This is a question not review. We are coming for five nights soon by train and wondered how much a taxi costs to get to the hotel. Also is it easy to get to Malsesine by boat to go up Monte Baldo and get back the same day? We will have three full days at Desenzano, so any oter suggestions welcome and what to see in that time around the Lake. Reasonable price restaurants for lunch or evening meal.

Having stayed in Hotels in most European countries (plus USA, Canada and Australia) I can happily rate Villa Rosa Hotel as right up there with the best! Spacious accommodation, superb bathroom, excellent breakfast, Bar and Restaurant, Lakeside position, short walk to the Ferry Port, and a Staff who are friendly, efficient, helpful in all circumstances, Villa Rosa gave us two stays - 5 luxurious BB -at the beginning and end of our fabulous holiday touring Lago di Garda. 3-night stays in Malces... This is our second visit to the hotel and it again a proved excellent. Breakfast is excellent with a very wide range of food. We ate in restaurant and that again was excellent, the wine we had requested wasn't available and we are sure the substitute provided at no extra cost was of much higher quality. Our room overlooking the side of the hotel with a sideways view of the sea had a spacious balcony. It was roomy, well furnished and very clean. Our only complaint would be that the bar service w... This hotel has got things right in every area of their business. The room was great at the side of the hotel with the balcony looking out to the lake on one side and the garden pool on the other. Staff were friendly and helpful and food at breakfast and in the evening was delicious. An excellent hotel well situated in a quiet end of town just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The station was about 30 minutes walk or easily reached by taxi. Luxury rapid trains run to Verona and Venice and se... Read more

It is a small romantic and intimate hotel, a very spacious room and bathroom and an amazing lake view from the balcony. The breakfast was very rich and tasty, especially the home made lemon pie for dessert. The hotel lends bicycles for trips in the city. I highly recommend!!!

Could not fault this hotel in any aspect. The location was perfect, service excellent, and the hotel itself in terms of quality and cleanliness was exactly as it appears on the website. We had a superior room which had a side view of the lake and views over the pool and garden which I would recommend. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, constantly being re-filled, and anything that we asked for was accommodated. It was also nice that you could eat until 10.45 which meant no hu... Holiday for one week in Desenzano, group of four. From the moment we arrived at this very clean, smart hotel, we got a great reception. Rooms were ready and we went straight to the rooms to find very nice, clean rooms. Our stay included half board, so we went to the bar for a drink and then into dinner. Not expecting too much we were given an amazing meal with plenty of choices and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. The quality of food and level of service was excellent for the week. The h... We stayed in Villa Rosa Lake Garda last week on vacation. It was excellent from the moment we arrived to our departure.A short journey from Verona air[port it overlooks the lake and is in a quiet location just minutes walk from the center of Desenzano. The staff were all helpful and pleasant, I was surprised more staff did not speak English but it was not a problem. This hotel was so much more than my wife and I were expecting. The staff were all so helpful , pleasant and obliging, nothing was too much trouble., Our superior room was excellent, extremely clean and comfortable, the view from the balcony of the lake and the pool area was great. The dining areas ( inside and on patio areas) were very roomy and the staff extremely professional and amiable, friendly but not in your face. The food was certainly the quality of a gourmet restaurant, I tried items that ... We recently stayed in the Villa Rosa Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located close (5 minutes walk) to the centre of Desenzano and on the edge of the lake with a great view of the lake. It is well decorated, clean and well maintained. The bed room was clean, well equipped and well serviced. The breakfast is a buffet with plenty of choice. We were half board so had dinner each evening. The food was excellent with good choices for each course. However the menu did not change an... Read more

We found this hotel to be excellent and well situated. It was clean and very stylishly decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was large and comfortable. We had a nice balcony over looking the gardens and swimming pool. The Rose and Sapori restaurant served gourmet food, we enjoyed their fish tasting menu but would find it too much to eat there for a whole week, which was just as well as they are fully booked most nights! We enjoyed cocktails in the bar! There is even an i... Read more

Stayed here end of June into July for 7 days. Have travelled extensively worldwide, however our first time in the Lake Garda area. We arrived quite late and were promptly shown to our room which was on the first floor and close to the area where preparations took place for breakfast/catering. We found it slightly noisy early next morning due to the location and after mentioning to reception staff we were offered another room without hesitation. Our stay was bed and breakfast only and we were ext... Read more

The hotel is alright, no water in the room, no tea and coffee making facilities. The main problem is the area, very similar to Blackpool and not very pleasant. The noise from the restaurant opposite was very annoying with the bass noise reverberating through the bedroom all evening. Wish I had researched Lake Garda more fully before booking as I certainly would not have come here, absolutely nothing to commend the area. It is a pity the hotel is here as the area certainly negates any benefit... Read more

Villa rosa hotel is away from the center of town (about 10-15 min walk) but right across the road from the lake (and a small stony beach area that gets very crowded in summer). The hotel is clean and comfortable, rooms are average size, we had a small balcony - but overlooking the public parking lot. If you are coming with a car, they do have an outdoor parking area adjacent to the hotel but it's not monitored and especially on weekends it seems a lot of locals who come to the beach park there -... Villa Rosa is a superb modern hotel, close to the centre of Desenzano Del Garda, but far enough away so that you do not get the town centre noise. We had superb lake view rooms that were spotless and well presented. Every member of staff were a credit to themselves and the company, but a special thanks to Debora, Jenny & Sergio who were very good at looking after our party of 8 people. We stayed here for a week of our honeymoon in June. The hotel is lovely and clean and just across the road from the Lake. We had a lake view room so our balcony looked right onto the Lake. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and helped to make our stay very enjoyable. Beautifully prepared and presented food - especially puds. Try the passion fruit creme brûlée - gorgeous, intensely flavoured. Best-cooked fresh tuna outside of Australia. Aspires to, but does not quite reach a Michelin star, in my opinion. Breakfast served as buffet, but on request will prepare omelette or poached eggs. Pool small but OK for basking alongside in sun. Nice attention to detail in rooms - bottle of decent local red wine on arrival. Probably not great for families with younger ch... Read more

Had an absolutely fabulous time in this hotel, everything about it was top drawer and the staff were amazing, we have never felt so welcome ! We had a sea view suite as we are a family of 3 and that was a great bonus. Everything about the place is luxury including the sun loungers. Pool is a little on the small side. Ate in the restaurant one night and it deserves all its awards - fabulous ! My only small gripe was the bed was too hard for me.

It is a very nice hotel with friendly staff, whatever we needed to fix, not a problem anything. Available near the center, nice pool, a wide selection of dishes, dinner very culinary, it wasdelicious. The only imperfection hotel is, that the rooms on the first floor (no 105,106,107) have views of the bush, not to garden, not to lake. Bushes interferes to balcony :(

Small, well presented hotel facing the lake, a pleasant 5-10 minute stroll to shops, restaurants & bars. We booked a superior room which was large, clean & well appointed. Our initial room had an adapted bathroom for people with disabilities, i.e. raised toilet & drop down seat in fairly small shower, neither of which was to our liking. We spent four nights at this hotel towards the end of July and enjoyed every moment. Great location with lovely views of Lake Garda. All the staff were pleasant and couldn't do more to make our holiday enjoyable. The breakfast always had a good choice of food and the Nespresso coffee was great We booked direct with hotel and chose the gourmet dinner package which was exceptional. Great food with wine and superb service from the staff. Would definitely return to this hotel.
