Male Receptionist walked into our room after one quick knock, we didn't get a chance to answer. We then discovered the lock was broken and we were not able to lock the door from the inside. Toilet didn't flush. Sink had dirty big crack in it. Vent in shower caked in dust. I've never experienced anything like it. Couldn't check out soon enough.

Never have a problem with the travelodge always stay here at least twice a year if not more. Great customer service would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cheap stay in the heart of Waterford city.

Loud noise both internally and externally from people shouting. I know this can happen but an apology the next day would of went a long way. Even after checking out and waiting for a taxi there was an argument between the manager/supervisor and another guest which was awkward. Room was basic but clean, I booked a double room and was given 2 single beds pushed together with one mattress higher than the other.

Booked it at the last minute. Fine for a cheap stay or for a weekend but would not recommend it if you are looking for comfort or sevices! Staff were friendly but the place needs a good deep & high level clean and paint! No real issue with noise although we did have to listen to the McDonalds drive thru evey few minutes. Beds and rooms was clean-ish (basic) but a room booked for 3 people was only set up for 2 people. Had to ask for extra towels, cups, pillows etc. Rooms was not easy to get ... Read more

Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Bit of a maze to get up to your room. Staff is friendly. Common area is a bit dated. Bitbuzz Wi-Fi is terrible. Gives you 24 he access afterwards impossible to sign back in again. This day and age Wi-Fi is a must.

Overall a great place to stay, a little noisy at night other than that could not fault the hotel. We will definitely be back and may try more Travelodge locations in the future, Great rates also not to be beat on a bank holiday weekend

I was a little disappointed with the location of the hotel as it was a bit out if town. When we checked in it seemed like we were wending our way through a rabbit warren but when we got to our room ( no lift - which is a bit of a nuisance when you have large suitcases) it was spacious & clean with a large bathroom. Bed was extremely comfortable & room had block out curtains again very useful. Overall quite a nice stay.

The Travelodge in Waterford is consistently good value for money. The accommodation is clean and fresh. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Even our dog receives a warm welcome. I have stayed there many times and will do so in future. The advertised packed breakfast was not available but there is an American style diner next door.

Cheap and friendly and great value for the money. We were a group of golfers playing at Faithlegg, Waterford Castle and Tramore golf courses. The courses were fantastic and the hotel was very cheap, just what we wanted. All of our group said they would like to go again.

Stayed here last night with my partner while attending the Daytripper music festival in Waterford. Everthing about our stay was really good from check-in to check out! The location is perfect for visiting Waterford and with free parking, it's ideal to leave your car and quick 10 minute stroll will bring you into Waterford city. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the room was spacious and spotless. We both had a great nights sleep with no disturbances. We will definately be returning t... Read more

The hotel was very run down, and located in a very noisy spot with rooms backing into the Macdonalds Car Park. The rooms smelt quite badly, and the facilities very outdated. Felt unsafe leaving our car in the car park, as there were people outside fighting and revving their engines, shouting and swearing until all hours of the night. Wouldn't recommend this hotel, particularly as we were travelling with children.

pull out beds for beds uncomfy not ideal if its a longer family stay i would suggest staying elsewhere. it was value for the e59 we paid. it is a very basic hotel. a short drive to city centre. quite location - the sports stadium near by did not disturb us.

It was the start of school holidays and Rod Stewart was playing in Kilkenny. For whatever reason this was the only hotel available for a long distance. They obviously ramp their prices up as it was expensive when we got the conversion on our credit card. Rooms smell, bathroom is awful, shoes stick to the carpet in the halls. Rubbish hotel!

On arrival.after a long day travelling from Wales we were given our room keys, found our room, went in to find someone else's belongings but thankfully the people weren't in !! That would of been so embarrassing plus it's nice to know they randomly give keys out to rooms with people's stuff in !! Then bed time came to the noisiest place ever, loud music, doors banging, not a great welcome to Ireland -hope our trip improves !

Rooms are spacious and clean. They are cleaned daily and fresh towels and bed linen provided. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. For a weekend away Travelodge is simple and adequate. Wi Fi is also available.

Hotel overall very clean n tidy, but as for facilities it were non existent, and no hotel bar was a defo turn off for me, then had a 20 min walk to Waterford centre. I have used Travelodge in galway and it's much better.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our trip in Ireland. Though we had nothing to complin about in our room, during the night there was a lot of running about in the corridors by small children, which made it a bit difficult to sleep. Location is around a 30 minute walk from the centre of Waterford

Basic hotel with few facilities except the bed! First room smelled of cigarette smoke so we moved, second room smelled of something unpleasant but unidentifiable - maybe detergent. It's outside the city centre in an industrial area - there are fast food outlets around and some of the large supermarkets (Aldi) to get supplies. Very basic, however it was cheap for 3 people.
