Located just steps away from the Ponte Vecchio, this hotel is a perfect central location for seeing Florence. The room was quiet and comfortable and there is a rooftop bar with beautiful views of both the Arno and Duomo. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Flight was delayed as happens out of Florence too often. Got a last minute room as I was stuck overnight. They graciously upgraded my room. Beautiful views of Ponte Vecchio. Even a clean sleeping t-shirt was on my pillow when I came in for the night. All-in-all a great choice.

This is a well appointed hotel with a very pleasant staff. The location is very close to the Uffizi Gallery. Our room has old world decor in pleasant yellow, beige, off white tones with a little pink and green. The bathroom is marble. Bed is comfortable - on the firm side. The room has air conditioning - a must in Florence during the tourist season. The breakfast room has gorgeous frescos painted on the ceiling. And the bar has a view of the city.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. We had the "room with a view" and it was beautiful. The balcony is HUGE with comfy seating overlooking the river. The room itself is also huge. The amenities are very high end. The staff everywhere are wonderful. Breakfast is quite extensive and good. You can easily walk everywhere from the hotel. The wifi is fast and reliable unlike so many hotels these days. Housekeeping is excellent. Highly recommended and a definitely a hotel to return to.

The location is perfect as it is next to the Uffizi Gallery and very close to all the major sights and markets. This was my first time staying at the Hotel degli Orafi, and it was also my first time traveling solo to Italy. The hotel was recommended by a travel agent, but I read all the reviews before I booked a room for myself. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful. I booked a single room which turned out to be on the second floor. It didn't have any view of which to speak, but it was larger than I expected. The Degli Orafi is located right on the Arno River near the Ponte Vecchio and within easy walking distance of all the main sites. We stayed in the apartment/suite section, which had funky rooms toward the back of the hotel. The rooms were clean, quite, and interesting, though the furniture in the living wasn't especially comfortable for lounging. The breakfast room is really lovely and the rooftop lounge/bar was wonderful. The concierge was helpful in finding dinner restaurants too.

The hotel earns its high marks on service and location. Right at the intersection of the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi you are in the heart of historic Firenze with easy access to everything. You‚??ll need to take a taxi from the train station if you have luggage. We arrived early in the day and I asked them to make a dinner reservation that evening for our anniversary. The 50-room Hotel Degli Orafi, located in the historical center of Florence, was our third hotel during our little tour of Italy. The location is fantastic for tourists but if you come in the high season, beware of the hoards of camera (well, maybe phone) totting tourists with or without the selfie sticks. The hotel was constantly full the few days we were staying, so check-in might not happen till 2 pm, if the previous guest left late. But there's plenty to see and eat nearby and the hotel can ... I suggest requesting a room that does not face the river - while you may lose the view, the noise from the road that passes in front of the hotel is so incredibly loud - it kept us up every night. And the hard-as-rock beds did not help. We found the staff unfriendly - fake nice, rather than genuinely helpful. The room was usually fre... Read more

We were really pleased with our choice of hotel in Florence. Hotel Degli Orafi is in a perfect location beside the River Arno between the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vechio. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beautiful fresco ceiling in the breakfast room added to its charm. We were upgraded to a suite which was clean and spacious. Next time we visit Florence we will definitely return to this hotel.

I love the location of this hotel. Right on the river, steps away from the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Museum. They upgraded us to a suite with a kitchen, but those rooms are pretty far away, requiring two elevators if you have luggage. Normally it's not a bad walk though. The bar upstairs is very nice and you get a free drink upon arrival. Staff at reception was always wonderful, the breakfast staff seemed a little scattered most of the time but they were friendly too. Breakfast foods we... Read more

We had 4 rooms reserved for our family at this Italy stop. We arrived via train from Rome early and they went out of their way to get 4 rooms available for us. The location is excellent..easy walking distance to the main attractions and right next to the Ponte Vecchio bridge. The roof top Bar was excellent with great service and views. 2 of the 4 rooms were 2 level with separate bedroom up and living room down. Hotel staff was exceptional in helping with restaurant reservations and cabs when... Read more

This hotel has a lot going for it; it is charming, incredibly well located steps from the Uffizzi and the Ponte Vecchio, and the terrace bar has a fabulous view. The staff are friendly and try to help. However, unless you are in a front room, the views are terrible (we overlooked an alley where construction was taking place, starting early in the morning). The staff try to help, but are not trained as a concierge would be. The rooms are quite small. While all of these may be small items, fo... Read more

