Great location but it was really cold at night. We took additional blankets from reception.... Breakfast was ok. Personel behaves well but I can not summarize my stay as comfortable... Need to be improved about comfort and climate...

We stayed here for 10 nights and despite with what some reviews may say we found this two star hotel really good! The location was fab! Super handy, was closed to everything! The service and attention to the customer was excellent. I loved the way it was a family run hotel too, I often think these are the best since they are much more welcoming than bigger hotels, there is just something about them :) The breakfast was good, it was a continental buffet and they even had stuff for my mum who is c... Even our cab driver could not find this hole in the wall at first. Unfortunately, he did. The absolute worst place I have ever stayed! The room was so tiny you had to walk sideways and I'm thin! Room was old, dingy with practically no ventilation. Furniture looked like it came from an impoverished monastery. A/C (if you can call it that) was a contraption with a hose out the window. The "bathroom" had a toilet and sink and the room itself was a shower with a drain in the floor. When you sat on t... Read more

This is not a hotel for those seeking great comfort or luxury, but or its type of hotel it deserves a good review. The owners are helpful, the location os good if you want to see the attractions Florence has to offer. My room had a lare veranda facing the street A bit noisy, but charming There is a roof terrace, very useul in a town that can be rather stressfull..

We stumbled across this quaint old Florence hotel when we decided at the last minute to stay a night in Florence rather than return to our small village B&B. Clean, antique furnishings in hallways, art on the walls - with breakfast included, a reasonable price. Breakfast very good with authentic espresso, fresh squeezed orange juice, croissants, cheese, meats, cereal, Yogourt, fruit, toast - pretty much anything you might want. The service people were exceptionally friendly and eager to please. ... Read more

I was really happy with my choice of Hotel Bodoni in Florence. It was simple and budget conscious but very clean and neat and excellent service, breakfast and location. Very centrally located and an easy walk to all major attractions in Florence. Supermarket nearby, plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Shopping galore. I would recommend this hotel if it suits your budget. and I would stay here again if visiting Florence in future.

Stayed here for one night in Florence and had a pleasant experience overall. I had my own room. Bed was firm but wasn't too hard. A/C was working! Wifi was spotty. Large bathroom. Shower is not really separated from the toilet other than a curtain. The curtain worked for me but I can see how other people would get the entire bathroom wet. The hotel is on the top floor of the building. Elevator is small and there is only 1 elevator. They were quite strict with the checkout time for me but that'... Read more

This hotel is very central, just the other side of the Duomo. The breakfast staff were the friendliest I've ever met. We spent a day on the roof top solarium just to get a break from the hustle and bustle and the queues.

Room was nice and clean with a wonderful balcony view but bathroom was very small. Staff were great and very helpful, and the breakfast was nice. The location was perfect, 10 min stroll to the cathedral and no more than 20 min stroll to anywhere else you'd like to visit in the historical centre of Florence. Overall, we were delighted with our stay.

Located 5-15 minutes walk from every thing to see in the city centre, this hotel was cheap, nice and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are simple and offers the basic things one needs to have a nice vacation. The breakfast is really good, they have dark bread and boiled eggs, good if one wants to have other things than white bread. All in all, nice!

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were so impressed. It's a 2* but I have to say, that it knocks the socks off other 2* places I have stayed in in Europe. Location was excellent, spotlessly clean, great breakfast, attentive staff.

I've spent eight nights in this hotel, single room, July 2016. It has good and negative points. The good points are the location, the breakfast, the cleanness of the bedroom and most of all the kindness of everyone. The negative points are bathroom too small (the shower actually was the entire bathroom..) and the super-slow Wi-Fi, so that it was impossibile for me to work in the bedroom and I was obliged to come down and work in a cafe. But generally speaking I would definitely recommend this ho... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights and on the first Day we had the room on the 2nd level, Room was tiny however the view from the Room was very nice however as luck would have it the Bed in the room was actually 2 single beds put together and one of which broke . Since the hotel was fully booked we had to sleep on 1bed . For 2 adults this was very uncomfortable. The next day the room was changed however I would have expected some service recovery after spending a good amount and paying for double bed we had... Read more

