This hotel is in a perfect location just steps from the gate of the old city! The feel of the hotel is so unique. The rooms are carved out of what look like caves. The stay is comfortable, the staff is kind and helpful, the price is more than reasonable. There are plenty of other tourists staying there that you can chat with and get tips on your travel. HIGHLY recommended!

Just steps from the Dasmascus Gate with thick stone walls, large spacious rooms, and unique Arabian decor, this hotel has great character. I was concerned that the rooms would be cold due to the stone walls, but they were well heated. Bathrooms were quite small, but sometimes that's the compromise for character.

I was in Jerusalem after a 2 week tour of Israel/ Palestine, and needed a place to stay for the night. A friend recommended the Jerusalem Hotel, and I took the advice. I could not have been more pleased. VERY unique rooms, great price, and INCREDIBLE service..INCREDIBLE! It's close proximity to the Old City allowed a night stroll..magical. I had an early flight out of TLV, and Nasser not only arranged a reasonably priced taxi, but too, he had the chef prepare some sandwiches for my 5am departure... Read more

Jerusalem Hotel, my home from home from home. I have probably during the last 5 years - from May 2011 until now May 2016 stayed there up to 40 nights, if not more, and each time I come there its a great pleasure; from the arrival at always the smiling receptionists, to the room and in their restaurant. I always recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues, and they have all come back to me and confirmed the excellency of this Hotel.

We order a meat and chicken mix (kebab)and i think it was reheated because the French fries was brown and the meat was very hard and we saw the next table and also they had the same plate and if you compare the dishes there is a big difference, so i don't recommend this restaurant in Jerusalem.

Today I visited the restaurant (garden) for dinner , it was a very bad experience I can only give it one star for location. Even though we reserved in advance a table for 14 persons they were un prepared at all there was only one staff member who took the orders and served them also took trips to the cashier whenever is needed , the service was so slow we actually had two of us getting our orders from the kitchen , and I had to wait 50 mins for my chicken Alfredo which was bad too!! We also wan... Read more

We love this hotel and have been there several times. It is very charming and we love spending the evening out in the outdoor eating area drinking coffee or tea and smoking hookah. I love the beautiful covers on the beds and the old furniture. It feels like you're sleeping in an old castle. Very cultural experience. Going there again in a month with my husband. If you're looking for a sterile clean hotel with American food this is NOT the place for you. I was there back in 2012 but had t... Read more

This hotel is in a convenient location for those who want to visit the old city. It's close to the Damascus gate, which is a beautiful gate to enter the old city from the arabic part of Jerusalem. The arabic style of the rooms is great too and gives an authentic Middle Eastern atmosphere. One negative point is the restaurant staff : you need to wait hours before being served and sometimes they just ignore you whereas local customers seem to be served much faster.

Its Charming. Its located in the heart of the city of Jerusalem , close by to everything. Also the staff are very friendly. Food is average, not as amazing as expected. I liked the place because also its animal friendly, its great to see the cats around but its also sad that the staff do not care about these cats and kick them out which was a very uncivilized and inhumane scene for me to see, it felt like the cats were only fed by us the customers which is a shame that a restaurant doesn't give ... Excellent location, good staff service, small bathroom with nasty odors, good size room, good a/c, they should fix drainage of the bathroom to avoid bad odors, helpful reception staff, average breakfast

I ordered a salad and appetizer. Both were excellent. The espresso here was very good too. This garden restaurant is located right next to the bus station and very close to The garden tomb. Service was excellent. If smoking bothers you you might want to consider dining elsewhere.

Great Arabic style hotel, every room is in unique. Friendly Staff. Great location if you want to visit the the Old City, it is right outside of the Damascus gate. If you want to spend more time in the new part of Jerusalem and stay out later at night, especially if you are a single girl traveler, I would recommend staying closer to Mahane Yehuda street and market. Also, the breakfast at this hotel wasn't fresh.

Very nice family hotel. Hotel is being looked after but has been aging which makes it look neglected. I did not like the outside environment. It is close to the Damascus Gate which is not my style of market to hang around.
