We visited this hotel as part of a Gate 1 Travel Venice/Florence/Rome trip. The location on the river was okay, but the hotel was quite far from most of the attractions we wanted to visit. The first room we were shown looked like a college dorm. We said we would pay for an upgrade and we were shown two higher tiers of rooms. The second was no improvement that I could see, and the second was barely an improvement. The cost was an extra 50 euros per night. There were three of us and we were ... Read more

This hotel has a pleasant outlook towards park and river but is a bit far from the interesting places which visitors want to see. It is a large hotel which hosts conferences and tour groups so breakfast, while the food is quite good, is busy and noisy. It also has an impersonal feel. Staff were not particularly helpful. We asked the desk where the restaurant was and received a vague wave in a general direction and told 'that way'. We still didn't find it on that occasion. When we did find the res... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a tour. The location is good with a nice park across from it but the rooms are so SMALL it was hard for 2 people with luggage to move around . The bathrooms are even smaller ! My biggest complaint about this hotel was the Bug Bites both my Husband and I woke up with, the first morning I didn't really think much about them but the second morning my arm had about 15 bites and my husbands had bites on his face , other members of our tour also had bi... From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean, and the crib (Pack n' Play) provided for our baby was also clean. The staff arrived and made the bed for our baby as if our baby was royalty. The room was quiet and although the hotel is not in the middle of the most charming parts of Florence, it was perfectly accessible to everything there is to see. There are plenty of less touristy and wonderful restaurants nearby.

Visited this hotel with my husband in Florence. The hotel has an amazing lobby along with grand dining area. But were quite disappointed with the room size. The room facing the main avanue was incredibly small. If you have two big bags, there is no place to walk. Managed the room stay for 1 night. Bathrooms were neat and clean. Basic amenities were provided. The room has am amazing view in the mornings. Location is great, right on the river and only a short walk to the center of beautiful Flore... Read more

Stayed here for a week in March 2016. Fortunately it was still relatively cool, because there was no AC. No, it was not broken, we were told that it was "not on" yet. Well OK then. Fortunately the window did open! The rest of our stay was perfect! The front desk staff was very helpful in calling a taxi and arranging a private car tour for us. The bar/lobby restaurant staff were polite and professional. The prices in the bar lobby are quite reasonable. The breakfast included with our tour ... Read more

Fine hotel right by the riverside. Green and beautiful all around. A bit outside the centre (15-20 minutes to train station). Nice lobby but often crowded; appears to be favourite among American tourists. Four problems. 1. Paper thin walls. You can hear all the activities, TV, even conversations next door. 2. Mosquito problem. Windows definitely need mosquito nets. 3. It seemed rather hard to get a welcoming smile from constantly annoyed reception staff. 4.The internet connection was incredibly... I was on a group tour and we had to stay here for 2 nights. Tiny bedroom and bathroom. Reminded me of a room on a cruise ship. The door is super thin, I can hear footsteps and the guy next door snoring. But it did provide plenty of choices during breakfast. Poor lighting, small tv, and not enough items in the mini fridge.

Easy walking distance to all the sites in downtown Florence. So the location is great. The room was small and so was the bathroom. Everything was clean and tidy, but it was a cramped stay. We were there for 2 nights and managed. Lobby is open, bright and inviting. Breakfast buffet was good along with lobby bar area. Staff was always helpful and polite.

The hotel was okay. No complaints, apart from the small inconvenience of being located in a separate wing from the main lobby - that resulted in a bit of a walk through some corridors and the old folks getting a bit confused. Looks well-used by tour groups (full disclosure: I was in one of them). Breakfast buffet was pretty nice - bacon, eggs, selection of breads, cheeses and hams, yoghurts, cereals, honeycomb (yes, a honeycomb was sitting there). It's located outside the city center but it's ... Read more

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night as we were visiting Florence with my in-laws. The main reception area is large and well decorated with a small bar and a restaurant. We drove to Florence from Treviso and the hotel provided underground parking. The room itself was nice with a small balcony looking out over a park, not so spacious but it's all we needed for 1 night. The hotel is located a shortish walk from the main piazza but we were also close to the tour bus stops so took advantage of that f... Read more

Lovely hotel and lovely location. Too bad the guy working the front desk on the nights of June 2 and 3 was rude as hell. He had no patience and had no interest in helping individuals get room keys. I know lots of Italian service workers don't like Americans and I get it, but they don't need to make it known to the PAYING customers. Note to self: don't lose a room key and definitely don't ask the front desk for another one.

We stayed as part of a great rail holiday as did many other companies given it location which for Florence was good as it was a bout 15 minutes walk form Basilica di Santa Croce which most walking tour of Florence start from but I am afraid that was its best point. Breakfast was nothing short of a cattle market with VERY watered down orange juice and often cold food and not a lot of gluten free options unless you like dried up cake. Good location, just overlooking the river Arno and close to Ponte Vecchio. Rooms a bit small but well-maintained. The Italian hotels all levy visitor room taxes per night of stay which is not mentioned while booking online. The buffet breakfast is very good. We had dinner a la carte too, which again was pretty good but limited options for vegetarians.

Hotel is located on the South East side of Florence. A little bit of a walk to get to the historic district but so far that you couldn't walk (about a mile). The hotel was clean, the breakfast was expansive with lots of choices and our room was fine. We did have a problem with a handbag being taken from my wife's suitcase. It did not fit in the safe and we did not have a lock for the suitcase, we'll assume some culpability. The handbag had a value of a few hundred dollars. The thought of ... Read more

This was our second hotel stop of our tour group. We had a system in place on how to check in and check out procedures. This was the first time to implement that procedure and I believe we got it down. The hotel was nice and has a spacious lobby but very tiny elevator. Better off using the stairs if your room is located at the lower floor and if you don't mind an extra exercise. The front desk staff was not as helpful as we would like. Good average hotel but not sure it really meets four star standard. For example only flimsy plastic cups provided in the room. It was a big hotel mainly filled with tourist bus groups coming and going. While there was a large variety of breakfast foods there were not enough tables available for all guests at peak times and the food was not replenished in a timely manner.

A big hotel pull of tourists lying on the outskirt of Florence. The location is not ideal - It takes you 20-30 minutes to walk into the town centre. The room has a decent size. But there were mosquitoes in the room! The air conditioning stops working if you put the card out, which means the room will be hot when you come back.

We, mature couple on a Trafalgar tour of Italy, stayed in this hotel for two nights. The room was spacious and clean. Staff in the bar was very accommodating when we had need to take out a meal to the room as one of us was not feeling well. The location is not bad, close to the river, pretty treed surroundings. It's a fair hike into town, but Florence is certainly worth seeing.

This hotel caters for big groups so do not go if you are on your own. Very busy and noisy. There were several different restaurants and you were allocated one for breakfast. Ours was so busy, staff could not cope with clearing tables and refilling food and drink areas. Mainly big tables so you had to find a couple of clean and laid up places and share with others. Our room was very modern and comfortable. The only negative was the shower was difficult to get into and out of (high sides). Breakfast was adequate with a good variety.
