A friend had recommended this hotel to me, and it certainly delivered. You cannot better its position in the centre of everything and right by the Arno. If you are a designer store person then you would be in heaven, as Dior, Ferrogamo and shortly Valentino are almost next door. Not for me, but it made it a quiet street despite its position. The hotel is 2 old palaces and is beautiful. Maybe it does not have some of the modern features of new hotels, but has charm and character everywhere. I had... Read more

When you visit a new place for the first time, you look for many things from a hotel - central location, helpful, friendly, and efficient staff, and a calm oasis after days of sightseeing. The Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci provided all of these amenities and more. The location is ideal for walking to all the major attractions of Florence - you are a block from the Arno River where you can stroll along with a view of the Ponte Vecchio and the rest of the city's bridges, and the Uffizi, the Duomo, and ... We stayed only for 3 nights in this amazing hotel with roof terrace restaurant. It is conveniently placed in the heart of Florence, close to all historical places and museums. Gorgeous hallway decorated with antique objects.

This centrally located hotel, on the very fashionable Via Tornabuoni, is only a few minutes walk from must see locations. It has a magnificent cosy roof garden, where one can relax and have a snack or a drink, while viewing the roof tops of Florence. The staff was friendly and most helpful. If your taste is old-world charm, than this is the place for you.

This is off of a plaza. You walk into a hallway to the desk area where you are welcomed. You are escorted to the fourth for terrace overlooking the domo. After signing papers you go to your room. Ours was spacious and had a great bed. It did involve a lot of walking and going up several stairway and hallways. The breakfast was average. The place is walking distance to all the sights. Staff is kind and caring.

Hotel Tornabuoni is located on a street in Florence that has every high-end designer imaginable. But it is a moderately-priced wonderful choice. The room we had was quite spacious. Although the antique furniture is a bit worn (and seemed to be not as nice as some of the other adjacent rooms), the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The elevator is quite small - fits only a couple of people and their luggage. The breakfast buffet was traditional European style. There are a coup... Read more

In my opinion this Hotel should be refreshed to give it back its original shiny look, but it's anyway a good way to live in an old traditional building of the center of Florence. I found a good rate online (119,00 euro for DUS) for higher price, better choose another place

Great location, can walk to all the sites but in a bit classier and quieter area. Breakfast was good. Common areas of hotel were nice. Room was okay, but we had several flies. Bathroom was nice and clean. Don't stay on first floor, it smells. Also, walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors around and above you. Wish we had checked out the other floors earlier because we would have asked to be on one of them instead. The hallways of the other floors looked nicer and they didn't smell l... Read more

The absolute best aspect of this hotel is the location. I've written this in other reviews, but it's worth repeating, when traveling location can really help you make the most of your visit to a city. The location of this hotel puts you in the middle of everything. The Uffizi Gallery is just a short 5 minute walk away, the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge is just slightly further, maybe 7 minutes walk. The infamous Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower with it's stunning Duomo is just a 5 minute ... Read more

The hotel was very quaint with unique rooms throughout. The rooftop terrace was the perfect place to spend happy hour each evening, allowing great views of the beautiful city of Florence. They had a substantial breakfast offering that got us ready for our busy days. Great location near the river, and if you like shopping, just steps away from many high end stores!

This hotel was recommended by a friend who had visited there over 10 years ago. We were not disappointed as the location is on one of the most elegant streets in the historical center of Florence. You can walk to every historical and famous site right from the hotel. We had a corner room right next to the breakfast room but there was no problem with noise at all. The breakfast was very complete with many choices. We did go to the rooftop terrace for a drink and it was beautiful with many bl... Read more

This hotel was a delight! I traveled solo to Florence for a couple of days after an art retreat in Cortona (Tuscany) and found the hotel and staff to be so graceful and welcoming. If I'd had more time I would have loved to lounge in one of the living room areas with a book and simply BE right there, relaxing, soaking it all in. As it stood, I had very limited time to see as much of the art of Florence as possible, so I didn't get to linger much at all. However, I loved Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci an... Read more

Frankly...this hotel is probably even nicer than the pics we saw when booking. Very nicely/classically designed boutique hotel, and an easy walk from any attraction. Staff was great, breakfast was very good, and that rooftop area is a heck of a place for a drink or a meal! Room was spacious, clean, and as advertised.

