We have just arrived back in the UK having stayed in this hotel for a 4 night break. Yes, I agree with others that the hotel is out dated regarding furniture and fittings but it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our bedroom was massive with beautiful views over the harbour, the bathroom was also spotless and spacious. The only downside in respect of the bathroom was the old fashioned shower door which was difficult to close at times. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the ro... Read more

Was there for a week in the beginning of september and it was great. Great food at the restaurant, nice rooms and the view from the room was wonderful. The staff were incredible helpful and if we go back to Italy we'll probably go back to this hotel.

The Sunday Park Hotel is a great place to spend a Friday night or the weekend if you plan to take a cruise from Rome a.k.a. Civitavecchia, Italy port of call. Picturesque with a Mediterranean sea waterfront and a marina, it offers all of the amenities that you would expect during a romantic getaway.

We arrived at this hotel, not knowing what to expect. The well maintained gardens lead to a clean, bright, old fashioned hotel which was very Italian. Our room was spacious, the shower room accessible and full of lovely thick white towels. The view though was fabulous. Whoever designed this hotel placed rhe rooms in a slight curve facing the sea, panoramic views of a lovely harbour with small boats at anchor and in use. The food is simple and tasty. Breakfast was massive. Owing to its loc... Read more

Just returned from a two night stay. Pools closed, hotel under construction outside. Being paintied inside and out. Repairing ceiling water damage etc. Seems they are trying to update rooms. Humidity damage to room doors. Buffet breakfast very good, room was clean. Might be O.K. in future once repairs are done. Kids area splash pad not open and needed cleaning, main pool closed. May have been too early in the season however, it was late April and 75 F. Grass had not been cut until second day ... Read more

This is a nice little hotel located a short drive from the cruise port. The grounds are lovely and located right at the water's edge. Our room overlooked the water. My sister and I stayed there for one night pre-cruise. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was great. I had pasta with clams and it was so delicious I could have eaten another serving! (Well, not really, but it was that good!) There are 2 swimming pools available. A small one is part of the hotel property, and a much la... Read more

Needs renovation Nice view from the rooms as well as the restaurant Nice big pool next to the sea (with sea water) A lot of mosquitoes (ask for a device from the desk to remove them) Nice breakfast which includes also salty stuff (eggs, sausages etc) which is kind of not common in Italy (Italians normally eat only sweet stuff in the morning)

We needed to find a hotel for one night in Civitavecchia to get the ferry early the next day. This hotel is located in a stunning position right on the coast with beautiful views yet only 8-10 minutes from the port where the ferries leave from, and plenty of free parking. Staff were absolutely marvellous, at the reception, the restaurant and at the pool. With our room came 2 sun beds and an umbrella which was a nice surprise, as well as one of the best breakfast buffets I've seen at a 4 sta... Read more

We made the reservation by hotels.com and we were supposed to get the room with the sea view and balcony. In checkin we found that we only get the sea view. The guy in the reception was friendly but we didn't manage to change the room (after calling to the director). Nor did we get any discount of the room price, only discount (15%) of the hotel restaurant. The room itself was clean, spacious enough and equipped with air condition. The room was located just above the restaurant La Terrace, it wa... Read more

We arrived here for one night before our cruise. I have never experienced such poor customer service! No one around to ask questions... We had to walk into the main kitchen to ask for a table at dinner Bathroom light was broken (flashing like a strobe) was told they knew but couldn't be done until the following day, after we leave Staff weren't the friendliest and were not accommodating - asked for a salad at dinner (on the menu) was told I couldn't have one?????????? After 3 days in Rome, we were ready to come to this hotel with many more amenities than our last traditional hotel. I enjoyed the drive in the countryside and when we arrived, it was so pretty and on the coast. We walked in and the entire hotel is decorated in white with blue accents. Open shuttered windows with a beach breeze. We hung up a few items and then had lunch at the hotel restaurant. Delicious and a great presentation as well. We walked around and saw the colorful geraniums growing in ... Read more

The pictures look wonderful, but pictures can be deceiving. This is a very old hotel with an air conditioner that doesn't work to cool the room. Their suite was a 20' by 20' room with a queen size bed and two folding cots for my kids. The shower was so small I had to duck under the faucet to wash my hair and I'm only 6 feet tall. Restaurants only allowed you to eat there if you made a reservation in advance. The location was not in the best neighborhood. I'm glad this was a one night stay b... Read more

We chose this hotel for a relaxing couple of days before we joined our ship in Civitavecchia Port. We had a large clean family room at the top of the hotel with a wrap around balcony where where we could watch the ships sail into the sunset. There a 3 pools which can be used (they are also open to the public) but please be aware you have to wear a swimming hat (the lifeguard kindly lent us some). We prefered the one nearest the hotel as it was fresh water - the others were salt. Pizzaria h... Read more

So disappointed when we arrived at this hotel its dated and dirty we stayed 4 days before the cruise its out of town and you can not get a taxi for love or money so you are stuck the rooms are very dated and the balcony was very dirty there were cigar and cigarette ends all down the back stairs and when we returned after the cruise 11 days later they were still there. In fairness the staff were lovely but not enough of them its very basic no frills for a 4 star hotel there are 2 resteraunts one... Read more

We stayed one night at the Sunbay Park Hotel prior to boarding a cruise. Loved the outlook over the marina, didn't want to be in the town centre. On check in given a key and no further information. No information provided in the room either. If you want internet you have to go back to Reception for the code (on a tiny piece of paper 1cm x 2cm). Reception staff are constantly on the phone. There are two pools, but we still haven't got to the bottom of whether hotel guests can use them! The larger... Read more

We booked the Sunbay for one night pre cruise in September 2016. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing spot after four busy days sightseeing in London. The staff were very helpful at check in, and we absolutely loved the fact that our room had a balcony facing the Mediterranean Sea. We had a lovely Italian dinner on the patio of the on site restaurant overlooking the water. The food and wine were excellent for a very reasonable price. I would definitely stay longer next time for rest and rela... Read more
