Outside is very beautiful. Inside is nice. Oir room is alright. Toilet didnt work and the ladies who work here are quite rude. Went to the bar to eat, waiting 20 minutes for someone to ask us what we would to drink, waited 20 minutes for our drinks amd food order. Than waited 20 minutes for our cheque. The spa was nicebut not worth 340 erous for 2 people. The foid is great and it is in a good location. Close to town square and different places to see.

My partner, her two boys and myself spent a wonderful night at The Brehon in May 2016. The occasion was to celebrate the communion of my partners son. He loves hotels and wanted to stay in a "nice" hotel so we took a chance on The Brehon. It turned out to be an excellent choice. It's a beautiful property with outstanding staff, excellent facilities and great food. We really enjoyed our stay. The room more than accommodate all five of us. The hotel staff was attentive and helpful, the rooms were beautiful, and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Checked in to the Brehon back in May but felt I also had to leave a glowing review as a way of thank you to all the staff we came across during our special weekend. In particular Mary O'Connell who checked us in & upgraded us to a suite on the top floor! When booking the Brehon I noted that I was going to propose to my girlfriend on the Sunday. My proposal went very well thankfully! However, our stay at the Brehon just completely blew us away, we had stayed before and I have to say that each... Read more

We stayed at the Brehon Killarney last weekend. This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful location beside Muckross park. Excellent breakfast . We had dinner in the bar on one night-no reservation needed- found it very reasonable, good menu and food of the highest standard. There's a shuttle bus service as its a bit out of town. The room was massive and I had the best nights sleep on the magical bed. Everything was really clean and breakfast was really nice (general breakfast items with hot food as well). We also got a lot of great tips and help from the front desk staff. The only cons were it is a massive hotel and it may be nice to stay in a cozier place (like a b&b) in this adorable city. It was also too cold and wet to walk to town (15-20 min walk) so we had to take cabs and it would've been nice to stay closer to t... Read more

The Brehon Hotel in Killarney does the best walk-in breakfast in Ireland and ‚??The Brehon Bar‚??, is a very popular ‚??eat and meet‚?? point for the business community and tourist alike. Just back from a stay here with my boyfriend we had originally booked for 5 nights but actually booked ourselves in for a extra night as a treat to ourselves. The breakfast is wonderful, great selections and the staff are always available for any requests such as boiled eggs. Check in was very smooth and we were given maps of the area very friendly receptionists. Once we arrived in our room reception rang to check was everything okay which we were surpised about and then 5 mins later they arrive... Read more

We had a wonderful four night stay. Our room was very well presented and clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff from providing our daughter with a dressing gown to special requests at breakfast. Our daughter particularly enjoyed using the Aquila Club facilities at the sister Gleneagles hotel.Thank you

We stayed three nights for my best friend's wedding - from the moment we checked in to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely (massive bed, big plus!) with beautiful views, good quality toiletries (although the bathroom fittings could do with a little TLC), lots of fluffy towels and robes. The food in the bar was delicious (chicken wings especially) and breakfast in the Danu was terrific. The staff were very friendly and professional, any queries were dealt with... Read more

We had our wedding at the Brehon in July. Every detail was perfect at the Brehon and we could not compliment you all enough. Each staff member was excellent and every meal went out perfectly. Kelly Anns help with our sand table and the goldfish etc made the whole day so easy and without stress. The hotels attention to both Paddy and I and what we wanted was exceptional. We have had nothing but compliments from all our guests on your service, your rooms, your food, staff, everything!! The only th... Read more

My wife and I recently had a 2 night stay as part of our honeymoon. The Brehon has always been one of our favourite destinations as is Killarney in general and this trip certainly didn't disappoint either. The trip started with our room being upgraded free of charge to a most fabulous top floor suite. We dined in the Danu restaurant on the first evening and while it's perhaps on the pricey side the food is top class. Breakfast is a real treat with a loaded buffet to choose from as well as availa... Read more

Facilities are very good, nice spacious room, food was good, everywhere looked clean and tidy. Location is 15 minutes walk to Killarney, it's an easy and enjoyable walk. Well located for visiting the Killarney national park and other main tourist sights. One issue we had that I think is important for the hotel to keep on top off is the quality of the drink they serve in the bar. My wife and I had the misfortune of having two drinks each there on last Sunday afternoon, mine being Guinness, I did... Read more

Great night stay in the Brehon on the 31st of August with my boyfriend. We were delighted with the room as it was our 2nd anniversary. Bottle of wine on arrival and a box of chocolates. The beds were ace ! Also no sunlight coming through the window the next morning which made it better ! Great night's sleep. I would 100% reccomend this hotel. Perfect for a little getaway. Breakfast was top class. Well worth the money !. We will be staying with ye again. Thanks to all the staff who were so lovel... Read more

We Stayed 2 days in August. We liked the location, being slightly out of town. Although it's on a main road and we had a room at the front, it was not noisy. It was on the right side and a short distance from Muckross, which we wanted to visit. We reserved 4 bikes the night before for the trip, but next morning were told they only had 3 because one had been returned with a puncture and they had no spare inner tube! this was disappointing but we found a bike hire place just down the road where hi... I had forgotten I had stayed here before for Christmas and the atmosphere then was fantastic! On this occasion for Summertime it was buzzing and really busy! The "Failte Isteach" is real Kerry style, warm and welcoming. The staff are all lovely and plenty local staff on the team which is always great to see. The room was perfect, spotless and lovely decor with full ameneties. The bonus was the balcony and the beautiful views!! The food in the dining room is very, very nice and tasted fresh and w... This is an expensive hotel for the location. The view from our room was of other parts of the hotel building. Our bill was over $500 for two nights, with no extras except breakfast. We came here because of the rapturous reviews on Trip Advisor, and were surprised to find this hotel neither in town where all the restaurants and culture were, nor in nature where one could soak up the famous Kllarney scenery. Instead it was on major busy road with a lot of other hotels. The road was difficult to c... Read more

What a fabulous hotel- excellent, friendly, helpful staff, perfect location, great food, who could ask for more! Although the hotel was booked solid, we were never made to feel that we were delaying the staff with a request or directions. They were invariably kind and willing to offer helpful tips. The breakfasts were outstanding, the room location unbelievably beautiful, making for a wonderful trip!
