We were in Jerusalem gate on February, This hotel is awesome!! We were welcomed with a great staff, specially at the reception, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, upgraded, great Buffet food!!! The Receptionists are very friendly and compassionate, they help us for any question, gave us a map of the city and all the information about the city. The view are spectacular. Good location, next to the central station, next to the train station, many shops & restaurants.

Hotel definitely needs upgrading, but for the price clean, comfy beds, good hot shower, all the things needed after a day of touring and walking. The reception desk was helpful, there is a little mall downstairs from the lobby, nice little shops to browse or if you need toiletries.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a tourist group from the States. We had been to three different countries and different hotels. This hotel was the worst. After checking in, we went to our room on the seventh floor, the magnetic keys provided didn't work. We had to ask a hotel worker just to let us in the room. Afterwards I went to the front desk and informed the clerk hoping he will reprogram the keys, instead, he gave us a regular house key. The room itself was in bad shape... Read more

This is a great Hotel, with a even better location. The rooms are a little small, But they are clean and neat. The location is near some hot spots great for people on vacation. Each morning you can go downstairs and they have a brake fast buffet. If you go further down into the basement it leads you to a small mall. This is a great place to stay when in Jerusalem.

I have stayed at this hotel many times but notice the services getting less and less, cards to room were not working even after 3 trips to the front desk when they finally gave me a key, no bar soaps in room only liquid soap which was empty and not refilled even when room service was asked to do so, floor in toilet became full of water when using the shower due to a sewer backup and nothing was done to repair it even when they were asked to do so, breakfast menu was less than half of just 1 yea... Inexpensive option located next to all modes of transportation - the central bus station, light rail, and soon, the express train to Tel Aviv. Good quality wi-fi and many inexpensive places to eat at and a small shopping center near by.

Spent our vacation time in Jerusalem at the Jerusalem Gate Hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. the suit was specious and very clean the staff couldn't have been any nicer !!! you can't miss it cause it's right at the entrance to the city and really close to public transportation and some times within walking distance of many tourists attractions . the food was very good and plenty not to mention Kosher. all and all a great experience.

Came here with my mum and a group, truly amazing place, close to everything. You really get an understanding on culture and history. It is one to add to your bucket list! I loved every moment in Jerusalem, I felt safe and the local people are wonderful.

We stayed there for 2 days of a ten days pilgrimage to Israel. The environment was good but have a terrible experience with my room close to a lift due to constant use Not all the staff were welcoming though. As they could not be bothered seeing us struggling to bring our luggage in upon our arrival . These not withstanding the food was good.

I do not recommend this hotel for many reasons. The first reason is the rooms do not have bed sheets. I am serious. The rooms don't have bed sheets. Secondly, my toilet seats aren't attached to the seat. I have been going to the bathroom with the toilet seat unconnected to the toilet. Thirdly, the hotel management is extremely grumpy, rude, and inconsiderate. I am staying at this hotel with a group. Our group is not being loud. The hotel management said that we were being to loud. They threaten... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Topdeck tour. Having stayed in Egypt this was a refreshing change! The hotel is very smart with a large foyer and plenty of rooms. The rooms themselves were small but had everything you needed. The beds were big and comfortable, there was a fridge and good air conditioning. The bathroom was well presented and had good hot water/shower pressure. They were well serviced each day and they provided tea/coffee and the shower items. The wifi is excellent in t... Read more

Despite the nice lobby, the bathrooms in this hotel are awful. The shower was scalding hot with barely any cold water to complement it. The toilet paper was scarce and rough, and was not ever replaced over the 3 night stay. Bed sheets also had stains on them. Food was good in the hotel restaurant, but the poor room experience was not acceptable.

The hotel staff would not honour the booking we made with Gala hotels which they say was arranged by 'Tourico' -( a name unfamiliar to us, the customer) although we showed them the receipt from Gala Hotels to prove our purchase. They stated Gala Hotels had not booked the suite for which we had proof of purchase. We had also taken out insurance against cancellation, something we would not have needed to do had we booked a standard room which was refundable. The fault appears to lie with Gala Hot... Read more

Since the hotel is at the entrance of Jerusalem.. Its called Jerusalem Gate hotel.. It has bus and train station just round teh corner and also shops around.. We arrived during the Shabat period and hence the hotel was full of Jews staying at the hotel and worshippig in teh synagogue thus there was no service avaulabke and 1 lift was kept for the pilgrims.. The hotel was massive but rooms were alright.. Breakfast was good with lot of salads for veggies.. overall a decent stay...
