From May 8 to 13, my wife and I had a tremendous experience at the Kraft hotel. Not only were the front desk people welcoming, courteous and helpful (one offered to arrange a change in our transfer pick-up time to allow us to have breakfast on the final day), but also the servers in the restaurant were extremely friendly and efficient. At breakfast, Roberto was always welcoming and served the best cappuccinos we had throughout Italy. The 6th floor terrace offered indoor and outdoor dining, and t... Read more

Really good rooms. Well managed hotel with fantastic roof terrace. The pool looks really inviting but is unheated so in april was not too tempting. The dining area spreads across the roof top terrace which has amazing views across Florence the surrounding hills. The reception staff are incredibly efficient in arranging cars, taxis etc and giving advice on local eateries.

Location. In a "quiet" tidy residential area that is only 10 minutes walk from the central train station. To walk to the main historic central area will take about 15 /20 minutes of pleasant walk!! About 4 minutes walk from the River!! Rooms: We stayed in a Superior double room on the 4th Floor. The room was large with a lovely little balcony and outside seating, perfect for soaking up the late afternoon sun!! The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were lovely and soft!! We recently returned from a 6 night stay at the Kraft Hotel. Upon arrival we were given an upgrade on the 1st floor but unfortunately there was extensive work on the neighboring building so we were unable to have the window open ,therefore little outside light. We enjoyed being in the quiet neighborhood near the river and the terrace and pool area were very nice with a gorgeous view of Florence. We also enjoyed the wide variety of food at the breakfast buffet. The hotel is well kept and the staf... Read more

Stayed here for a few days after a wedding in Lucca last year. Location wise this hotel is out of the main tourist areas so not suitable if you are not prepared to walk. Its also just by the river which is great as you can walk into central Florence by the river. Probably about 10 minute walk to the Duma etc. Positives: Great parking concierge service Big Rooms Rooftop restaurant with views of Florence especially in the evening Good food both breakfast (included) and evening meals Friendly staf... Just returned from a wonderful week in Venice and Florence. This hotel is minutes from the railway station and five minutes walk from the ponte vecchio bridge. All other places of interest are close by. Our room was very comfortable and clean and had a nice balcony. Great swimming pool on the roof and lovely rooftop restaurant. Was so nice and romantic my partner proposed and I accepted!

Just spent two very pleasant days in Florence. Much more enjoyable than our last visit in August a few years ago. Hotel great. Good location for centre and railway station. Clean and smart with good service. Took own teabags and had kettle in room for proper cup of tea! Would certainly visit again.

There's much to praise about the Kraft Hotel, from the moment we arrived late on the Saturday night to the moment we left on the Saturday afternoon, we were dealt with professional and diligent staff. The location is very good (its 10 minutes from the train station - As a tip, just use google street maps to check out the route - its too easy to get lost with one missed turn) We had a triple (family) room which was clean, reasonably large and with a high ceiling. The only negative is the limited... Read more

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kraft. We stayed in the 3 person room with 3 single beds. Very comfortable and clean. The room was of the period of the building and had lovely furniture however the bathroom was modern and well appointed. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The terrace bar area has excellent views over the city and the outdoor pool on the roof is the perfect place to unwind. The food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed my morning capuccino. First time to visit Florence. This room offered more space than some of the others. It was quiet, light filled and an enjoyable stay. I stayed on the first floor in a corner room which looked over the street. It was pleasant to open the large windows and allow the breeze to come in the room. I would stay here again.

Revisited this hotel after 15 years, which I used for business. This time my fiancé and I retuned for a romantic city break. All the staff have been there for a minimum of 20 years - that must say something! The Kraft Hotel is wonderfully located, 5 minutes from the station, 15 minutes from the airport and a blissful 10 minute stroll to the Ponto Vechio along side of the River Arno. The Kraft is one of the few hotels in Florence with a roof top swimming pool and a beautiful romantic terrace wh... Read more

Neighborhood location a few blocks from the main city streets of Florence. Easy walking access to all locations. Close to the City Sightseeing bus stop and River. Rooftop breakfast offered a great view to take in the day and included meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, breads, fruit and more. Valet parking was the best option if visiting by car. Room was comfortable with a large bathroom and small balcony for stepping out to sit and enjoy the neighborhood.

This hotel was great for our honeymoon. Nice big rooms lovely decor. Clean bathrooms. Cleaners came in every day. We stayed Bed and breakfast. Breakfast was continental with bacon and egg if you wanted it. The rooftop pool was perfect you could see everything from up there. And we even had a day where we had the pool to ourselves for a few hours. Would definately recommend a visit.

This is the most excellent hotel to stay, if you want to make a city trip to Firenze !! A nice Hotel with very kind staff. The room we stayed in, was very big, but also a bit ould fashioned ; but clean. The terrace on the rooftop, with nice overview of the city is breathtaking. The food is also very good and the staff try to speak english, in an italian way. They are soooooo kind.

Beautiful Hotel, Great location- little dated in some areas and could be better kept overall..wouldn't call this hotel the 4* that it claims. Some issues with staff particularly on the rooftop terrace, we went to the restaurant on the second night off our visit and waited over half an hour for our orders to be taken in a restuarant that wasn't overly busy at all! I actually had to get up and remind the waiter myself that we were yet to order, no apology or acknowledgment of this, he simply took ... Read more

My wife and I and several friends stayed for four nights while sightseeing in Florence. This is a great medium priced hotel in a very good location with a great roof top pool. The location is quiet and convenient- it is still a 15 min walk from the Duomo, but it is walkable. The room was lovely. The staff for the most part was friendly. What put it over the top for us was the roof top pool, restaurant/bar area for relaxing after a hot day sightseeing.

The Kraft Hotel has clean rooms, nice staff and it's qt walking distance from the centre. The food in the hotel restaurant is not good not bad. It's average (for Italians) The first night our room had water coming from the walls, and the staff handled it great! But it is not what they say they are. It's good, but not great. Ow The pool is very small, and when we were there, there were a lot of American guest. Very noisy and loud.

5-10 minutes to the heart of the city. A walk you need after eating & drinking as much as we did. Tired decor but exceptionally clean, relaxed service but all in keeping with the holiday feeling. Breakfast a little iffy but edible, roof top bar and pool super, especially after the 35'C days we had. Would definitely go back and recommend.

We where a family of four (two adults, two kids) staying for a week. We chose the hotel mainly because of the room size, air conditioning and the pool area on the roof. The room standard was good. I'm not a fan of wall-to-wall carpets and perfumed cleanings products, but those where the only two negative things with the room/cleaning. The stay at Kraft Hotel is worth it for the Rooftop alone. Incredible views of Florence and surrounding areas from the rooftop pool and restaurant. Hotel is clean, service was friendly. I would have loved to give this hotel a 5 as its rooftop pool and the view from the bar are AMAZING! I think possibly one of the best views in Florence. Unfortunately I only scored this hotel a 3 as our room was very average. We were on the bottom floor and were not able to receive wifi - despite this being part of our hotel package deal.