I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel is located on the Arno, very close to the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi. It's about a 5-10 min cab ride from Santa Maria Novella station. Check-in was very easy. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I stayed in a single room, which was smallish, but sufficient for my purposes. Housekeeping kept the room very clean and received a turn down service in the early evening. No problems with noise on the back side of the hotel. No problems with the ... Read more

Fancy hotel right along the river near Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi‚?¶fantastic location!! Really enjoyed the luxury of this place! Top notch. Very helpful front desk staff. There is also parking available. The bathroom was huge and the bed was very comfortable. There are also robes provided for your comfort. The breakfast is REALLY great, as well. The price point is a little higher than others, but know that you will be staying at a very nice hotel. One of the guys traveling with us ha... Read more

We had a room overlooking the Arno. We walked everywhere - Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Pitti Palace, to name a few. The room was very comfortable, and the included breakfast was good. We had a nightcap at the bar . . . a nice outdoor seating area with a view of Palazzo Vecchio.

I visit Italy every two years and always stay au Hotel degli Orafi in Florence. This property is adjacent to the Arno River, one block from the Ponte Vecchio, and one block from the Ufizzi. You could not ask for a better location. The rooms are well appointed and the top floor bar with restaurant and terrace come with a view of the duomo at one side and the Arno at the other side. Food at the terrace is decent and the atmosphere is awesome. Along with all of this and an awesome breakfast room, t... Read more

Awesome hotel. I would highly recommend it. Walking distance to the main attractions. Great breakfast (many selections). The terrace of the American Bar on the top floor has awesome views of the Dome. Very close (2 to 5 minute walk) to Ponte Vecchio. 12 to 15 minute walk (or short taxi ride) from Florence Santa Maria Norella train station.

The location was perfect for exploring Florence. It is next door to the Uffizi Museum, and beside the Ponte Vecchio. Our room was spacious, which can be rare in many European hotels. The staff provided excellent service and recommendations. One pleasant surprise - the photographs they use on their site to show off their location are not exagerated at all! The roof top bar gives you a lovely view of the city Hall Tower, the Dome of the Duomo and the bridge. Stunning.

You can't beat the location or the hospitality! This was a pleasant find. Although we stayed only one night, we were made to feel as honored guests in a very family friendly environment. The room was huge by European standards & we had cute souvenir T-shirts waiting on the pillows. They went out of their way to convert a large bed to two twins at my daughter's request while at dinner. The breakfast was wonderful. grazie

This small, oddly layed out hotel is one building away from the Ufizzi and just yards away from the Ponte Vecchio. A taxi stand is on the next block and Duomo and Piazza Vecchio are a 5-minute walk. The hotel offers a substantial daily breakfast and service is generally good. The price is also low for the area. Those are the good points. The not so good is a room facing the main street is quite loud. The main elevator was out of service during our stay. The decor in much of the hotel is v... Read more

I was so excited about staying at this hotel - the location was perfect, the rooms looked spacious and they had a rooftop hotel. Overall, it met all of my expectations. Our room was large (I think we might have been upgraded) with a small terrace (too bad it was too cold to use). The bed was a little hard but the breakfast room was absolutely lovely and the rooftop bar was a nice touch. But the location of this hotel is the best. You are right around the corner from the Uffizi, a 15 min walk to ... Read more

On arrival we were upgraded from a double room to a suite as we were staying for a week! The service provided throughout was impeccable and always with smiles. The breakfasts were very good including cooked scrambled egg and bacon. Light meals were available in the bar on the roof with a view of the River Arne on one side and the roofs of Florence on the other. The hotel location could hardly be better, all of the main tourist attractions and numerous eating houses are within easy walking distan... Read more

Stayed here last week with our family. We had 2 rooms. The first room supposedly a upgrade but the bed was up in a loft which meant lots of steps to get up and down to the bathroom. The room had dated decor. Second room had a gorgeous view of ponte vechio, again room decor dated, but large bathroom. Beds we're extremely hard. All in all in a good location, with a great bar with out door patio and a incredible view. Breakfast was included and decent and staff was kind and help full.

This hotel had beautiful and well appointed rooms. The staff was extremely helpful both before and during stay. Prior to visit they arranged for transportation from train station, secured reservations to museums, and responded to all questions in a very timely fashion. Breakfast was wonderful. The location is next to the river and the Uffizi Museum, close to many restaurants, shops, and attractions. When we go back to Florence we will stay here again.
