The hotel we had booked had the builders in and so we got bumped to the nearby Atlantic Palace for the same price, which turned out to be a treat. The room was elegantly furnished with nice Florentine touches and everything worked perfectly - the windows effectively sound-proofed against the busy Via Faenza side street. The breakfast choice was outstanding and the staff were uniformly polite, cheerful and very, very helpful. Convenient for the main station and only minutes away from the main sit... Read more

Busy hotel with friendly staff at the front desk. Offering help & assistance for getting around Florence. Breakfast staff were not friendly nor welcoming, which was disappointing. Nice breakfast though. Great location central to everything. A few stairs to contend with. Room was spacious bath/shower a little awkward. No kettle/tea facilities in the room. Would stay again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable. The hotel is sited a short walk from the railway station so good for Pisa airport. Also it is within easy walking distance to all the main sights makes it idea for a base from which to see Florence.

It is located just among the beautiful spots in Florence, near the railway station, at walking distance from any objective, five minutes from the dome and ten from the old bridge. The rooms are small but the bathroom sufficient, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast covering most wishes, with two extras: the pancake-machine and the strong espresso. The four stars may not all be justified but the aftertaste is pleasant

Location was fantastic: 5 min walk from the city centre. They claim to be a 4-star hotel, but they are not; they are a 3-star property at best. Rooms are very basic, sound isolation is very poor (my room was very noisy day and night). Breakfast gets very busy - at times they were missing everything, from plates to food (eggs, bacon, bread). You had to wait for food, and as they bring it out, it would be gone in minutes. Internet (on the third floor) worked intermittently with very slow speed.

While this hotel is rated 4 star, it did not equate to 4 star in my country, but what it may have lacked in facilities it compensated in having the most extraordinary staff at every level, from manager to room staff. It is a long time since I came across such dedicated people whose only aim in life appeared to be willing and ABLE to assist the foreign traveller with whatever query was put to them. The front desk gave us a number of recommendations re restaurants and we found their choices to be ... Read more

Just a short walk from the railway station but close to Duomo. Our room (a suite) had a spa bath which was lovely for a soak after a day walking around this beautiful city. The room was beautifully clean and fresh and the bed very comfortable- king size. We would happily stay there again.

This hotel is awesome, hundreds of years old and nicely re modelled. Staff were friendly and helpful, good breakfast and best of all a very ventral location. Excellent stay in Florence. We did have to ask for some corrective surgery on the bed as was two singles with quite a gap but this was sorted out willingly. Pillows a little thin for us but overall a really neat place.

Firstly we had a very pleasant stay at the Atlantic palace hotel, staff were pleasant and welcoming and the location is fantastic for both the station, nearby lovely restaurants and very easy to explore all the main sites on foot from here. I'd say by European standards the room size is standard sized.... It was a clean and comfortable room and although perhaps 'classically' decorated just not to my taste and in need of a little modernisation really. Didn't impact our stay though, it was just r... We stayed at the Atlantic Palace at the beginning of this month and spent two nights there. Our room was spacious, cool and clean, although the bathroom was just adequate. The curtains blocked the light and the room was quiet. The older hair dryer provided had no adapter for the new outlet style, but they provided it when asked. I was concerned about the location as the hotel is on a very busy street, but other than a performer outside singing until about 9:30 p.m. one of the nights, we had no n... Read more

We loved this hotel. Fantastic position within easy walk of all sights, restaurants and shopping. Our room was tucked up the back and so quiet. The decor was very florentine. The hotel was very nicely decorated. The staff were superb and were incredibly helpful organising parking, tours and information for our visit to Monterosso. I stayed here for 2 nights in May and it really was a great place. It is literally around the corner from the market, great leather vendors and the Cathedrals. The staff is very friendly and kind. We made a great friend there by the name of Raymond. He was the sweetest man there and he was such a joy to speak to. It was quiet and relaxing. We stayed in the suite (#191) and really liked it. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel. It is very centrally located. Our room had 2 double beds, a/c and was decorated nicely. The bed is slightly hard and the pillows a bit firm but we have had this with all of our hotels in Italy so far. The room is very clean. Breakfast is is a typical (croissants, breads, coffee, eggs, fruit). I would definitely stay in one of the suites again.

The hotel is centrally located, and within walking distance of many of the popular tourist attractions and near to the train station if you fancied a day trip elsewhere. The room we stayed in (classic I think) was basic but clean, bed was roomy and comfortable. The safe wasn't working, although the porter did say he could fix it if needed. Loved the free breakfasts, and service from all employees, especially the young folks at the front desk. They were very helpful with booking reservations for museums and suggested must see places in the town. Walking distance from just about everywhere in Florence. The bathroom door was a bit awkward and the bed could have been a bit more comfy, but for six nights in Florence it was perfecto! The wifi needs to be improved.

My family and I checked into this hotel on the morning of 29th May 2016. Since our rooms were not yet ready we kept our baggage in their cloak room and left for sight seeing to come back in the evening. We had 5 pieces kept and the hotel gave a receipt. It's actually located on a main busy street not far from the train station and markets. Location was great, rooms was small but bed comfy and bathroom was ok. Breakfast was a smash and grab for all the tourists clambering to get something to eat, very basic offerings. European quad rooms aren't easy to live in as a traveller. This hotel made that very possible. Not like others our family of 4 had to contend with. This was my first time to Florence and this hotel was so cute and exactly what I expected of a smallish Italian hotel. It's immaculate and the cleaners work hard. The hotel is a short 5-10 minute stroll from SMN central station. Market stalls are just around the corner for leathergoods, souvenirs etc, and there are numerous cafes and restaurants within a couple of blocks. Our room was not spectacular, but quite comfortable. Breakfast service struggled... not helped by some guests piling 5 or 6 plates of food and having their own "private" buffet at their table!
