Overall, a good hotel close to the airport with well furnished rooms and free, fast wifi, thanks to Hhonors membership. Service was also good, with early checkin request honoured (Grazie!). Room service/breakfast selection was limited in variety /size but was a good quality offering. Conferencing facilities were very decent allowing a large plenary meeting with several breakout rooms as well. Small gym/pool area in the basement but didn't get time to indulge... This hotel is clean, modern and has very friendly staff. It's not right "in" town but the hotel has a shuttle and a taxi only costs between $11 - 22 depending on traffic. We had access to the executive lounge. Beautiful views and we had a tasty pasta/salad dinner there one evening. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

I'm giving this rating mainly for the room decor and mediocre food. The front desk and executive lounge staff were very friendly. We stayed for 3 days in a room on the 14th floor. The Tuscan view from the room was to die for. The room was clean, but I really disliked the modern decor. The night stand and desk were made completely of glass. The bed was really low to the ground. The straight lines and glass were just too modern for my taste. The hotel is outside of the city center so you ... Read more

Although a bit out of town this hotel is a good price and a free shuttle service takes you into town. It would be good if the shuttle service ran a bit more regularly- there is 2 hours between buses around lunchtime and again in the evening. Rooms were OK with a great city view. Staff were friendly enough. The bar is overpriced

We had a lovely break in this hotel. We arrived quite early on in the day and they upgraded our room to a city view which was brilliant. Even though we hired a car for our trip the shuttle bus was very handy when we wanted a wander about in town. The hotel car park was always empty and had spaces free. The room was lovely and clean and the hotel was very quiet. It is best to bear in mind that we stayed in Florence within their off-peak season so it was a lot quieter than maybe it is in the sum... Room with a good view of the center of Florence. the room is well appointed. The reception staff VERY good at their jobs. What a shame that the restaurant fails to produce food to the standard of this hotel. We dined here twice (there is not much available locally) and both our main courses were overcooked. The restaurant opens in the evening at 7.30 and by the time we left at about 8.30 they had managed to cater for about 12 people. The number of people perhaps says it it all. .

The hotel is located 20 min far from Florenze down town, near the highway and near a med/low level shopping center. The room are quite big, the equipments are below the expectations (Air conditioning not working properly, the cleaning of the bathroom was not really perfect and they didn't recor properly once advised/ the floor in the bathroom was ruined). The breakfast is acceptable but always belwo the expectations).

Hilton Florence Metropole was one of the best stays for this trip. My Hilton diamond status was recognized I was upgraded to the executive room. Breakfast was great and the lounge was very good. The lounge was located on the highest floor so it had a great view of Florence. Check in and out were so smooth and fast. I would like to say special thank you to Luisa at the front desk. Enjoyed our stay over Easter holidays, very friendly and helpful staff. The shuttle bus is a great way to get to and from the centre, and very welcome sight when your feet are aching after a day of enjoying the many sights of Florence. The best part for us was the fantastic panoramic views of Florence and the surrounding countryside from the executive lounge, although the hotel photo with the wine glass is misleading, as the Duomo is much further in the distance.

This is a good hotel. We have stayed five years ago when it had opened. Bavk then the shuttle would take you into the city. It will only take you to a near by tram station which you have to take into the city. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. I would stay here again. The city is beautiful and you have amazing views from the executives lounge.

This was a perfect Hilton stay and idealized the values we want from a hotel. From the staff treating us like VIPs (even though were just gold), to the large well cleaned rooms, to the wide breakfast selection and the Swedish waterfall massage I think I have found the hotel that all Hilton's should learn from. The only downside is the shuttle to downtown is a pain to get to sometimes, especially with luggage. My recommendation is just take the 15 euro taxi whenever you can, it's quicker and mo... Read more

The hotel in and of itself was fine. The rooms were clean although the bathrooms do need a refresh (i.e. Scratches in the bathtub that looked dirty more than anything else). Unfortunately, when we were there the shuttle took guests to the tram station. You then had to figure out how to take tram to the city. It's not very convenient. The hotel is a very comfortable oasis away from the congestion of central Florence. Using the hotel shuttle and T1 train it is less than 30 minutes to the central train station, SMN. The shuttle runs only a few times a day so if you want to instead use the 77/78 public bus ensure you get clear information from staff about how to go between the hotel and Batoni roundabout.