Upon arrival at the hotel we were kindly welcomed and given basic info about the hotel. It seems to ve spread over a few floors as our room was on the first floor and reception is on the 4th. Our room was simple but clean and cleaned everyday. The bathroom was unusual as the shower was in the middle of the room with no cubicle and right next to the toilet, however, we were able to use everything with ease. Unconventional set-up but functional. There was a TV strapped to a stand that hung over th... Read more

Hotel Bodoni remains one of our "old friends". Finding an affordable hotel so perfectly located and able to accommodate a group of 50+ people is not an easy quest. As repeat clients we returned this year to once more stay at Hotel Bodoni. Just as before, we received a very warm welcome. The breakfast served at this hotel is delicious and the roof terrace delightful. My only disappointment was my own single room. The bedroom was exceptionally small and the shower room barely large enough to mov... Read more

I will review this facility as a 2 star hotel. To be honest, it was much better than I expected. Nice staff, no annoyances, clean but small bathroom as any other 2 star hotel, clean room and great breakfast in a beautiful and quiet terrace. The street is very quiet and really close to the main sites in Florence. Actually, I wasn't looking for anything more. I wanted a place to stay for one night in Florence, which was not in my original plans. So I booked this quite cheap, without cancelli... Read more

We have spent 2 nights, our room was small but perfectly clean (daily change of towels!) quiet and airconditioned. Breakfast in price is way more better than we expected (fresh pastery, proscutto, cheese, orange juice, yoghurts) and here comes the best part: hotel has a rooftop terrace and a huge solarium with panorama to the city with sunbeds!!

I am a single traveler from the UK who has now stayed in this Hotel three times over the last few years, also taking family members, I have looked at staying in more expensive, 'closer to the centre' Hotels, but to be honest you would be wasting your money. The location of Hotel Bodoni is amazing (literally five minutes from the Duomo and everything else you could possibly wish to see (Florence is small and the location is perfect), the rooms are cleaned every single day, the breakfast is fanta... Small hotel. The reception is on the 4th floor. So entering a little unusual do not let that put you off. Some double rooms a little small. With shower causing wetness over everything. However I was in an apartment which was not only good value but large in size. Staff could not have been more helpful

This is a friendly small 2 star hotel in a converted office building located about a 5 minute walk from The Duomo. The reception and breakfast room was on the 4th floor and our room was on the 2nd floor. The room was basic with a very comfortable bed. Chose this hotel based on the reviews as a good value hotel close to Santa Croce. We found the hotel without too much trouble although we were a little put off by the appearance of the building which was basically an apartment block with the hotel being accessed by a lift with reception on the 4th floor. The reception was friendly with comfy chairs and the breakfast room next to it. We were told our room was on the first floor which meant going back and forth on the lift. The room was spacious a... The location is great! It's a 20 minute walk from the train station and 10 to 15 minutes at the most from the most important touristy sites. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent! Delicious and varied. The bathroom was in our room which was a big plus since it was kinda difficult to find a hotel that didn't have a shared bathroom or outside the room. Would definitely stay there again :)

We were not sure about the Hotel since it is only rated two stars. But People are very friendly (also German speaking) and tray to make you stay very enjoyable and you find a typical Italian Hotel. The Hotel is locate almost at the end of one of the Shopping streets and very Close (10 min. walk) ro the majority of Tourist spots. We stayed two nights at Hotel Bodoni. Our travel details changed unexpectedly and the front desk staff were super helpful. The room was on the first floor which was slightly inconvenient to return to the 4th floor to leave the key when we went out. The rooms on the 4th floor would be more convenient. We did have a view of the Duomo. The street is busy, but there are double Windows going out tithe balcony which block almost all of the street noise. The room was sparse but very large and clean... Great value for money hotel, pretty central in Florence. We asked for quiet rooms, and got some small, but peaceful and clean rooms on the last floor, we could see Santa Maria del Croce from our windows and a panoramic view of Florence. For the breakfast -there are packed vollkorn bread slices (German healthier bread) as a better option to the classic soft white bread. The people working there were helpful and friendly, we enjoyed our stay very much.
