Outside is very beautiful. Inside is nice. Oir room is alright. Toilet didnt work and the ladies who work here are quite rude. Went to the bar to eat, waiting 20 minutes for someone to ask us what we would to drink, waited 20 minutes for our drinks amd food order. Than waited 20 minutes for our cheque. The spa was nicebut not worth 340 erous for 2 people. The foid is great and it is in a good location. Close to town square and different places to see.

My partner, her two boys and myself spent a wonderful night at The Brehon in May 2016. The occasion was to celebrate the communion of my partners son. He loves hotels and wanted to stay in a "nice" hotel so we took a chance on The Brehon. It turned out to be an excellent choice. It's a beautiful property with outstanding staff, excellent facilities and great food. We really enjoyed our stay. Checked in to the Brehon back in May but felt I also had to leave a glowing review as a way of thank you to all the staff we came across during our special weekend. In particular Mary O'Connell who checked us in & upgraded us to a suite on the top floor! When booking the Brehon I noted that I was going to propose to my girlfriend on the Sunday. My proposal went very well thankfully! However, our stay at the Brehon just completely blew us away, we had stayed before and I have to say that each... Read more

We had dinner in the bar on one night-no reservation needed- found it very reasonable, good menu and food of the highest standard. There's a shuttle bus service as its a bit out of town. The room was massive and I had the best nights sleep on the magical bed. Everything was really clean and breakfast was really nice (general breakfast items with hot food as well). We also got a lot of great tips and help from the front desk staff. The only cons were it is a massive hotel and it may be nice to stay in a cozier place (like a b&b) in this adorable city. It was also too cold and wet to walk to town (15-20 min walk) so we had to take cabs and it would've been nice to stay closer to t... Read more

The Brehon Hotel in Killarney does the best walk-in breakfast in Ireland and ‚??The Brehon Bar‚??, is a very popular ‚??eat and meet‚?? point for the business community and tourist alike. We stayed three nights for my best friend's wedding - from the moment we checked in to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely (massive bed, big plus!) with beautiful views, good quality toiletries (although the bathroom fittings could do with a little TLC), lots of fluffy towels and robes. My wife and I recently had a 2 night stay as part of our honeymoon. The Brehon has always been one of our favourite destinations as is Killarney in general and this trip certainly didn't disappoint either. The trip started with our room being upgraded free of charge to a most fabulous top floor suite. We dined in the Danu restaurant on the first evening and while it's perhaps on the pricey side the food is top class. Well located for visiting the Killarney national park and other main tourist sights. One issue we had that I think is important for the hotel to keep on top off is the quality of the drink they serve in the bar. We Stayed 2 days in August. We liked the location, being slightly out of town. Although it's on a main road and we had a room at the front, it was not noisy. It was on the right side and a short distance from Muckross, which we wanted to visit. Just back from spending a fabulous night in the Brehon hotel in wonderful Killarney. We took the hotel up on its offer of an upgrade to a suite and we weren't disappointed. We arrived around 330 pm. No issues with checking in and we were directed to our suite on the second floor. The decor of the hotel is first class and the reception area is very inviting with its welcoming gas fire. Our suite was lovely and spacious with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. Our upgrade included a b... Read more

Beautiful hotel inside and out, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is second to none, massive variety of food to choose from. Rooms are spotless and checked daily by staff. The hotel is close to the centre, less than 10 minutes walk. I will be back to stay again soon.

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Our group ordered the tasting menu in the Danu and it was superb. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. When we discovered we left an item behind in our room, we contacted Cliff, the housekeeping supervisor, and he provided top-notch customer service. Cliff graciously agreed to express mail our item back to the U.S. for us, and it arrived safe and sound. Next time we are in Ireland, we will certainly stay at the Brehon. I'd like to shake Cliff's hand and tha... Read more

Stayed 2 nights in The Brehon with my husband and daughter. Before going in the front door we were warmly welcomed by the door man and this attentiveness was continued by all staff throughout the weekend. They are excellent and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. On Sunday night the bar was very busy and we were told there may be a 40 minute wait. However, the Maitre D' said she would do her best to find a table for us and she promptly did! Within 10 minutes we were sitting and had a lovel... Read more

We stayed in this hotel due to my husband attending a function in the glen eagles but they had no availability and were we glad for that when we arrived. The Brechin is right next door to the glen eagles but in my view from what we witnessed is a much more superior hotel. From the moment we arrived everything was great. Check in staff were very efficient and very friendly and willing to help. Our room was massive and had everything you could think of for a luxury stay. On the Saturday my husband... Read more

This hotel was located by a lake with mountains and woods surrounded, breath- taking country view! The outdoor patio and lounge area was so inviting, especially at night, you just wanted to see down and enjoy the beauty and peace, with those lights in the dark and let your mind drifting away... This is a classic and comfortable, traditional Irish beauty! The lobby was very spacious with high ceilings, and warm, wood, country feeling. The rooms were clean and comfortable, made you feel l... Stayed Sunday and got a lovely welcome. My fiance and I went to the spa to relax before dinner and it was amazing. We had food in the bar as we were only in the mood for bar food which was excellent. Chilled out afterwards infront of the fire and enjoyed a lovely coctail the bar man whipped up for us. Breakfast was delicious and filled us up for our long walk around muckross gardens.Looking forward to my next visit.

I had no expectations of this hotel and was so pleasantly surprised. Room was spacious and quiet we got a great sleep. Breakfast had table service and a buffet which included a pancake making machine, yum. There was a five star service from every member of staff, housekeeping, reception, bar staff and restaurant staff. Reception staff gave my hubby a bowl of weetabix and a jug of milk late in the evening when my pregnancy cravings hit. The thermal suite was lovely. The hotel is so near Kilarney ... Read more

I travel quite extensively but since I don't drive location of a hotel (or its connection arrangements) is very important to me when I choose where to stay. The Brehon is an ideal combination of comfort and convenience. We didn't opt for the lake view but still the sight of the backyard and the surrounding was pleasing. Room is huge, beds slightly soft to my liking but I think this is purely personal. We booked with the hotel direct and obtained a dinner-inclusive package, which was of super... Read more

This hotel should carry 5 stars easily, staff are absolutely fantastic, welcoming, accommodating and just plain happy! We loved the layout, fantastic spacious rooms, every conceivable necessity and spotlessly clean. The bar restaurant served excellent food, everyone from Management down were hands on and couldn't do enough. Breakfasts were first class. The gym was a great call and the steam room and pool area fantastic. Only negative we tried to book a massage but were told fully booked the day ... Read more

I stayed at this hotel in February this year with my wife and baby daughter. Staff were extremely courteous and we're extremely accommodating especially with young children. Rooms are excellent and bar food was fantastic. We had booked to return this October mid term and had booked months in advance, we were really looking forward to returning and having a well earned break. Unfortunately our baby was very sick the day before we were due to arrive, and we felt it was not fair to bring her on a ... Read more

We have spent a weekend in The Brehon in November and our stay was flawless. Their breakfast menu and service is excellent and you couldn't wish for more, so is their bar food selection for the evening in case you don't feel like having dinner in Dan√ļ - their amazing restaurant. We've had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night and have to say that service provided by their staff was exceptional.
