Just back from 3 night stay with my wife and two grown up children. On arrival check in staff were polite and competent we managed to gain access to one of our rooms even though it was only 11.30am. I found the rooms a bit dated and tired with the bathroom in our room particularly in need of refurbishment (see photos) two adults in each room no bathrobes and one pair of slippers in one room and o e bathrobe and no slippers in the other was slightly confusing. I found the reception staff a bit ... Read more

We have just returned from Bologna and spent three nights in this hotel. On arrival very professional and smooth check in. We were given a room to the front and initially we were concerned about noise, as mentioned by others you are opposite the train station. No need to worry; the sound proofing was excellent considering how busy the square outside could get. As mentioned by others this hotel has a good location opposite the main train station also the airport bus terminates here. Airport bus ... Read more

I think a 5 stars for Italy. not for me. I am always disspointed, each time. This hotel is missing somthing like... thinking about clients. It is not bad but needs some service improvements. Like at check in the receptionist tells you : in room diner until 10pm. But when you call at 9:47 they tell you: it is closed 15 minutes before 10! Then you have to argue to get food (I mean hot food not snacks).

To start with, if you arrive and leave Bologna by train like us, the location could not be better. When we checked in for two nights, it turned out that through some mistake my husband had only booked and prepaid a single room, but although the breakfast was included in the price, they accepted me too without any surcharge. Our room was generous in size - particularly for it having been booked as a single - well furnished and opened to the courtyard, which was so quiet that we could sleep with t... Read more

My husband and I spent one night here as part of a two-week trip to Italy along with a small group of alumni travelers from my alma mater. The rooms were booked for us, so I can't comment on the price. Hotel was modern and our room was large and very American-like in feel. Bathroom was also large. Staying here, I got the sense/feeling that this is a business hotel. Our room (505) was nice but I think it's time to replace the carpet. It was stained in several places and kind of grossed me o... Staff very accommodating and professional! Offering free wifi for four devices! wifi was consistent throughout. Convenient location, right in front of the train station and bus stops. It does take 20 min to walk to museums and old town, but the porticos make most walks well shaded.

This hotel is really well situated directly opposite the train station. When we visited it was about 6 euros each on the train and 18 in a taxi. It is a clean and modern hotel with a big reception area. When we checked in the children got baseball caps and maps of Bologna with interesting places marked. Kids can also get free snacks like bread and Nutella from room service. A lovely stroll into Bologna and loads of things to see with covered walkways to protect from hot or wet weather. Amazing... A nice hotel, which is modern and affordable. Situated opposite to the train station, and 20 minutes driving from the airport. The Main Street shopping street begins 200m or so from the hotel, and 15 min walking takes you to the heart of the city center - piazza maggiore. Free wifi. Minus: No socket to charge your phone by the bed. Should be mandatory these days.

We stayed in room no. 716 four nights. The first day there was a trouble with an air conditioner and mini bar but the next day everything was fixed. The ROOM is not so big but also not small. There‚??re a small table with two chairs, a desk with a chair and a place for a suitcase; enough space for two to relax. Thanks to the big window that can be open and good lighting the room as well as the bathroom were very bright. There‚??re a kettle with complimentary coffee. The room was very clean and k... This is an excellent hotel in the centre of Bologna. It has easy access to the station on foot three minutes. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our deluxe room was very good indeed. Large comfortable bed, very well equipped bathroom and air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent - one of the best breakfasts Ive had in a four star hotel for a long time. Variety, fresh or cooked food and plenty of good coffee. This Hotel was the best value for money that we had in Tuscany, better than a ... Read more

This hotel is lovely, the entrance is grand and the staff were welcoming. Our room was a family room and it was very spacious. The bathroom was big and there was always a plentiful supply of toiletries. It's conveniently opposite Bologna train station and it's possible to walk into Bologna city center. If you are travelling with kids there is a lot of sightseeing and shopping to do in Bologna but there is also a great acqua park (recommended by the reception staff) 15 minutes away by train. ... This is about the best value in hotels I've seen for under $100 a night in high season. I used Bologna as a base for exploring the region, so the location directly across from the station was unbeatable. The room itself was furnished to a high standard comparable to a decent Marriott, though two annoyances: (1) slow internet that only connects two devices (seriously, this is unacceptable in 2016) and (2) no power outlets anywhere near the bed. Breakfast was better than expected in this price ... Read more

The foyer and reception are very modern but my room wasn't quite as new feeling as I thought it would be. However it was very spacious, good aircon with a comfortable bed. The wifi was also good Breakfast was varied and there was a small section to sit outside. It is situated right next to the station and it is about a 10 minute walk in to the central square.

