It's a nice place to stay, customer service was excellent especially Cristian at the font desk on the other hand rooms need some improvement. I stayed in room 504 it was a little noisy since it was at the bottom floor and on a busy street, hair dryer wasn't working and in the bathrooms they did a poor job. But overall it was good.

Great location, friendly staff and the most important thing??? They make the best fresh Danish pastries for breakfast, they are so fresh and melt in the mouth. I have noted the other comments made and I can't agree, that I had the same experience!

Since we took the train here from Venice we loved the location because it is a 5 minute walk from the station. In addition it is walkable to all points of interest in the old city. The room had no drawers to put your clothes and a very small closet. There is a fridge. Bathroom was great with shower/ bathtub. Clean !! Bed is firm but comfortable. Breakfast was above average. Wonderful stay. WiFi can be slow in the room but us free

recently visited Italy, booked our accommodation through a package deal so our hotel choices weren't our own, but this one certainly didn't disappoint. beautiful hotel, friendly staff and an amazing breakfast in the morning, cooked breakfast i might add, which is a rare find in Italy. rooms are spacious, clean, modern and comfortable and its located just a 2min walk from the Santa Maria station and a 5min walk from the Duomo. i would definitely go back my next visit to Florence.

This hotel is tucked away on the back side of the train station so it is a little hard to find. The front desk staff was great. Our room on the first floor had no windows or view so we did not spend much time there. The bathroom had a great shower and the room was small but adequate. This hotel had the best in room internet of all of the hotels that we visited in Northern Italy.

Location was good...short walk from train station, albeit a bit confusing so map it out ahead. Check in was easy. Given a room in the extension so needed to walk outside. Not a big issue as it's short, flat and paved for luggage, and covered (which was good as it was raining during my visit). Small elevator (typical) and very new looking. TV was "embedded" in the mirror. Room was very large, and the best most solid bed/mattress of my whole trip (thank you!!). Bathroom was nice, but the shower ha... Read more

One could not, perhaps, accuse the Hotel Embassy of being flashy, but its understated charm is part of its attraction. Helpful staff, clean and well serviced rooms and, best of all, an exceptional breakfast. The location is out ot the bustling centre but yes, we did have a room with an attractive view, and its only 10 minutes on foot from San Lorenzo for example. Would definitely consider as a base next visit.

We stayed in room 105 for a few days. The room is in desperate need of a remodel. The shower has black mold all over. The mattress was so hard the you can not push down on it. Any review you have read about horrible Wi-Fi is true. We would have to go sit in the courtyard to use the internet because the signal is too weak to reach our room. The staff at the from desk wouldn't smile or great us the whole length of our stay. The only part of our stay that was nice was breakfast the ladies in there ... Read more

I don't know why I can't give a 1 star review. As I sit in this room, night 2, dying of heat, this is what we have been through... And I really don't want to write a bad review for a business but honestly I don't want anyone to go through what we are experiencing. At first, you think the place looks good. Updated modern with nice style. That part is nice. But then, you will find out AC doesn't work. Actually, the front desk controls your AC, also if your window is open you AC will auto-off (... I'm sorry but having just read some recent reviews (and inadvertently said one was helpful, I wanted to say it wasn't) I have to say how difficult some people are to please. Whilst the room wasn't perfect, for example the bathroom architrave had got wet and was swollen...it was spotlessly clean, cool and spacious. Breakfast was also excellent. Lots of choice and friendly staff. Location was also great. I'd recommend this to friends and family.

So we must have gotten the room they did not put on their brochure. It was pretty crappy. First, I should add the service suck!!! The woman that worked the day we checked in and this before we seen the room was very rude and snippy. We should have left then. In our room the ceiling had water stains not a beautiful picture that they have on their brochure. The walls look like it needed some paint it looked old and dirty. The room also had a musty smell. We also could not go up to the balcony w... Read more

This was a wonderful hotel and a great shower. You miss that when you travel. Would love to stay there again. The hotel staff was great and really told us some wonderful places to go too. Our room had a little balcony so it was quite nice since rooms in Europe are always not that big. The location was great and it was so easy to find our way around.

We recently stayed at the Embassy hotel with our two children and I highly recommend this lovely hotel. We stayed in two separate rooms that were very well maintained and clean. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. It is within walking distance to all major attractions and lovely shops. Two blocks away from the train station. Very nice full breakfast included. Great hotel and will be recommending it to my family and friends.

We requested a room for 4 people, 2 adults and two teens. We got a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath with a large and beautiful terrace. The rooms are clean, big and modern. We loved sitting on the terrace which overlooked parts of Florence. The breakfast was wonderful. Eggs, ham, fruit, pastries. The fruit was so fresh and sweet. You could also ask for an espresso or cappuccino with your breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The fact that it's near the train station was great for us, but the area itself was not particularly nice. The hotel did seem to be the best in the area, but on the whole, still not amazing. Staff on the front desk not particularly friendly. Our room was in the attached building, ground floor and seemed to be sunk down as our window only covered the top half! We also had a building site and digger directly outside and the AC was awful! Our agent accidentally booked a twin, and to be fair, the ho... Read more

After a cruise from Venice I took my family, a group of 10, to the Hotel Embassy in Florence. Location: Short walk from the Firenze SMN train station. The hotel is very well located and easy to walk to and from SMN. Rooms: We got 2 quadruple rooms, and a double. All very nice in size. The quads had a separate room with toilet and sink for the kids and the shower was in the master room. It was perfect, we even had a balcony with a table and 2 chairs, perfect for a glass of wine. Lovely big room, nice and cool in the heat of the summer. Hotel is located near to Railway Station and a short walk from the city centre and the sights, plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, and close to the hop on hop off bus. Didn't have much interaction with staff - our choice, apart from the lady who runs the restaurant for breakfast who was an absolute star. Breakfast is buffet with plenty of choice and ideal to fill yourself up for a day of sightseeing.

Very disappointed for a 4 star hotel. If this is the standard 4 star in Florence, look for a 6 star if possible. Rooms could use painting and thorough cleaning. We had problems with the first room, a Junior Suite, with noise as it was right above the streetcar line which was active until midnight and then early in the morning, sounded like a 747 was coming into the room.
