The reason this is version 2 is explained below. My daughter stayed at the Byron last summer during a university-sponsored Study Abroad trip with a group of 14 other college students, and she and I are writing this review together. Thievery started even before getting into their rooms. After an early arrival, the groupā??s bags were stored in the hotelā??s baggage storage room while the group went out for an activity. Upon returning, two members of the party found their bags had been ransack... Read more

Had the worse experience dealing with these people. Booke 6 days accomodation through my Travel Agent in Austalia some 5 months ago. All went well until arrival. We were told that the room booked had water pipe problems and a room had been organised at another hotel. Fine until we saw our room, a match box room made up. We trie to book back at the Hotel Byron next morning as instructed and we re told to come back at 2:00pm. We questioned if our room was doubled booked, and were basically told t... Read more

The Byron is very close to Santa Maria Novella station and is easy to find. We arrived there before 12 noon and were pleasantly surprised to get a room right away. The room was more spacious than we expected. A good sized wardrobe, smallish tv (channels only in Italian but that is the norm in Italy), and a compact bathroom. Mattres... Read more

Great hotel for a great value! Located close to the city centre and close to the railway station, also many restaurants, bars, shops nearby. Neat rooms, good service, breakfast, friendly and helpful staff! Loved staying there!

The hotel is located close to the railway station and public transport, restaurants and places of interest, we stayed for 3 nights close to hop on hop off bus stop as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms average but our room had a great view over the surrounding suburbs very rustic.

Super budget hotel. Can't decide if it's worth 1 or 2 stars. Let start with the lobby, toilets didn't flush, upholstery on sofa's with cheap microfiber absorbing all the perspiration from the loads of visitors on a humid summer day. Extremely tiny elevator resulting in long lines or hauling all of the luggage up a couple of flights of stairs. The room is spacious by European standards, horribly outdated with hideous shockingly blue paint, mold on grout, cramped bathroom with bidet up against ... Read more
