We have visited Israel once or twice a year for the last 15 years or so. In that time when not staying with family have stayed at the Dan on many occasions. First the "downside" - the hotel is not new, it has lots of "weird" or "apparently dead/poorly utilized "spaces and some would find this unsatisfactory. The rooms are somewhat tired Now the "upside" 1 the location opposite Frishman Beach- it is the best of any of the hotels. Everywhere you probably want to be in Tel Aviv is a short walk or sh... Read more

I stayed here for a business trip and I can't say I would come back. The hotel is incredibly dark, with no noticeable natural light. To add to this, all of the furniture and carpet is dark and it feels very old. My room was not not one of the refurbished ones and at $300 per night, it is simply second rate. The bathroom was by far the best part of the room, although that wasn't particularly hard. The upside of the Dan is that you are on the beach and close to the port and other restaurants.

I stayed here with two of my children and we had the sea view room. Having read other reviews I was concerned it would be dark and out of date but the room itself and its fittings were great - modern, practical and comfortable. The mattress was too hard but that's a personal choice. The best thing about the room is the amazing view straight onto the beach - we spent hours just looking out the window. The rest of the hotel was good, not great. The service is odd - sometimes great, sometimes ... Read more

Imagine, going to the same Hotel for over 40 years! The executive rooms are superb, and that's where I stay now, but I stayed in every room I could afford over the years. They were all good and the stuff makes it so easy for you to just fall in love with this Hotel. This year I went to a wedding to Tel Aviv, and as usual I stayed in an Executive Room facing the sea. So were my daughter and her boyfriend. We had accesses to the King David lounge, and we could see all of our relatives that were vi... Read more

There is something to be said about Israelis hospitality: They know how to properly host people! Dan Hotel will make any humble servant like myself feel as an important dignitaries for the duration of their stay! The rooms were perfect and comfortable. I was lucky enough to have a nice view on the beach. The breakfast was impressive and delicious. The service was perfect. A bit costly but totally worth it.

The hotel appears very impressive upon entering. The staff are friendly and professional. Unfortunately my room was very small and cheaply decorated. The carpet is so old and stained I do not want to remove my shoes. I am looking out at the central heating/air conditioning - a real shame since we chose a beach hotel. I have stayed at all of the big hotels along this strip and this is by far the worst experience I have had.

as those of you that have read i am not a big fan of grand, fancy smancy hotels. just read my reviews of the hiltons in tel aviv and barcelona to understand that. when my dad said he was staying at the dan i expected the same. it was not. 1st and foremost let me compliment the quality and professionalism of the staff. 1st and foremost the dining room manager was incredible. he provided personal service to everyone and was personable and friendly to the right degree. the breakfast was very good ... My son and I stayed in the Dan on two separate occasions in June. During our first stay we were upgraded to the executive suite but we had two concerns with this suite. One was lack of separate beds which had been requested on the reservation and the other was the bathroom with the frosted glass door which did not provide much privacy. The bed situation was quickly resolved with a very comfortable second bed. When we returned for a second visit we were again upgraded, this time to the royal suit... Read more

I spent 4 nights at the Dan in Tel Aviv. The breakfast and the afternoon lounge were both welcome to a long day of travel I had a request to have something picked up at the U.S. Embassy. Tamar, a young woman in customer relations not only helped out but volunteered to go to the Embassy herself and pick up my package. Tamar acted not only because I was guest bt she was very sincere about her willingness to do this as nothing more that a favor. She never had her hand out or looked for any type ... Read more

While the hotel is expensive, it is worth the price. You are treated very special. This was my second stay at the Dan Tel Aviv. Once again it was great. The food in the dining room was amazing as was the food I ate at the bar (as was the service at both). Room was very comfortable with a breathtaking view of the ocean and beach. Jeremy Dary, of the Dan TA guest services relations, goes above and beyond with any requests. I would definitely stay there again.

