The Jerusalem Gold is next door to the central bus station and across the street from the tram station, so the location is wonderful. The bus station contains a large shopping area, so you can entertain yourself, buy beverages, etc. Very convenient. The hotel is right on Jaffa Road so it's easy to walk to the Old City without getting lost. The hotel itself is fine, rooms are a bit small but well arranged and clean. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. The buffet breakfast and dinner is very ta... Read more

We are a group of pilgrims from Russia. We stayed in this hotel for 3 years in a row. Because we LOVE it! The location is very good - just near central Bus station, market is not far, many city buses stop in front of the hotel. BUT the most important impression we've got from the owner - Mrs Ariela! She is a great person who is very easy to communicate. She is so friendly and any one who met her fell in love with her! She welcomes her guests and makes the hotel very comfortable. The personnel is... Read more

I arranged for my Uncle and Aunt to spend 5 days in Jerusalem on a budget but they are both over 70's so need a hotel that is going to assist them. The customer service is second to none. We booked the hotel. We emailed them to help book the day trips. This was paid when they checked in and all have hotel pick ups. They respond on the same day (almost instant) on emails and were very easy to talk to on the phone. My relatives were very pleased with their memorable trip.

Clean hotel, hard by the Central Bus Station Good plumbing, furniture. Parking options include a paid hotel lot, a meter lot outside (free overnight) and a completely free parking area 1 block away, near a supermarket. Good housekeeping. Only problem - wifi is completely open without a password, even from Jaffa street outside.

Well situated: Just crossing the street is the light railway (for yad vashem and damascus gate) and the bus station. (Ask your sherut to take you to the bus station, is side by side and cheaper). And it's walking distance to yehuda market. Nice staff, helpful and kind with a high score for Ouday at the lobby. Good breakfast beginning soon to take advantage of the day. Rooms aged in need of improvement (at least floor 8) but not at all crumbling. Clean enough. Internet working well. I suppose g... Read more

I was part of a South African group on a tour to Israel and we had a 2 day overnight stay at this hotel. The food was most enjoyable. The staff friendly and the rooms one of the best we stayed in. Well situated next to the Central Bus Station and the light railway to the shops. I enjoyed my stay. The shop inside the hotel offers tourists to Isreal excellent items of true value.

The location is top notch for anyone wanting to have mobility to all of Jerusalem. If your there for obedience, then this is not the spot. For those people traveling on a budget, there is no better value.

Shalom! Centrally located and all major attractions can be reached even by tram. Price too is attractive comparing to other similar hotels in the city. Friendly staff. Rooms are clean and more higher you are more silent it is. Jerusalem Gold Hotel is ideal for a short stay in the city!

At the Jerusalem Gold Hotel you get what you pay for. It is a basic budget hotel. The rooms are rather small but they are clean and at least there was coffee facilities and a fridge. The on-suite bathroom and toilet was well equipped. The breakfast was surprisingly good, beautifully laid out and plentiful

This hotel has all that I value when I travel. The rooms are clean, the staff polite, patient, and even more friendly and helpful when they get to know you. The breakfast and dinner buffett included in my tour was wonderful. Now this hotel is popular with large groups of tourists. It is a budget hotel. So when many exhuberant young people are staying here you might need your ear plugs at night. Jerusalem is a holy city so on Shabbat do not expect to have the lobby shop open or to be able to orde... Nice room, very comfortable bed , good breakfast. The hotel is 2 steps to the central bus station so is very convenient if you are planning to visit other cities around without changing hotels (tel aviv is only 50 minutes by bus also the Dead Sea is 50 minutes by bus). In the central bus station there are plenty of eateries.

The hotel is nice, with beautiful design and the location is great. The staff however is terrible! we arrived after a day walk to the hotel at 14:00 just to find out that the hotel chose this hour to clean our floor.. Two hours later we woke up because of the annoying noise of the hoover! The hotel refuse to stop despite our pleading. This hotel could be much better with other management
