I have spent 3 nights there with my grilfriend, very good location, very good breakfast, nice and helpful stuff. Hotel is in center so sometimes you can hear noises from street, during night as well. We were during winter the rooms were warm :)

I had an overnight weekend stay at the Palatin and now understand the large range of views in Tripadvisor ratings of the hotel. The good can basically be summarized in two points - the location and the staff. The location is brilliant - right in the thick of the action of downtown J'lem. However, and I was not affected by this, there is a massive building project just across the way that I'm sure generates plenty of noise when at work. The staff is also very friendly and courteous - each and eve... Read more

Great locstion. Nice breakfast buffet. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Getashi was very helpful in the evening. Shlomo went far beyond being helpful and very friendly.. The surrounding area is loud but that's to be ezpected at a downtiown location. The only issue would be there is no elevator. Luckily we were on the second floor. I mention this because it might be difficult for anyone who woild have trouble carrying luggage up stairs.

I'm very surprised by the 4 star reviews here... the room we stayed in was absolutely unclean and dirty, with no sheets on the blankets and mold type stains on the walls and floors. I am a young traveler and am usually fine with whatever room, as long as there's a clean bed and pillow. I've stayed in plenty of hostels. But this room felt pretty terrible, and simply did not enjoy the stay, especially when it cost something like 80 dollars a night. Perhaps we got a lemon, but just be aware when bo... Read more

The staff was quite nice, they smiled and helped when they could. The location is great and walking distance to the old city. But the comments here are misleading, the hotel is extremely dirty and unkept. The sheets had spots on them and even hair, we had to ask for a sheet because the blanket didn't have one. It's not a decent room like the reviews say and not worth the price they are charging. Think twice before booking

I loved every Monet of being at Hotel Palatin. I was welcomed by Shlomo, who was very warm and loving and from that moment, I felt right at home. Shlomo is absolutely wonderful, and made my stay at Hotel Palatin wonderful. Very friendly and helpful- I knew my way around Jerusalem in a few minutes!??? Yuri at front desk was also wonderful - and so were the two cooks and cleaners (I forget their names). They were all absolutely amazing and I would stay there again and again when I'm in Jerusalem!... Read more

Booked in for our trip to Jerusaleum December 23 to 30. On arrival in early hours tired from travelling we were asked to pay up front for entire stay which we did. Given key to room on 2nd floor. No lift. We opened door to the stale smell of cigars which was wafting around the room. To our dismay a filthy carpet was the first thing we noticed. The paint flaking off walls in the small bedroom. The shower was in the toilet or toilet in shower room either way it was a small room with toilet and sho... Read more

perfect quite corner in the tourist part of jerusalem. Did two stays here in quick succession. The breakfast needed some change from day to day, but otherwise fantastic. The young college kid who managed the reception was very helpful. Very conviniently located to the tram stops and not too far from old city by tram.

I've been staying at the Palatin for the last fifteen years when in Jerusalem...for me it's like coming home...it's small, well kept, friendly & the location can't be beat...whether you have business or are visiting all the sites of Jerusalem, the location puts you right there...walking distance to most of the city including the Old City (have walked it many times)...plenty of restaurants, taverns, bakeries, street food places all within walking distance, as well as sundry stores & pharmacies......
