Very good standard hotel, helpful staff, great breakfast, close to the Exhibition Centre (Bologna Fiera). The Hotel is located outside town so you need either a car or a taxi to reach it. Not very convenient if you are just visiting the city.

Decent hotel. Pros and cons. Perfect location to visit the Boligna convention center for business as it is within walking distance. Room is small which is normal in Europe. But clean and comfortable and nicely furnished. Wifi is annoying as it kicks you off after ten minutes of non use so you have to keep signing in again and again and again. Very annoying!! No English speaking /American movies or tv shows AT ALL just CNN. So bring your laptop, iPad etc otherwise you might go insane if you... Read more

I booked the hotel because is was a bit more expensive than other hotels close to the Bologna fair; I just wanted a good hotel for the few days I was there. And it wasn't; stains in the carpet, a leaking shower, holes in the wall and a safe that didn't work. The staff is friendly anda nice breakfast but that is not enough to meet my expectations.

Decent hotel and service. My room rate came with breakfast and the food was pretty good, especially the croissants. No complaints about the room itself. The location is pretty remote unless you have a car or are attending an event at Bologna Fiere. The train station is a 35-minute walk away, and the city center is about 45 minutes or a 15 euro cab ride. Nearby dining options are limited, the nearest good restaurant is Piccola Trattoria which a 15-minute walk down the shoulder of a busy road.

The hotel is located just outside the main city centre ; a great jump off point for all the cultural and otherwise activities you might have planned in the city centre. The hotel is around 10 minutes cab to the city centre ; set just inside the main ring road. The cost of a cab is around 10 Euros one way. The hotel itself has fantastic service ; nothing was too much trouble ; the restaurant food was very good and the bar a delight for weary travellers. A great bonus for this hotel is the swimmin... I stayed at this Novotel hotel during a recent business trip. Like most Novotel hotels, this one is clean, affordable and good for a good sleep. The room is comfortable and well maintained. The staff was friendly and overall a great value. So why not a 5 rating? The Internet connection was jumpy and there was only one restaurant nearby. The restaurant did not open until 7 which is too bad if you want to get something to eat before then. All in all this is a good hotel for a business tr... Read more

This place is by far the worst located hotel in the history of history! There is absolutely nothing useful around except for the Fiera trade fare, if you happen to be doing business there and only there. Down town is a ?12-15 taxi trip each way and the nearest bus stop is almost if not more than a kilometer away (see pic) through a dodgy area where a certain unwholesome kind of business dealings take place out of dingy caravans! Even the shopping area that is "near" (decathlon and co) is ano... Read more

As always, excellent service and very good rooms. Room spacious and comfortable. Bathroom clean and new looking . Although near a highway there is no noise. The only negative thing is that you need a car as the hotel is located far from the centre of bologna

We spent a night at Bologna Fiera Novotel during our car trip. Everything went smoothly, room was clean, breakfast tasty and pool was great. The only problem was with the restaurant, which is overpriced and there is nothing else in walking distance, but we solved this by ordering pizza.

Visited Novotel Bologna Fiera with my family in August 2016. Hotel is pretty new and in very good condition. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and everything worked very well. Hotel is located outside city center, but theres shops malls and restaurants pretty close. Hotel offers free parking places for guests and the complimentary wifi was great. I really liked my stay in Novotel Bologna Fiera.

Located in the newer part of the old city of Bologna this hotel is comfortable and very well presented. Whilst the surroundings may be somewhat pedestrian compared to centre city hotels the hotel makes up for its outer urban setting by being modern, comfortable and inviting to the traveller. Staff here were great and their bar and food facilities of the highest standard. We watched the Euro 2016 soccer final in their bar area whilst tucking into a relatively cheap buffet. Great night and wonde... Read more

Stayed here for one night at the end of our vacation in Italy. Good atmosphere in the reception. Smiling and informal service, as italians can be at their best. Much better and far more friendly than the Relais Bellaria, which we moved out from after a short one horrible day stay. Very delicate pool, clean and airy room, big bathroom with both shower and bath tub. Breakfast was OK, bur close to early, 9.30, and the personal started to clean and close to early making the breakfast less cosy tha... Read more

Very nice hotel with a pool, very clean, plenty of parking and staff were friendly helpful. It is based just off the motorway so convenient but the area it's in leaves a lot to be desired. A short drive into the centre and I'm not sure we'd have found our way back without the GPS.

Stopped over here on our way to Venice from Umbria. Nice hotel, friendly service, big rooms and very quiet. Nice pool area and bar. Didn't try restaurant as only 10 mins drive into Bologna a which is definitely worth a visit! Lovely atmosphere in Bologna at night and loads of restaurants to choose from.

Good stay with the family, 15 minutes far from the airport. Good dinner, Good breakfast. Parking free. It's not so much spacy for 2 adults + 2 children but it' ok. I don't know if there is a free transfer to the AirPort.

We booked this hotel so we had easy access to the nearby conference centre only to find the safest way to get there is via taxi. You can walk however you have to walk along a dual carriage way with only a narrow hard shoulder. Taxis are reasonably priced - about ?12-15 into the centre of town and about ?9 to the conference centre. The pool is lovely, breakfast fairly good, rooms a little tired however very clean. The best bit is Bologna itself - amazing city!

Location: Very near to airport, not so much from city center Feedback: Coming from India which has a tremendous hospitality industry, maybe most hotels in Europe will not meet my expectations. However when a place is called 4-star I expected some level of good service and slightly better amenities. Room had small plumbing problems which were fixed after complaint, the mini bar menu prices were missing till my last day of stay, there was a tea coffee maker without spoon so I cant stir if i put ... Very convenient near the circumference road. Staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Alice who gave us excellent recommendations for our visit to Bologna. She provided a great restaurant recommendation (Zerocinquentella, outstanding) for lunch the next day. Restaurant at hotel gave us a nice evening meal with outstanding, friendly service. The owner was actually there at the time and he was very friendly, including treating us to a bit of grappa.

When flying to Bologna, this is a good place to stay a couple of nights, use it as a base to visit the old city centre of Bologna, and then move on to a next city to visit. Kind staff, good breakfast, and nice rooms. We were with a family of four and had a pleasant stay.

We stopped over for a night after landing at the airport late evening. Booked for a family suite of 4. The bed was big, clean and comfy. The sofa bed was made but was not pulled out upon arrival so we pulled the sofa bed out for our children. There was a coffee machine in-room which was very nice. The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was good. The free parking in front of the hotel is always full from the locals but there are plenty at the rare premise which charge ?15 a day but s... Read more