This hotel is old, understaffed, mechanically challenged and frankly just a bit dirty. The only saving grace is the location, period. What has been described as a charming boutique experience is really just a an amalgamated creature of adjacent buildings that force you to wind your way around corners, up stairs and over thresholds to hopefully find your room or the lounge. The furnishings were shabby, not well cared for vintage, shabby. I would not stay here again.

This was a business trip, the hotel is much better though for a tourist traveller. The place is so special that it's difficult to judge. Objectively, my room and bathroom were to small, the bed just 1.8 meters long (i.e. too short), it was difficult to reach only by stairs. But then... this is an old town-house with an abundance of historical decoration and items, just delightful. Even with a dedicated reading rooms with armchairs, a fireplace, a book-shelf, tapestries at the wall, ... It ... Read more

Good location very clean with cold AC , hot water and great water pressure. Just minutes from the Duomo and several other spots. There a nice shop a block north with good sandwiches and beer. The square out front is a good gathering area in the evening for street music. The free breakfast was enough to start your day. They'll bring you free ice on request.

In May I stayed here with friends, what an amazing room, brilliant roof top bar. Wonderful location. I have nothing to complain about, every afternoon in the street below a violinist even amplified the delight by playing classical tunes..... It was great! The room was totally over the top with the most amazing ceiling and wall paintings, my friends weren't crazy about it,but I loved it. The roof bar was just Devine.

My family of 4 stayed here for two nights in July 2016. It's a charming old building with an inviting old world feel and modern amenities. Hotel is one block from the Arno and the Santa Trinita bridge. 10 minute walk from SMN train station. Via Tornabuoni has great luxury shopping too. It's a 10-15 walk to the Duomo but we enjoyed a little distance from the crowds surrounding main tourist areas. I've been to Florence a few times, but this hotel was the most disappointing. Definitely good is the location; a few steps from all the important sights. People in the hotel are friendly, and it is a beautiful old building with a nice roof terrace, but that's about it. I almost forgot. The air conditioning was working well and silently as well. However, my room was the size of a closet; no drawers, nothing. So everything that you couldn't hang had to be placed outside on the desk or chair. This ... Read more

Hotel is situated in ancient building, have interesting interior with old-style furniture and pictures. This is a difficult review to write and I struggled with the rating. The hotel itself is quite nice. I enjoyed the quirky layout and some of the older aspects of the hotel. The staff was also quite friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the location of our room was directly under the breakfast area, and was very noisy, to the point of waking us at 6am with morning preparations (this is why I opted for the 3 rating) So, the size of the rooms was fine, the bathroom was plenty big for us. The location is spot on in the center. The service is friendly but a tiny bit slow: being very used to the key cards, it can get a bit annoying to wait for your room key while the staff is helping the people either arriving or leaving. The breakfast was nice: I appreciated the freshly cut fruit they served. Again: service was friendly but you have to run after the them to order your coffees. I would have wanted to give this place 3,5 but as halves don't exist, 3 it is.

The reception was very good and understood English well. The rooms and the hotel had a beautiful florentine interior design. Location is very good, as others have noted. If you need to drive there it is a very convoluted route to avoid the automatic bollards that normally block the street off, and a GPS will not know it. You can be fined driving within even a few blocks. It is a bit on the edge of the tourist area, which means one can find local shops and restaurants within a few blocks to the west. We had two comfortable beds whereas we would prefer one double bed but being in our fifties we managed not being so close to each other. Bathroom was also spacious with a bathtub and shower.