Poor service. Despite being a gold member of Hilton HHonors, we got a very small room. The staff weren't helpful. Breakfast was a disaster. We went to the main breakfast room but the staff directed us to EXECUTIVE LOUNGE for the breakfast due to the long waiting time. They said it would be the same breakfast. The only thing we got as breakfast was old bread, some butter, jam and some fruits!!!!! The location is far from attractions. The hotel provides shuttle to and from city centre.

We have stayed at the Hilton Metropole approx. 8 times as it is very convenient for us. We spend a month in Italy each year and the last 2 days are at the Hilton as it is close to the rental car return, close to the airport, and they offer a free shuttle to city center. Not many restaurants outside hotel but sufficient inside with good comfortable bar with bar food. Hotel is comfortable, clean and the service is as expected in the Hilton tradition.

Perfect hotel and location to experience Florence. Great view, clean room and helpful staff. The shuttle bus was very convenient to help explore the city. Front desk staff were able to assist us in planning our time in Florence which was a great help Would come back to this hotel and recommend it to others

The hotel is not close to downtown but it has free shuttle service from the station which is convenient enough. We were greeted warmly by the front desk staff and the check in was smooth. The view from the Executive Lounge is great! You can see 270 degrees of the town. We went there when the sun was setting. The breakfast selection was good. They are all pretty much the same in Italy. We caught the first shuttle to downtown since we joined a day tour to Siena and San Gimignano.

Beautiful room, good breakfast, lovely spa and gym, friendly staff. To have gym acces you have to pay if I remember well 10 euros. I liked the modern design of the room very much, especially the bathroom, there was some sort of window, from the dormitory you could see the bathroom, very interesting. It took about 10 min to get to the city centre with the bus.

Located out of the city with friendly staff and availability of a buss transfer to the city center. Breakfast is a disaster not worth it. Don't expect the buss driver to speak english :)) The bus transfer is very convenient if You travel by train. Rooms are small and bit old, but clean.

Stayed three nights on Hilton Honors points. Very nice, modern, property. The staff was very helpful and language barriers were not an issue. We had a corner room which was very nice. Enough room for just my wife and I. The only issue was the shower. I fell my first night, it was very slippery. We put towels down, including in the shower itself, the remainder of our stay. We made daily use of the executive lounge. It was wonderful. One of the best lounges I have seen at a hotel.

Florence is a city of full of expensive and low quality hotels , specifically in city center. I've been staying in the heart of city however never liked one since they were compromised with quality in one way or other. Hilton is away from heart of city and need to spend approximately euro 20 by car unless one want to use shuttle run by hotel. Let me write down positive side of hotel comparing other hotels with same price. Hotel rooms are much better than other hotel. Room quality is better a... Read more

I have stayed at the hotel many times. The staff and amenities keep me coming back. From the friendly staff in the Executive Lounge and Breakfast Dining Room to the Reception Desk and beyond, I was treated very well.

The staff at this hotel has to be the warmest I've ever encounted- from the hotel manager to the cleaning staff. Everyone here made an effort to ensure that our stay was wonderful. When we arrived after visiting Rome, we were upgraded to the executive floor. The executive lounge located on the rooftop was great- food, wine, beer, with 2 terraces was nice. What a great deal- great value too!!

By far, the outstanding attribute of this hotel is the front staff. Multiple times, they provided help and assistance that was above and beyond what I have previously experienced. Having said that, there are some important negatives, not the least of which is the distance from the city center. Yes, there is a shuttle about 8 times a day, and it takes 20 minutes to arrive at a bus stop at the back of the train station. Because of the infrequency of the departures and the site of the drop-off poin... Read more

Fantastic stay at this Hilton. Everything from check in to check out was great. The staff are so helpful. The room we were given was such a delight. Corner room and had a view of florence. The dry pasta in our room was such a nice welcome. (Still need to figure out how to cook it). Beds are super comfortable and bathrooms are huge. A small mini fridge was in our room as well. Free parking and wifi. They also offer a free shuttle service to the city and this was very helpful! It drops you of... Read more

Room was very nice. Everything was clean. Executive lounge was mediocre. Shuttle to and from the city was very prompt. But it was a pain not having a hotel in the middle of the old town. The spa and whirlpool in the basement did not work.

We were very disappointed in the bathroom shower being extremely dirty. There's black mold all around the shower/tub areas. It has had to been there for quite sometime given the extent of the mold. We checked out of HGV a day early to stay here to be closer to airport. Had I known the situation of the lack of cleanliness we would not have stayed here. Lastly, our room was extremely hot, and was very uncomfortable to the point of not being able to sleep. Very disappointed in our night he... Read more
