Arrived at the hotel, and was upgraded a corner larger room. Nice cozy and friendly location. Walking to market, center and Mamila shopping, parking is an issue, and the paid parking nearby is not very convenient. Very attentive personel and excellent management .

Nice room, with separate bedroom and small balcony. Must be nice in summer, but room is very cold in winter, and very difficult to heat. No bar or area to sit and relax, only the room. This is a pity. Breakfast can be taken at hotel 5min walk.Very slow wifi. Good location, parking lot at 500m, close to old city centre.

The two of us wanted a lower cost place within walking distance of the Old City and with a local feel. And that's what Hillel 11 is! The room was small but acceptable; we only slept and showered there. The front desk person was helpful, calling our tour guide when they were late, and giving great advice for a local restaurant just down the street (look for the glass "box" eating area on the street). The place needed a few minor repairs, but I think they had changed owners and were making imp... Read more

I was visiting Israel with my wife and 3 kids, so I was looking for rooms that would suit 5 people. The Hillel 11 is converted apartments, so the rooms are large, with a master bedroom, a converted second bedroom with an added wall, and a living area. The hotel is walking distance to everything - shopping, Old City, restaurants, first station, etc. However, be aware that you are staying in budget accomodations. The walls were dirty, the sofa was ripped and stained, the sink leaked, and the h... Read more

Hillel 11 is a great choice for those with a clear idea of what they are looking for: in terms of location, space, and value, this would be tough to beat. We visited Jerusalem for six nights with our family of five during the week of Hanukkah/Christmas/New Years and stayed in a two bedroom suite for under $2,000. Our suite was spare and functional but also light-filled, comfortable and clean. While lacking features of a luxury hotel, like fancy linens and soaps, a concierge, or meal service, we... Read more

The hotel is in a good location - between Old City to the south and market area to teh north. The reception people were very helpful with restaurant bookings, information and general room stuff requests. The room was large (deluxe suite) but seemed under furnished and so didn't feel particularly comfortable and was pretty basic. We had a sink in the living room and kettle but very little to go with it. The cleaning staff were good as we left at odd times but they still cleaned the room. Think it... Read more

The room was very clean, the staff was helpful, the location is very close to restaurants, markets etc... the room was a suit room. everything was perfect. It is not very close to the old city but the location is very secure and is located at the center of modern part of the city.

Was very happily surprised by our stay at this small hotel. Location was great walking distance to everything in center of town but nice and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful;. We were upgraded to a suite which was great. Our own little apt equipped with everything we could need including high end shampoo and cream, electric kettle, refrigerator tea and coffee. Great bathroom with roomy walk in shower, comfortable bed and living room suite and spotless clean.

The staff at the reception is very helpful and knowledgeable. I got a bus timetable to travel from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv which was very helpful. Also restaurant tips were useful. Unfortunately the room was not very clean, especially the bath room (shower and toilet!) were very dirty. Hocks for towels are missing, also there is not a lot of space for your stuff in the bath.