The Dan overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The location was excellent. The rooms were clean and adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were traveling with a group of 28 people and arrived on Saturday which was unfortunate due the the religious holiday the rooms were not ready until late in the evening. Plan to arrive on any day but Saturday if you will arriving before 6PM.

The Dan Tel Aviv is an amazing hotel in what is for us the best location in Tel Aviv, right on the Mediterranean, within walking distance of all the important attractions of the city. The staff is remarkably attentive and helpful. We had a room overlooking the sea, a delightful view at all times of the day and night. We also had privileges at the club which is a bonus for snacks and even a light lunch or dinner. We have stayed here many times, and look forward to coming back next year.

The hotel is very modern and is located across the street from the Mediterranean Sea. Plenty of taxis to take you around. The rooms were large and the bathroom was nice. The breakfast and dinner buffets had plenty of variety. There is a pool with a all day snack bar for your convenience.

My sister and I took a break and stayed at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Everyone greets you and you are offered fresh squeezed juice as you check in. The hotel is beautiful. The room we had was an ocean view and was magnificent. It was spacious and comfortable with robes, slippers, towels, incidentals all waiting, including apples and chocolate. We had their Israeli Breakfast. WOW. over 100 dishes and specialties. My sister and I spent a night at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv. It was fantastic in every way. The room was large, immaculate and extremely comfortable. The bathroom had both a large stall shower and a bathtub. They gave us so many towels of every size, including a big, long bathrobe. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was so much variety. It was very easy to navigate the hotel and it was great that the pools,... Here is a hotel on the beach in themiddle of the city. Great location. 2 pools indoor and outdoor. Spa, etc. The staff cannot do enough for you. The front desk and guest relations and concierge and the security doorman .... All give it their best. They speak your language. German or French or English or Japanese. Housekeeping is always done right. The breakfast buffet is too much to eat. Grab something for later in the day. Walk over to the beach and take a dunk. Walk the beach promenade. Get... Read more

I come to tel aviv once and year with a couple of girlfriends, and this year we decided to stay at the dan tel aviv. It was beyond our expectations. The rooms were so clean, the food WAs amazing, the pool area was great (they need more waiters up there), however what made the trip so great was the extremely friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back next year!!!!! Moshe and Jeremy in particular thank you for always being so friendly.

My wife and i were treated royally by staff. We had not had the chance to stay at the Dan TLV for about two years and were welcomed back cordially. The sea view rooms are great, and so is breakfast. We felt at ease in the spacious lounge. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to visit the spa or swimming pool this time. This is the place to be when your travels take you to Tel Aviv!

Visited on may 2016 Our stay was average Some negative points- -they have days that you cant order room service to the pool and can only buy food from the pool restaurant which only have hot dogs, sandwiches and salads - we aske towels and ice and it took a day to bring it - the access to the beach was close most of the days -service at breakfast and dinner was not good - the most rude things happaned was that they "forgot" to charge us with 540 INS and they remember to charge us only on july...... My family and I stayed at the Dan Tel Aviv for close to a week and it was fantastic. The rooms are nice and their studio room was good enough for us and our two young kids (4yr old and 1 yr old). The only criticism I have is that the room could have had more storage and better located outlets, but we made due. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Their breakfast was AMAZING. We were "upgraded" to this hotel due to overbooking at our scheduled hotel. Room was tiny and not what we booked. We requested to be moved to a double room and were refused until we discovered mold in the room, even then the service we encountered was poor, we moved our own baggage. Surly desk personnel. My sister also stayed here and encountered the same type of service although she had no issues with her room.

My experience at the Dan Tel Aviv really proved the property to be one worth returning to. Our Executive Sea View room offered some of the most stunning views of the beach and ocean, especially at sunset. The room was well appointed, spacious, and modern. Service was prompt from any room service request, breakfast orders to any requests at the front desk. Staff was attentive, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Breakfast was served happily by the staff and was well stocked with great b... Read more
