Great service! Amazing people. The nice lady in the reception was so kind and so helpfull. The rooms were spotless clean. Breakfast was great. Tasty and fresh. We loved it! The location is the best. The manager of the hotel was so friendly and welcoming and was really interested in the well being of his guests. At breakfast he greeted everyone and he really cared. You dont see this kind of caring and service anymore. It was a joy.

Hotel Pendini sits right on the Piazza della Republica. This makes for a great central location within a ten minute walk of about every site you would want to see. The Duomo is about five minutes away. The hotel has a nice & simple breakfast. After being at the Rome Marriott, it was quite a bit less - however - compared to 90% of Italian breakfasts, it was superb. The Rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and I would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the end of May 2016. The hotel is fantastically situated right in the centre of Florence, and a short walk to most things you want to see. The building is magnificent, although there are some renovations going on and the view from the room was slightly spoilt, but not enough to reduce my rating of the hotel. The photos on the stairs give you a real sense of the history of the area. The room was fantastic, large, with high ceilings and a great bathroom. The staff couldn't ... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had booked the family room (for three adults) which had two bedrooms, one with a double bed and another with two single beds and one common bathroom, with one decent spaced closet room. The decor of the room was very Florentine and tastefully done, it was clean, with good housekeeping and with a nice hot walk in shower. There was no mini bar, but really who needs one anyway? The best thing about this hotel is the location. Central with a capital C. All the major ... Read more

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for two nights and we wish we could have spent more time here! We stayed in room 410 which is positioned near to the breakfast room. Our room was decorated gorgeously, it was a rather spacious room for an inner city hotel. To top it off the shower was one of the best I have experienced. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the train station and in the heart of Florence with a very short walk to Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. The staff were all very... Read more

We loved our stay here! We got a very spacious, clean room with a large bathroom facing the piazza. The hotel is in a super central location - just a 5min walk from the Duomo, Uffizi, and Galleria dell'Accademia. It was the perfect base to explore the city for the weekend. The AC worked really well and kept the room very cool at night. The free breakfast in the morning had good basic options - pastries and yogurt/fruits. The only downside was the noise from the piazza at night - there was loud m... Read more

Totally agree with Shannon B from Tulsa. Our family stayed in 418 too. Perfect set up. Peaceful nights sleep. Top location. Superb breakfast. The artist in the square painted a picture for us of the view from the square. Great restaurants all around and so close to all the major attractions. Staff were so helpful and cheerful. Definitely recommend and we shall be back. There is a lift but our kids liked to race Daddy up the four flights of stairs. Great for burning of pizza.

The hotel was well located near Piazza della Repubblica, a hive of activity. The hotel is very quiet (helpful for a good nights sleep). The communal areas are comfortable, peaceful and offer culture (with interesting photo story of the history of the hotel and area around the hotel). The food at breakfast was good, but the tables were tightly packed together and there is no evening option for food at the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and functional. This hotel came highly recommended by several friends so we were very excited to stay here. There was a slight glitch with our booking that was not the hotels fault or mine - it was a booking.com issue. The Hotel Pendini (formerly a historic Pensione) is located right on the Piazza della Republicca, one of Florence's major meeting places, although technically it's in a side street leading to the square. If you would like food recommendation, do not ask for it at the hotel. We where going on our honeymoon and had one night in Florence. One month in advance I emailed and asked if they could recommend a good restaurant for us. I also gave names of the restaurants I already had looked up, but where fully booket on the date we where there. So that they could se what kind of food and price we where looking for. The reply I got was "It's just a restaurant, not a museum. You do not need to book a tab... Read more

Great Location, but quite difficult to get to. The room was quite pricey and had very limited amenities. It was very small with no room to leave suitcases open as there was no dresser and very limited space in the armoire. The bathroom was tiny with no counter space. The building has no soundproofing so it was quite noisy at night and the AC was loudly malfunctioning. On the positive side, the manager was very helpful with the car parking situation.

Hotel Pendini has a remarkable combination of positives. It??s in a perfect central location. The management and staff are eager to make sure you enjoy your stay. The hotel has been recently renovated and refurbished with a keen eye to quality. Things like bathroom fixtures and window frames are clearly new and top quality, and chosen to maintain the historic character of the hotel. The breakfast offerings are generous and enjoyable in a nicely decorated dining room. I??ll add this comment mo... Read more

I arrived around 12 noon and was able to get the room immediately. Our room #204 had 2 bedrooms which shared a lovely large bathroom with tub/shower combo. All very new and beautiful fixtures. The bed was a queen/king; the armoire was the closet, just fine; and there were 2 nightstands and a desk. The room was twice as tall as it was wide! A large window overlooked Via Strozzi. The location of the hotel was right in the heart of downtown Florence. The room was average size, nicely decorated, NO refrigerator. The hotel staff was rude and could not be less helpful. On 3 separate occasions with 3 separate employees, we were made to feel that we were more of an annoyance than a guest. If you're looking for amenities, customer service or respect, this is not the place for you. We traveled throughout the country and this was by far our least favorite stop. We would never boo... Perfect location for tourist visit to Florence. Hotel was clean, staff competent and willing to provide information. Breakfast was excellent, this was the most upscale feature of the hotel. The bed was comfortable although typically European small. Our only issue was a small, tight shower that had to be assembled each time it was used. Getting into the shower you had to pull two walls together that had rubber dams at the bottom making a somewhat loose seal with the drain pan. The shower did... Read more

The Pendini is right in the middle of the city, within walking distance of everything one might want to see and do. There is a lovely lounge where drinks are available, the breakfast is lavish and beautifully presented, the staff are all really helpful and friendly, taxis are summoned in an instant. However, there is a curious imbalance between the luxury of the public rooms and the bedrooms themselves.
