Booked dinner for 25 family members for my son's confirmation yesterday. From the moment we arrived we were looked after so well by the really friendly and helpful manager Jason and his staff. I believe the hotel has changed hands lately and there is a marked improvement. They had reserved an area in the newly and beautifully renovated bar area to watch the Ireland rugby match and to have a few drinks before dinner served by Gavin the friendly barman. After the match we went into the restaurant... Read more

Located about 1.5 miles from city centre. Fairly basic old style hotel that needs a bit of work being done. It all works however and staff are very friendly. Reception very good and room reasonable size but a bit tired. Bed comfortable and we slept well. Plenty of storage space and good size bathroom. Silly things let it down though like poor quality toilet paper and no adjustment on radiator (on max all the time). Limited menu for meals in busy hotel bar but good size meals and reasonable price... Read more

I have to say from the minute I walked in - reception were great and accommodating with my asking for directions and questions. I was running the Great Limerick full marathon so I had a few. I asked about breakfast and they said it doesn't open till 8am, now being I had to be up at 6am to eat, they said let me check. She came back and said no problem I 'll be here at 7am to make sure you can eat, get your porridge, fruit etc.. This is great service and made my day as the thought of not having ... Read more

We stayed one night at the Woodfield House Hotel, I actualy had to go back online before writing review to look at Hotel to see why I considered staying there. Lets say they did very good "STAGING" for there online photos. Room was such a weird white with terrible wallpaper, it was very suppressive. No color, no warmth, NOTHING LIKE ONLINE PHOTOS, bathroom was dirty, tub had mildew all over, overflow drain was slimy with mold. Not sure how water came out of shower head it was all crusted over, ... Read more

I stayed here for 1 night recently and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way. The room was very comfortable and warm and the TV had a good selection of channels, including some from the UK. I thought the full Irish breakfast could perhaps be a bit bigger, although it tasted very nice. The hotel bar is also very reasonably priced and is a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere too. There is plenty of car parking too. There are hotels closer to the city ce... Read more
