A very clean, comfortable and traditional hotel. Great central location and very nice breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room at the rear had a wonderfull view over the rooftops of Killarney, with the mountains of Macgillycuddys Reeks in the background. A very nice place to stay.

Although there is no parking outside the hotel, facilities were not that far away and was very reasonable. Our room was lovely and had a lift which was a great asset. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel was so close to all the shops and restaurants that we had no complaints. It looked as though the hotel had its own restaurant at some point in its history and it is a shame they haven't reopened it. Maybe they will in the future.

We have visited Killarney many times and we keep going back to The Fairview. Beyond the great location, clean and attractive rooms, delicious buffet or freshly cooked breakfast, is the great service you receive. The owner James greets you with caring and true interest in accommodating your every need. His team, Anne and staff, are there to back him up and create a professional quality hotel experience with attention to details. This team really cares about this business and taking care of their ... Read more

Staying in the fairview guest house in Killarney at present , pricey for a b&b breakfast is very good , rooms are very clean but could do with some blinds or nets on the windows as the room we are in is facing the Main Street and we are over looked by a hotel across the road .there is no parking on site but you can park in a set down space till you unload your bags and then move to a car park 3 mins away.the only problem we had is the staff aren't customer friendly at all

The location is perfect - walking distance to everything . I gave it only 3 stars for minor annoyances - i.e. Towels had holes , card to be activated many times and bed not super comfortable . The hotel is next door to a pub which woke us up several times a night with its loud noise. Breakfast is super and it was very clean .

We had 4 rooms booked at the Fairview. We had one of our rooms upgraded to a suite, with jaccuzzi tub. There were 9 of us altogether. Even though in one room there was an adult & young child, there was no discount for child. The rooms were clean and modern. The hotel is at the epicenter of everything. However, with the windows open at night, it was very noisy in the alleyway 'til 3 AM, so not a restful sleep.

Positives: The best feature of this place is the location, you can't beat it!! The breakfast was also very nice. The offsite parking worked out great (‚?¨3/for 24 hours). Negatives: We had a 1st floor room and we found this property to be very loud. There was a lot of noise transfer from above and room beside and outside. Morning breakfast prep started really early and was loud clanking and basking coming through the window, our room was right above the kitchen. We had to keep the window ... Read more

We stayed at the Fairview in Killarney for 2 nights on our journey through Ireland. The rooms were very clean and nice! The breakfast in the morning had a decent variety and was perfect to get your day started. I loved the location I thought it was in a perfect location and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.... The horse drawn carriage ride through the park, the wool shop (big & lots to choose from) right around the corner! Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from! I ... Read more

This hotel was perfect, The rooms are lovely and clean...You can tell how the ownership pays attention to detail. The hotel is family run and you can tell the pride they take in their hotel....Breakfast is served in a beautiful diningroom and the breakfasts were delicious and well presented......We loved the location. We could walk to everything in town.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and we chose it because of its centre town location. Very convenient. The rooms are lovely but remember you are in a town setting and therefore there are no 'beautiful' views. Breakfast was nice if a little tight on space in the dining room but I would recommend this hotel. Its a great stop off point if you want to walk the town of Killarney.

Stayed overnight while roadtripping through Ireland. Charming hotel in an even more charming region. Killarney is fairly compact so pretty much every shop and restaurant in town is within easy walking distance of the hotel. Room was B&B style, quiet despite overlooking the main street, spacious, and had nice features like a Jacuzzi (at least in the room I received). Had no trouble with climate control or wifi, which had satisfactory speed. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, probably took unde... Read more

The hotel is in a great area, very close to downtown Killarney, tons of shopping and restaurants. The room we had reeked of cigarette smoke even though the hotel was non-smoking. The hotel was booked the night we were there so we couldn't switch rooms. The breakfast was standard issue Irish Breakfast and was good.

