from the train station, and is close to the meet up spots for the tours you will likely book. Othewise, prepare for the noise. There is a large scooter/motorcycle parking lot at the end of the street, and they all use the alley that passes under your hotel windows. Along with the vehicle traffic. Expect to listen to road noise all night long, in addition to the normal voices echoing through the streets from the ... Read more

The first thing to say about this hotel is that the staff are so helpful and friendly their customer service was excellent My room was very clean and lots of space it was slightly noisy on my side of the hotel but I got use to it after the first night my friend was on the other side of the hotel which was very quiet The hotel is close to the train and bus station so was easy to plan our trips to Siena & Pisa The breakfast was fantastic and the lady who worked in there was very helpful Would defi... This is a 3 star hotel, but I highly recommend this hotel as it is really clean and the staff are good and polite. The wifi are strong and you can use it the whole time. You get your money's worth. Free breakfast and if you are late or early for breakfast , there is always food outside for you to eat. The staff are very accommodating as whatever you request, they would help.

This is a very nice boutique hotel that is just a few minutes from the train station, and is not far from the old town. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. The bathroom is a bit small but overall the hotel is great. Breakfast was fine too. Check in was fast and the hotel clerks very helpful.

Stayed here for 3 nights, this was a great hotel in a perfect location. 5 minutes walk from the station, and about 15 mins from the Duomo and main city centre. Breakfast was OK, the room was spotless, bathroom was a bit on the small side. Staff very friendly and helpful.

wonderful for arriving by train or bus, front desk staff were most helpful and it was right next to a street that we found to be one of the loveliest in the city, full of good restaurants and places to sit with a drink or coffee, but not overcrowded like much of the city. the hostess in the breakfast dining room was wonderful, finishing off our meal each morning with a perfect cappuccino. we were very pleased with our 6 night stay here.

The location was good, close to the train stations, restaurants and shopping areas with a short walk to the main museums in Florence. However, the hotel is very old, smelled room, dusty and the pillows were very hard that you cant sleep and you would wake up next day with neck pain. Don't stay here if you are looking for a comfortable and good experience.

Older hotel, but I like its charm. My room was clean, small with tiny shower but I liked the high ceiling and quaint furniture in the rooms and corridors and pictures on the doors. What this hotel lacked in room size, it made up for with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Thank you Alberto who works at the front desk, what a wonderful human being! I did not buy tickets ahead of time and the moment I arrived Alberto offered to call the Uffizi and Gallerie dell'Accademia. He got me... Read more

Fantastic breakfast. All fresh bakery good. Fresh juice, & fruit. Homemade yogurt. Every morning individual Cappuccino. Small but pleasant & clean room, quite as well. Few if any English speaking Television stations. But what needs tv, when in Italy. This small hotel is very close to train station, very easy walk. As well as easy walk to many interesting areas. One of few hotels that have parking, if your going to rent a car. There is daily parking charge. Only rent a small vehicle as parking i... Read more

The staff were fantastic. The place is old but it is a very charming. They have a great breakfast with quite a variety of food. In the afternoon they have snacks and tea or cappuccino available. In the evening several times we would be down in the main area and they would make us tea. Even late at night. Very friendly.

The hotel was clean but it ends there. The safe (which would easily fit in suitcase) in the room was not attached therefore anyone could go in your room and take the safe and your valuables. We ask the staff about it and they said they require that the room keys be given to the staff upon every departure. The issue with that is everytime we returned to our room there was a new person at the desk and they just handed us the key with no verification of who we where. This is a big issue when yo... The hotel is clean and the front office staff helpful. The rooms are a little dated, but the bathrooms are good and clean. The paintings of the door scared the daylights out of us as we got out of the lift for the first time, but we got used to it! The breakfast was good and the lady who oversees it works like a Trojan and is very pleasant and helpful. There is a good range of cold breakfast items, a toaster for you to use and for hot choice some scrambled egg and sausage (in the same pot so no... Read more

Pro: close to the train station, 10 minute walk to most of the sites (Duomo, academia, uffizi), reasonable price. Con's: Mosquitoes in room. I know they're all over italy, but our room had tall french doors that didn't seal well at the top and let those little buggers in. Lack of outlets in the room.

A nice clean and simple accomodation. The place is kept well. Rooms aren't enormous, but they're comfortable. Breakfast was rather good and the dining room is beautiful. Its an easy walk from the florence rail station and not far off the main attractions like the duomo.

This was a nice, affordable hotel that we chose because it has easy access to the train station. Although not glitzy or modern, our room was comfortable and clean. Even though just about everything in Florence is within walking distance, we wanted to be close to the station so we wouldn't have to carry our luggage too far. The staff is very friendly and accommodating; even getting up early so I could get a 5:30 taxi to the airport. I liked that if you find the Duomo, you can find your way ba... Read more

We stayed here for two nights. It was only a five minute walk from the train station. Everything was spectacular including the employees, the cleanliness, the breakfast, and the room. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 9+.

Staff members at the front desk were very helpful, spoke good English, and even retrieved a pair of "left" sunglasses from breakfast. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food and drinks, we really enjoyed the coffee as we are admitted coffee "snobs." This is also a good location, very close to the train station and just steps away from a lively street with restaurants and easy walk to the Duomo.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. From the staff to the room to the buffet breakfast to the comfortable lobby. When our driver arrived, we were scepticle as it was a door front on a side street, but once at the reception desk were were very pleased. The desk clerk was so friendly and ready to help in any way. He told us about the pastry shops and restaurants in the area and informed us about the room amenities and the breakfast starting at 7:30. This place was agem we would stay again for... Read more

We booked online a double nonsmoking room with air conditioning. Our room has a musty smell from the bathroom, an ashtray in the main room, and no air conditioning. The street noise is pretty loud too. We also spotted a gecko type lizard running through the hallway. I requested a different room, but was told they were fully booked (which I highly doubt) and they couldn't do it. I'm a very laid back person and don't require much when it comes to a place to sleep, but this isn't even worth the dea... Read more

Incredible location, so easy to find, and what great service! I am so impressed with this place. Not only is it decorated really cool, but the customer service we received (we stayed two nights in October 2016) was incredible. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends travelling to Florence, if that tells you anything.

Perfect location to all the major sites, train station a few blocks away. No need for car or taxis. Breakfast served from 7:30 included a full array of hot and cold items for personal selection. Yummy! Numerous restaurants, delis, gelato shops , stop for a coffee or wine, then walk some more. We returned to this hotel for one night before our flight. And most helpful in confirming arrangements. We would stay at this hotel again.

We had a car on this trip which, believe me, is not a great idea given the availability of trains in Italy. We shot right by the parking lot which looks like a courtyard, no markings. To return to the lot required a 15 minute detour. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It must have been a villa at one time because the public spaces have amazing ceilings and our room even had an ancient painted wooden ceiling. The staff is all English-speaking and very friendly and knowledge... This hotel used to be part of a large monastery. Room has ample space, comfortable beds and wooden floors. Each room has a painting of someone famous on the door to the room. Very cool. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is just down the street from the central market and the Domo area.

The hotel is full of character and it's location just around the corner from the train station and an easy walk to all the sights makes it a great place to stay. Staff are all friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good. The receptionist recommended a place to eat very close which had lovely local food and was excellent value. A bit tight for space in the bathroom but the shower was roomy and good. All round excellent value.
