Made reservations for an important trip to Florence with family - planned only to be there one night during a holiday weekend. Arrived to be told they had "bad news" for me because they weren't going to honor our reservation. Manager was too "busy" to talk to me and so I waited 15 minutes to appeal to him (hotels usually keep a room or two in reserve). While I waited, the front desk manager said they had known since night before they were overbooked but did not contact me or expedia. (who w... Read more

This centrally located hotel is a pleasure to look at and pleasant to stay in. We had lots of space and a lovely bathroom. Rooms can be noisy if you face the street but that is just the nature of an ancient, narrow-street city. Staff is very pleasant and helpful and breakfast is very nice. Fake eggs are everywhere but there are lots of other options. We stayed in seven different hotels in Italy and this one was the most comfortable and elegant. Just the front doors tell you you are in for a plea... Read more

Right in the heart of Florence the location couldn't have been better. The staff are friendly and efficient from the receptionists to the breakfast staff. Room was spacious and well appointed. The standards of cleanliness were faultless. If I'm ever back in Florence this would be my first choice.

The second part of our honeymoon was in Florence and this hotel was excellent. Very clean, luxurious feel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast is not that extensive but the staff are very attentive making fresh cappucinos or espressos - nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended for its central location. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

This was not my first stay in Pierre Hotel. It is a very nice hotel with large rooms, Excellent location. This time we were a group of 8 and I was lucky to upgrade to a suite. There is nothing to say against this hotel and even though it is not my favorite hotel in Florence I allways consider among my top choices. Very kind and helpful staff make your stay even better.

This hotel is perfectly located, equidistant to the Duomo and to the Ponte Vecchio! You step out of the hotel and yo are surrounded by stores and in minutes you reach the Duomo and all the art pieces around it. Florence is like an open museum. You see and experience the work of Michelangelo everywhere. The city has preserved its heritage. There are countless little lanes and all the buildings are preserved in their brich-stone finishes. Walking in the city is like walking back and forth in histo... Read more

The hotel is a great find in a really active and vibrant area. Being tucked right in the heart of the center of Florence, this hotel offers a walk out experience directly into the thick of the best Florence has to offer. To cap this off, we were traveling with a handicapped relative and the staff could not have been more helpful. The rooms were okay but the hotel in general was well kept and up to date. Breakfast is awesome and because the breakfast room is not handicapped accessible, the hote... Read more

With an excellent location and friendly staff, this is all that this hotel can offer. Old rooms, rather smelly, tiny motor home like bathroom... Uncomfortable bed, and below below standard breakfast for a 4 star hotel anywhere in the world. Stay anywhere else, for your back's sake

We stayed for 4 days here a few weeks ago. The location is perfect, close to everything, although it seems that Florence is small enough that most hotels would be in good locations. We booked 2 rooms for our stay 6 months ago and were told it was a 4 star hotel. I would argue with that, or maybe the 4 star hotels in Italy are not the same as in the US. The lobby was very nice, the staff VERY nice, but my complaints would lie with the rooms. We were high enough up - the 5th floor - no noise... Read more

We had a booking at another hotel and when we arrived the booking was messed up and they couldn't fit us in until the following day. Our hotel rang over to Pierre Hotel and they very kindly offered us a room and when we arrived, slightly flustered, they made us feel welcome and handled everything smoothly and swiftly. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delish and anywhere that has Prosecco in an icebucket at 7am is my kind of hotel!!! We actually loved this hotel and were a little sad to ... Read more

Absolutely loved our stay here. Great boutique type hotel, perfect location to most sights. Friendliest & most helpful hotel staff. Room was decorated modestly but roomy & comfortable. There was a front desk clerk named Jacque or John who was most helpful with great dining recommendations. We asked him 3 nights in a row and every one he recommended was better then the next. A warm, welcoming, comfortable experience from the moment we arrived. The staff was always smiling and helpful for all our hotel and travel questions. Breakfast every morning was full of fresh fruits, cereals, breads, eggs, juices, and a smiling attentive wait staff for coffees. I would recommend this hotel highly, centrally located and they really helped us when I fell and had to be taken to hospital. They assisted my family to hospital and worked with area hotels to find us another room (very busy this time of year). Assisted us in moving luggage to the other hotel as I was in leg brace. Very comforting to out of country traveler. Very nice helpful staff.

The rooms and hotel overall are clean, elegant, well maintained. Beds and linens very comfortable; we were here three nights on two occasions and the quality of everything was consistently high. Breakfast buffet is ample and offers a wide variety of fresh fruit, cheese and meats, cereals, eggs, pastries, more. The location is superb, 5 minute walk to Pont Veccio, yet on a quiet side street, so no noise at night. We never even heard our neighbors and the hotel was full. But the highlight is the ... What a delight to find an Italian hotel where the staff are consistently warm and helpful, the breakfast excellent, the rooms and baths decently sized and clean, and most important of all, the location superb! Hotel Pierre is almost equidistant from the sights to the northern end of the tourist center and the southern end. Everything was less than 15 minutes walk away, including the railway station. Service was excellent even late at night.

Hotel Pierre has a great location without any doubt. Also all employees are polite. Breakfast is also nice. Almost everything perfect if we are not counting small elevators, absence of shelves in the wardrobe, extremely expensive mini-bar. But all of these are not disturbing facts for a short city trip. The real problem, and extremely big one, is cheating with the room types. And that is really annoying. When you get a room, on a short trip, you are immediately going out (or at least we do) and ...
