Very nice room with a view of the Old City and the Windmill. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was large and clean. The bathroom was well appointed with amenities, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Front desk staff was welcoming and polite. If you are not staying at a 5 star or luxury hotel, this is one of the better choices in this part of town

We spent 4 nights here while touring Jerusalem and, for the price, it was just fine. The room was adequate and clean, and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was pretty much what you get at every mid-level hotel in Israel. The location was good for us, but only because we like to walk. It's about 15 minutes or so to the old city, and 15 - 20 minutes to the Machane Yehuda Market area (which must not be missed).

The location of this hotel is excellent as was the dining & choice of food. However there were no bar fridges & apparently no quality control in servicing the rooms. We were 17 adults & 12 young children celebrating our Passover & were given a separate room & Waiter. The food was great & the waiter excellent. The choice of food @ all meals was excellent. There were no porters & no help with baggage, in some rooms there no towels no mlk to use in tea or coffee.Whilst recognizing the arab mini -i... Read more

Stayed 5 nights. Good size rooms. Beds showing the age. Plumbing need care. Loby is nice and big. Piano guy is good. Bar timing is whenever. Food looked good on day one, then you realize the same is recycled till over (at least gives that impression ). Location is very good and price is fair

I stayed in this hotel as part of a group. There were quite a few of us in twin rooms. The rooms all seemed to be slightly different. If you can get a corner room they seemed more spacious. The rooms are fine - not luxurious by any stretch but okay. The hotel is well located - about 15-20 minutes walk into town and 30 mins into the old city. But there are taxis everywhere & they're not expensive. The breakfast room was manic when I was there. You could barely find a seat. Perhaps this was becaus... Read more

Our first time in Jerusalem. The hotel is old but in good condition. We were traveling with kids so we got one room with 3 double beds which worked out great. The size was pretty good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast Buffett was great too. I would stay here again

The best thing about this hotel is that it is within walking distance to the Old City. You are located in the western, quieter part of the city. There are restaurants below or you can just go for a 10 minute walk to the western city center for more options.

Enjoyed a lovely holiday weekend with my husband. Room was very nice; water pressure in shower was great! Food was excellent and plentiful! They've really improved! We were there with a group and everything went smoothly.

It was nice. Not much more. Room was large and accommodating, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was so so. It was a Saturday so 2 out of 3 elevators were in shabbat mode - meaning they stop on each and every floor... Jerusalem itself is great, but when I return I'd pick a different hotel. Too expensive for what we got.

The place was good. I think it was overlooking the sea of Galilee. The room and bathroom given to us was nice. The selection of food available there was very tasty. We were even happy about the TV channels available, as it internationally available to us. The place was very comfortable for all of us.

The room was big, clean and air conditioned. The breakfast was average and the rooms outdated but overall a good hotel. The location was good, only a 20 minute walk from the Kotel, shuk and nice restaurants.

Windows are very small. Seriously has not been updated for decades. Food was not satisfactory at the breakfast included. Lunch trays and printed paper liners, too. carpet is out dated. Seriously this hotel is locked in time, The Location is GREAT. Make sure you get a really great rate before booking. Not at all sure, what different types of rooms they have, as the hotel is round in shape, making room differences almost impossible.

So, in fact, the location is really the best that can be said about this somewhat tired hotel. We were with a large group and while we only had a few concerns, others had more, one couple had their drapes fall off the wall, one couple had the shower head fall off the wall. Several had less than spectacular success dealing with the front desk. Our two experiences (also experienced by others) were that the wall mounted AC control did absolutely nothing other than turn it on and off. While there ... Read more

Well, this is an old hotel. I'm sure frequented for many years by MANY groups and it shows! While the lobby is ok, ancient but grand I'm sure years ago, the rooms are pretty bad,, Pillows are horrendous. mattress is fine, sheets & towels thread bare. The carpet is likely from the 70's maybe even 60;s. the bathroom was clean but beyond ancient. I suppose they don't have to fix up this place so they dont but its truly LONG overdue and not fair to make groups stay where they are not used to decayin... Read more

Location is great and the stuff is very friendly, accommodating but the rooms, bathrooms, linens and towels all need to be renewed. Also the cleaning in the dining room is disgusting. All the tables and chairs are sticky they need a thorough cleaning. The elevators are not functioning well they made us use the service elevator once and we had to walk the stairs several times.

Good location close to old city and Mamila shopping center, friendly stuff. Very basic breakfast. Old hotel but clean. Good value for money. If Shabat is your last day in visit you can check out after exiting Shabat so you will get additional half day to stay

First our room had no window, The mattress was like a cot that sank in the middle to the floor. When I asked to switch rooms, the manager was rude. and basically we would have to deal with it. We waited 40 minutes to even speak to him. We even offered to pay more for a different room. He said he would get us a new mattress in 10 minutes. 2 1/2 hours later, we went back down. Then, suddenly there was a cancellation and he moved us to a new room. Next, 2 out of 3 elevators were broken for the 4 d... Read more

Good central location, but rather tired decor- a lot of brown and odd colored bathroom fixtures. We had a suite on the 11th floor with a huge wrap around terrace and great views of the old City. Would recommend the upgrade as much more space than the standard rooms

Our tour group stayed at the King Solomon and used it as a base from which to visit other areas of Israel. Our accommodation was great, very comfortable bed, the bathroom was roomy with generous supply of hair products, a great view from our room. The breakfast, dinners were tasty and generous portions. We arrived at the hotel very late and the hotel sent a cold plate of food to our room since the restaurant was closed. The service was excellent across the board. We had a very pleasant stay and ... We reserved 2 rooms on Thursday for a Friday night stay with full board and are happy to report that everything about our stay was very pleasant. Reception was welcoming and happy. Check-in and check-out went smoothly ---no hassles, no long lines---although the hotel was supposedly full. Staff was very attentive----I asked for an extra pillow and it was delivered within 5 minutes. Our room -#104, was perfect for us, just a few steps from the lobby which meant our kids didn't have to use the ele... Read more
