I stayed at this hotel about 2weeks ago for 2 nights.Location is great but that's about it. Poor breakfast. the worst was the bathroom. Filthy with molds and stranger's hair on the walls.the first night I could not shower because there was no hot water. I then informed the receptionist who had the manager come over and see for himself. He told me that it's because the room was in the rear back of the hotel. He apologized for the inconvenience and also for how dirty the hideous shower curtain was... Read more

We booked independently on line and had everything arranged before we got there by helpful staff. On arrival we were treated brilliantly, given great advice on local places of interest, restaurants and cafes and the hop-on-hop-off buses. The rooms are great value for money, breakfast in the dining room is perfect before a busy day sight-seeing, and the beds comfortable.

The only reason to stay at this hotel is for its location (central) and the train station is a few minutes walk. Unfortunately it all ends here. My experience at this hotel is something i would not want to remember. There were not too many people staying at the time, since i did not see anyone else for breakfast. It felt lonely and also spooky. Rooms are spacious but badly maintained, especially the bathrooms. It has a very old feel to it despite claims of it being recently renovated. Staff were... Read more

One cannot splurge on every vacation. We've gone the five-star route once there, but I can honestly say it was no more memorable than subsequent trips when we traveled more modestly for extended stays. Firenze itself is what's memorable ... memorable enough for my husband and me to have made three trips there ... all the way from our (also beautiful) home in Hawaii. One of our sons is studying Italian and teaching in Firenze, and we booked our most recent visits (2015 and 2016) at Hotel Axia... Read more

The location was perfect, very close to the Duermo, shopping and sites. We were able to walk everywhere from this hotel. The property is older, and the rooms were warm and the air conditioning wasn't very good. We were unable to leave the window open as it was very load, especially in the morning. We unfortunately the day we arrived in Florence there was a taxi strike and it took us almost 2 hours to get a cab from the train station and one the jay we left the strike was over, but there was a ... The hotel room was small but very clean and nice. The shower was also small but very good. Our room "looked out" onto an interior courtyard, so that we had light without all of the noise of the street. This is important because the hotel is about a block away from the Duomo in Florence, the central "headquarters" of the old Renaissance town. The staff was extremely helpful in helping plan places to see, and most importantly, how to avoid the horrid, long lines to get into museums and places o... Read more

We found this hotel to be very clean and tidy. Every day they came in and gave us clean towels and and made the bed. The bathroom was clean also. Our only complaint was the noise which (where it is situated) was not unexpected. By night three we had become used to it however the first night it was a bit of a shock that even with the windows closed we could hear absolutely everything outside!! BRING EARPLUGS! Apart from that, very enjoyable stay.
