We had 2 nights here in a refurbished room (330) with a balcony. The hotel is in a little side street near the courthouse and an easy and very pleasant stroll into town through streets lined with various lovely looking cafes and posh shops. Our room was clean and fresh and nicely kitted out with big towels, kettle, toiletries etc. The bed was on the firm side but very comfortable. Breakfast was fine, plenty of choice and you just help yourself to everything including coffee hot milk etc, which... Read more

This is a great hotel for spending a relaxed long weekend wandering around beautiful Bologna. Only 15 minutes stroll from the centre of town and the old market area, it offers a great standard of accommodation. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom and a small balcony. Communal areas like the roof terrace and courtyard are useful and well furnished. The only thing that would kick the hotel up a notch is a sprinkling of that "five star" type service ethic. I was hovering between excellent and very good but I definitely felt it was nearly there but not quite. We have just returned from a 4 night stay, staying in the Diamond Suite which tries very hard to be 5 star accommodation and I paid as much for this room as I did for the 5 star Sheriton Salzburg Executive Room (which was comparable to this room) so I feel its fair to compare as the price is the same. Just a couple of things could elevate this suite experience such as real coffee or a better... Read more

First I'll start with the hotel. Lovely family run hotel in a great location to explore the city of Bologna. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the room was also of a high quality. The roof top terrace is also stunning, with a bar and views over the city. Perfect place to relax with a drink. The only issue I had was upon arrival. Recently stayed here for three nights while exploring Bologna for the first time. Overall I found this to be a decent enough hotel, conveniently located, modern and clean, but not necessarily exceptional in a noteworthy way. On the plus side: The hotel is a very, very short walk into the heart of the historic center of the city. The location worked perfectly for our having three days to hit the major attractions and museums we wanted to visit all within easy walking distance. Two times that we ... Read more

Hotel Touring was fabulous. We had a very attractive standard double room with large modern bathroom. The hotel receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful. There were a number of cafes close to the hotel and it was an easy walk into the centre of town. The breakfast was impressive and the view from the rooftop terrace was lovely.

Great base for exploring Bologna and further afield. The hotel is located in a small street in a well kept part of town. Rooms are charming, comfortable and clean and the bathroom is surprisingly spacious, especially for a three star hotel. The corridors are small and I had to climb two stairs with suitcase and all, so not a good place for claustrophobic people. I asked the next day, and was told the elevator works, so not sure why I was told to take the stairs. The real attraction of the hote... Read more

We asked for, and were given, a very quiet room with views over the rooftops to the hills - though in fact the hotel is in a quiet quarter anyway so nocturnal noise is not likely to be a problem. yes this hotel is in a great location. It is positioned close enough to the action of downtown Bologna, but on a quiet side street. In true European fashion it is a bit outdated and the rooms are small, so if you happen to have a noisy neighbor you won't get much sleep. Great quiet position just 5 mins stroll from the centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Well appointed and clean rooms... but, whoever chose the mattresses should have been made to sleep on one. I think we ended up with more aches and pains sleeping on that hard mattress than climbing the Asignelli tower!
