The Gleneagle is a great hotel. Staff are very helpful and there is a great choice of food in the various restaurants. The conference facilities in the attached INEC are excellent. Rooms are a nice size and very comfortable. The décor is coming to the point where it could do with a make over but nothing to complain about. Great location just outside the town.

Stayed here for four nights as part of an organised coach trip. Cases were portered up to our room, which was nice, and reception was well organised. Our room was clean, the bathroom clean but basic. Meals were a bit repetitive, I guess it was because we were part of a coach party, but after four nights of mashed potato every night, we were fed up with it! The food however, was well cooked, the breakfasts were very good, nothing was greasy, you could have as much as you wanted, and the staff wer... Read more

The weather was very warm when we were there and the staff dropped over 2 x fans for us. My parents stayed in the main hotel at the same time and loved their sta... Read more

Stayed here as a family break and loved it. The location is great, the food good and rooms are comfortable. My only grievance was there is a bar in the hotel that is not universally accessible. I had my daughter in a pram and wanted to get a bite to eat in the bar. Me and my wife had to manoeuvre the pram up of a number of steps. I wouldn't fancy having restricted mobility as the bar is out of bounds. This is a little bit of a contradiction as the room pack makes reference to the hotel being un... Read more

Stayed for a short midweek break. We weren't aware of it but our visit co-incided with 'Give it a Go' entertainment week. As a result there were quite a few organised groups and coach parties booked in. Many activities were organised chiefly for the over 50's and as a result the hotel was very busy day and night. Our check-in was fast and effecient and we were assigned a room on the first floor. We were very glad as it meant no climbing stairs or waiting for lifts. Our room was very nice and c... Read more

This hotel is quite dated, room was cold and not very clean. For the price we paid I would have expected a bit better, but I guess im paying for the fact it is in Kerry. We have just experienced a wonderful holiday in a hotel that had everything. Even though it was at the back end of the holiday season, the hotel was clean, the rooms were spotless and kept clean throughout our stay. The staff was excellent and even though I have eating problems, the Chef John Drummond supplied me with ample food. And the view from our bedroom was great which had a balcony. I would recommend this HOTEL to any one.

Stayed in the apartments and could not fault them. Lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean and they even had milk and bread left in for us! A lovely touch indeed. Only drawback is the early checkout of 10am on the morning of your departure. Staff in hotel friendly and efficient and very helpful. Would definitely return:-)

Booked the two bedroom apartment for us three adults. The master was ensuite, but would sleep three and the other bedroom would also accommodate three. Very nice and warm as the heat was in the floor. Check out is at 1000 and they are very strict on that ( 50.00 per hour extra for first 2 and 100.00 each hour after or part). Live entertainment each evening and dance floor. Some of the guests are really good and of course some groups are better than others. More to do than time to do it in, plan y... Read more

We had a very pleasant four night stay at Gleneagle Killarney as part of an Ulster Bus Tour. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Yvonne booked our onward hotel in Cork so efficiently. Bridget, Siobhan, and Nora went to great lengths to find my mobile phone which I left at hotel. It has now been returned to me in England. The food was very good and service very pleasant. Our driver David could not have done more to make our tour comfortable and very interesting. Thank you all so much

Rooms are okay, spacious and quite clean but this is getting old.The bath/shower is not enough large and that makes the curtain get's into you all the time...If you we're my friend, I would invite you to choose a different hotel nearby. To be honest, I am pretty sure that you can find much better deal for the price. Btw, internet is semi-slow but works 100% of time. Have fun over there.

We booked this hotel for six of us + friends as we were in Killarney for The Quest! The rooms were clean & spacious, staff were friendly. Parking was appalling, service in restaurant the night we arrived was very slow - staff were doing their best but not enough of them. Breakfast the next morning was OK but tables were so close together we were almost hitting elbows with the people at the next table. The Gleneagle is one of the biggest and busiest hotels I've stayed in in Ireland, so hats off to the management team that keep the place running. After the long drive from Dublin, the check in experience was pleasant and quick. The lady on reception managed to convey the necessary information without going over the top. Something I appreciated. My room was a bit of a trek from reception and involved two lifts, but in such a large hotel, this is inevitable. It's worth being aware of this if... Read more

When we arrived we were greeted by the General Manager (John) who showed us where Reception was and made sure we got checked in ok. All the staff that we encountered during our 2 days were just fabulous. Loved the entertainment, INEC is brilliant and the food in OD's restaurant was really good value. Isobel in the dinning room and Megan. Isobel, with her pleasant personality was so helpful to the guests ensuring that their dietary needs were attended to yet was so business like. The Gleneagles was an excellent hotel to stay at. The room was very comfortable and clean. The meals that were served were high class and very filling. I would highly recommend The backstage bar if you are looking for a modern place to escape from the more "vintage" style of the rest of the hotel. The entertainment provided every night is good, however very dated but excellent for the majority age group that stays at the gleneagles.