In choosing a hotel to stay at for my exploration of Killarney, I wanted someplace that was comfortable, provided good service, offered a nice breakfast, and was conveniently situated. The Fairview Guesthouse exceeded my expectations on all accounts. The staff of the Fairview made me feel at home when I arrived. As I had arrived earlier than check-in time, they stored my luggage while I had lunch, and took a few turns around the town. The town of Killarney is relatively small, and the walk f... Read more

I stayed at the Fairview Hotel in Killarney for 2 nights at the end of June. The hotel was chosen for me by a tour company and was part of a 7-day multi-city tour of Ireland. The location is in the middle of the town of Killarney and is only three short blocks to High Street (Main Street). Our tour group arrived around 5 pm and our rooms were ready for us upon arrival. My room on floor one (not the ground floor) was nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. I had a double bed, single bed, ... Read more

My wife and I and my in-laws spent three nights at the Fairview. In short, the Fairview is an excellently situated, well appointed hotel. It's very convenient in terms of location - close to everything but a bit removed for greater quiet. The rooms are clean and spacious and the amenities are very solid. The complimentary breakfast options are pretty broad, and all food / drink is fresh and well prepared. The staff is friendly. Honestly had no real complaints after our stay. It's not the highest... Visited here with my family (age 6-69) for 3 nights. Very good location, close to all the restaurants, pubs and shops. Also easy to unload car in front, park up the road, and then the hotel arranged a tour for us which picked up up right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was great, staff was so nice and the hotel is very comfortable and stylish. Upon arrival they offered us the option of a room upgrade for only 10 euros per person which we opted for and was worth the extra space to spread out.

Really nice room and great breakfast. The room was very large, even by American standards. Owners are much involved and it shows. Great location in Killarney. Loved the vegetarian Irish breakfast option. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area.

This is a wonderful hotel. The location is perfect for exploring Killarney, the staff were warm and friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. A tasty continental breakfast is often included in the rate (depending on your booking) and the restaurant staff went above and beyond, by serving us early, when they learned that we would be checking out quite early. Parking is off-site but is very close and very affordable. My family had an enjoyable experience and we would love to stay again!

Stayed for one night in May. This would be what people call "Boutique" hotel and that's exactly what this is. The room we stayed which was upgraded from basic room had hardwood floor with big bathroom. The floor squeaked a bit but other than that, beautiful. It's close to train station and central enough as Killarney is not a big town. The highlight of the hotel was breakfast. You get all the protein table served but have buffet set up for fruits, juice, milk and yogurts.

Had first booked into another Hotel in Killarney and was very disappointed to say the least. Googled the Fairview and called round to see them. Was meet by James, the Co Owner and he could not have did enough to help us. Needed Three Rooms and he jiggled things around for us to arrive the next day. Upon our arrival on the Saturday they were most helpful and couldn't do enough. We stayed here with 16 guys for a golf trip. They were extremely accommodating and they went above and beyond with us. We had a blast. This hotel was incredibly well situated in the city with access to all of the fun sights to see and pubs to enjoy. The staff was fantastic and this is a place I would highly recommend.

The owner and staff could not do more to make us feel at home and welcome.. The location is perfect with everything on the doorstep.. We stayed 6 nights and the rooms were so spacious, my room had a dvd player and a jacuzzi bath. When I go back to Killarney I will be booking The Fairview again.. in my opinion a real gem of a place.

My initial review, We stayed in the Penthouse suite and while it is a nice room, we were disturbed by an unwelcome intrusion. The proprietors had arranged an engineer to come and "repair" the Jacuzzi during our stay. This was on a Monday morning, 2 days into our stay. Firstly, we were not notified of any issue with the Jacuzzi before we checked in. Secondly, they thought we were out when they entered a room with "Do Not Disturb" clearly hanging from the door knob. No call was made to the room t... Read more

We toured Ireland and what amazing country particularly the country area and Ring of Kerry. We stayed two nights at The Fairway in Killarney. We received a very hearty welcome at Hotel. We stayed in the Penthouse and our room was intruded upon by a member of staff who thought we were out. We had requested no service for the room so there was no reason for anyone to enter, we even had the "do not disturb" notice hanging from the door. I queried this at reception and was told that an engineer had arrived to "repair" the jacuzzi. I was duly informed that the jets on the jacuzzi were malfunctioning and needed service. Why this was booked when the room was occupied is beyond me. Aft... Read more

Convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms and great breakfasts in Irish tradition. Avoid front rooms as the traffic noise is incessant...room needs double glazing. Beds not comfortable....my pet hate is two single beds pushed together to make a double bed...never comfortable. Also the sag in the bed indicated mattress was well passed its use by date. Staff kindly provided mattress overlay which helped a bit. No Parking on site but some about 300metres up the street for 3 euros/ day.

We spent 3 nights at The Fairview Hotel. The rooms were clean and updated. It was very quiet except at night on the weekend. The street noise was a bit of a problem which we fixed for the most part, by closing the windows. The staff were extremely helpful. I especially want to call out Anne, the night desk person.