This nice hotel is right in front of the train station which is really convenient if like us you are coming and leaving Bologna by train. We had one of the older rooms and it was still a very nice room. We received very good service from the reception and I would go back without hesitation.

The hotel is fine but it is absurd that you can't get an iron or ironing board. Yes there is a paid ironing service but it doesn't open until 8/9 and I was leaving early in the morning. Also the internet signal was terrible. The room was spacious and clean. It is also in a central location. Also the staff are very friendly. Which makes it confusing that the hotel can't invest a few hundred euros to get some irons!

My fianc√© and I stayed here one night on our way to Cinque Terre. Nice room, across the street from the train station and walking distance to some great restaurants (the hotel recommended Donatello's and it was VERY good). The hotel has free wifi which is worse than dial up or you can pay ‚?¨8 for the 'high speed' internet but that hardly worked either. It was like using the Internet from 10 years ago, which was tough when trying to plan our trip (train schedules etc.).

I am here for business trip and stayed here for 6 nights. Nice service from the hotel staff. Breakfast is decent. Hotel parking is limited and expensive. Great location just opposite of Bologna Central train station. Can be a bit noisy from the busy traffic from the main road. 10min Walking distance to Piazza Magiore and shopping. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.

Situated just across the road from the main Central Train Station, and close(just yards) to the drop-off point for the Aerobus from the airport(about 7 euros each), this is a well situated hotel. Clean, modern, very pleasant welcome from the reception staff, comfortable, well appointed room, good in-room facilities. Breakfast was included in our deal, which was a cut above the normal continental breakfast. All in all, avert good stay. The walk up to the Piazza Maggiore is about 10-15 minutes, id... Read more

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for four nights for business. I found the staff extremely pleasant and very easy to deal with. They spoke English well and even gave me advise on places to eat while in the area. The room was very clean and met all of my needs. The rest of this review will be from an American view. The room was great. I was clean and had everything I needed. Shampoo, soap and body wash were provided as well as a blow dryer in the room. Towels were the same Standard as ... Read more

Just across the main railway station of Bologna, the aerobus from the airport stops in front of the hotel, lots of buses have their stop also, very quiet with closed windows, due to double glazing, the rooms are large, with very comfortable beds, good air on/heating, very clean, large bathroom with lots of storage place, very knowledgeable and helpfull staff at reception, good breakfast, strong on the sweet side. Room silent and confy at night, staff very friendly and helpful; I cannot say anything of the breakfast in site but we could make a small sample be packed up for carrying because of our early check out. Just in front Bologna Centrale makes a very convinient position for short stays for travellers around Italy.

Looked into quite a few hotels in Bologna but so glad went for this one. Right opposite the train station so perfect for a base to explore Italy by train, but not particularly busy in any negative way. Prob about 15/20 min walk to main area of Bologna but lovely walk to explore. Rooms large and clean and front desk all very helpful. Recommended

Very poor experience with the Sunday night manager, ruined an otherwise excellent trip to Bologna. Rude and unaccommodating. Unexpected costs combined with a combative and explicit desk manager make for a miserable experience. Avoid the over-priced restaurant for nearby choices like Trattoria di via Serra (make a reservation though). And for alternative options convenient to the train station, just head right next-door for UNA Hotel or Mercure as better options with far more accommodating servic... Read more

My wife and I had a city break in Bologna and stayed in this hotel. It's located very close to the railway station and to the old city center. The lobby and reception area are very nice, but our room showed some signs of wear and tear (see pics). Hotel staff was very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was diverse and nice. If we come to Bologna again we would stay in this hotel.

The location was great for our party of 6 as one day we visited Venice via train. Rooms were comfortable but the electrics were poor with only one plug socket working as they had adapters in, not ideal. Breakfast had a poor selection for the cost of the room I expected more, the worst part was on the last morning I went to shell my hard boiled egg only to put my finger through it as if wasn't fully cooked, who can't boil an egg??

Does it get average or very good? It sits in between. The room we had was massive and comfortable and quiet, 6th floor, upgraded go executive room, which is worth the money. Breakfast was good, but the ham was cheap and coffee wasn't the best. The parking at 25 euros a day, Venice is cheaper at 16 euros, so it is expensive. It's the area that's poor, not the hotels fault, but with all the hawkers, drunks and people traffickers it's not the safest area at night. What is the hotels fault .. People... Read more

Central, well-connected, convenient location. Good rooms, good facilities, Reception staff is helpful and friendly. This is the reason I chose the hotel more than once when visiting Bologna. The restaurant is OK but not excellent for Bologna "la grassa" in my opinion!... Food is elaborate and one has to choose wisely. We had some creamy sauce tortellini which did not agree with us. Perhaps it was just coincidental but was the pasta or the cream fresh? One wonders......
