Almost all the major attractions of Florence are within walking distance to the hotel. The downside though is the lack of parking space and large rooms. The train station is just a short walk away and there are lots of eateries around too. Rooms are small but reasonably maintained. Overall a nice recommend.

The Hotel is located three blocks fron Florence Main Train Station (Santa Maria Novella) so it's a walking distance if traveling by train. During my four days inf Florence i didn't need to used any kind of transportation, because the hotel is virtually 'walking distance' from everything. The hotel is housed in an Old Building, and its doesn't seem quite renovated. So if your are staying there, expect all the issues related to an Old Place. Depending on the room it could be a bit noisy during ... Read more

Yes this is a 2 star hotel but it was great value for money. Fantastic location, just a quick walk from all the main attractions in Florence. Also surrounded by great shops and restaurants. The room was a decent size, along with the bathroom. Air con worked and the room had a TV. The lobby downstairs looks a bit average but we didn't need to use it for anything. All in all no complaints and very happy to stay there again.

This hotel was dirty. It smelled because there were lots of cigarette butts on the window ledges of both the bathroom and room windows. The door plate wasn't fastened tightly so the lock wasn't secure. There were holes in the bedspread and the extra pillow was badly stained (I shudder to think why). The shower water just ran out onto the bathroom floor and tried to drain somewhere by the toilet so the whole floor was wet and slippery. I checked myself out after 1 night and forfeited the other 2 ... Read more

This hotel is the worst that I have ever been to. It is very chaotic, front desk are horrible, very impolite (Luka or Louis). He literally yelled at me. The bed sheets are clean but the covers and everything else smells, and you can tell they have been not washed in ages. When I arrived, one of the garbage bins had the garbage of the previous guest. I had to carry my luggage up and down 12 stairs because it is a merge of 2 buildings and floors are not leveled. Breakfast was in another hote... Read more

The only good thing about this place is the location. Close to all attractions. Terrible things were: Dirty, filthy all around There is no wifi in the rooms, just at reception area Poor breakfast There was a leaking pipe in the toilet of our room

After reading several trip advisor comments, I was very apprehensive about staying at hotel spagna. When I arrived, the front of the hotel and the reception isn't great. It's not dirty, just needs a paint job and some tlc. I was told politely that check in wasn't till 2 and that I could leave my suitcase in the back room and come and get it later. I waited several hours, roaming around the city until it came to about 1 o'clock and was told my room was ready. The receptionist also spoke very g... Read more

Hotel was good, I mean the room was good, the location was just perfect!! Next to Santa Maria Novella Station and Duomo. We paid more for breakfast and ate in the next hotel Bonciani (Something like that)), and the breakfast was perfect there.

Great location, but I would not recommend this hotel because it lacks basic comfort. There is free wifi, but only in the lobby and not in the hotel room itself. Forget about showering because there is no hot water; the water temperature gets as warm as room temperature and the water pressure is too low. Air conditioning and tv function alright, but the hotel room is not clean. Find another hotel- there are plenty in Florence.

The reviews were quite dubious, but this hotel is really good. It is cheap, the check in went fast, the rooms were okay and the location (close to the train station, next to the S. Maria Novella) is perfect. The wifi was not working properly and the rooms were a bit small and old, but overall a very good experience.

We were for three nights there. Our room was in the 5th floor and just for 4th floor it has elevator. You can access to free wifi only in the lobby and you can't connect to wifi in your room. Rest room is so big but bath cabine is too small ??. But staffs were good and room was tidy. Air conditioning didn't work well . You be confused by finding it for the first time because to buildings have spagna board. But you can access to Doumo and shoping centers and train station very well.

This tiny hotel is right in the middle of Florence's main street. It's a stone's throw away from the train station and also the pick-up point for all the best bus tours of the region. It also has a number of lovely cafes just outside it to pick up breakfast on the way out. And of course, the big bonus.. it's on the street that takes you right up to the Florence Cathedral. A tourist's delight... especially if you're a tourist on a budget!

I'm a very optimistic guy, I try to see the good in everything... I guess the only good thing about this hotel is the location and that I didn't see any bugs. If cleanness is not your priority, and I mean, a clean room is the last of your concerns this might be your place. The staff and the owners seem like they give up. They're not even friendly. This is a place that I would not recommend, and if I ever stay here again it would means that everything went south really quick or I'm drugged and dr... Read more
