We arrived late at night after a long flight to Ireland and driving across the whole country to get to Killarney. We received a warm and friendly welcome and we got a good hand with all our stuff (traveling with a two year old). Upon arrival we got an upgrade to a suite, which was just perfect. The room was very spacious, couch area, sleeping area (very comfy bed), big bathroom with walking shower and bathing tube; everything in good shape and enough space to reside as a young family. We spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. Our suites were very spacious (approx 60+sqm), had brilliant views and included a Nespresso machine. The hotel is ideally situated for the Ring of Kerry and fantastic Dingle peninsula with really great views. However, we were generally disappointed in the aloof staff. The one dinner we had in the Lake Room restaurant was very disappointing. We waited close to an hour for our food while the restaurant was only 1/3 full. Our steaks were nothing special but t... The staff were very personable with great attention to detail. The views from the hotel were amazing. The classic European breakfast was really good with the freshest honey I've ever eaten. The concierge was very helpful arranging our excursions.

Just about to check out after a lovely 2 night stay. Myself and my wife and 7 month old daughter came here for a quick two night stay. We try to come here 4/5 times a year for a night or 2 and it never fails to impress us. All the staff are excellent and must give a special mention to breda at breakfast and also our waiter at dinner last night. i never got his name. I would highly recommend the hotel for everyone

Very friendly, attentive welcome - utterly gorgeous view from our room and the quality of bed, sheets & pillows is still the very best I have experienced anywhere - luxurious! I enjoyed a wonderful Facial in the Spa. Thermal Suite had one or two things that couldn't be used as they were out of order, but it didn't really spoil our experience. Let's face it (literally) one is looking at Heaven On Earth with the glorious views of Kerry! Later enjoyed the most fab cocktails expertly mixed with Ir... Read more

My wife and I and our 5 yr old girl stayed Fri to Monday in late May 2016. We had a great time. We love the pool , and terrace with the most beautiful view of the lakes and the mountains . The staff are very friendly . The food is good ( not exceptional , but good) our spacious bright room faced the back of the hotel but had a large balcony -our view was still trees and greenery ( not car park ) . I recommend this hotel for families , it's child and adult friendly , relaxed , beautiful location ... Read more

My experiences at Aghadoe was pretty good and friendly the food and service was enjoyable too. But as a golf tour operator, I am reporting on my customers experiences. my customers responses is the only reason why I would recommend or not recommend a hotel. The guys enjoyed all the food services and enjoyed the interaction with all the hotel staff. I would agree that the staff were professional and friendly. The rooms were great, the guys were on the 3rd floor looking over the Killarney lakes ... Read more

I have stayed at a lot of hotels, many of them expensive, and I can honestly put this one in the top 5. The value for what you get is amazing and the service superior. Our waiter Stephen in the lounge was so great we requested him for dinner the second night after having drinks the first! The view can't be beat and the location to town is convenient while still feeling private away from the city. An east drive to the Ring of Kerry and the city centre though. The pool was wonderful and lovely to ... Read more

My partner and I stayed here for a few night just after the New Year. What should have been a really exceptional experience was ruined when a minor complaint was handled extremely badly by one of the hotel managers. The majority of the staff were locals and extremely nice and the food was very good. Unfortunately however I would not be return.

Tranquil and luxurious, with spectacular views of Killarney Park and one of the few hotels in the area with air conditioning. This is a wonderful place for total relaxation and pampering. Staff were welcoming and genuine. Don't be fooled by the outside, as the hotel interior is luxurious in an understated way and is being refurbished. (Ask for a refurbished room, top floor.) Well located for day trips around Kerry, and a short ride away from the tourist bustle of the town. Excellent breakf... Read more

Aghadoe Heights is truly a 5 star hotel. It is perfect. Everything is beautiful, from the entrance, to the hallways, to your room, to the pool, and the restaurant. It is magic. The rooms are wonderful. They are spacious, well decorated, spotless and so well maintained you would think it was a brand new hotel. There is a TV, if you want. The beds are so comfortable and the views from your room are stunning. The hotel has the most beautiful indoor pool. There is a spa right there so whatever you ... Read more

Many years ago l met my husband in Killarney and it is a place that is very dear to me. Forty years on and we decided to push the boat out and treat ourselves to a weekend in Aghadoe Heights Hotel. When we lived there it was a lovely hotel and the food was great and although a little bit more expensive we had special nights there. I was absolutely astonished to arrive and see that it had become even more special. The hotel has had a multimillion refit and can now take it's place as one of the to... Read more

From the greeting until we checked out our experience was wonderful. We were greeted with a welcoming staff and an Irish coffee. I don't think I have every been greeted in such a fashion. The surrounding views cannot be surpassed, the staff is first rate, and the rooms were spacious.

This hotel was a dream. It was a luxurious, wonderful place. The view of the lake was so tranquil and relaxing. The food was wonderful and we had a great time at the bar. The service was exceptional, some of the best we have every experienced. The best part of stay was just how relaxing it was, it was one of the best parts of our 2 week trip to Ireland. So happy we found this gem!

Myself and a friend stayed at the Aghadoe Heights for one night, on a package that included stay, breakfast and dinner; we also booked into the spa. The whole experience was just fabulous - really deserving of the five star rating the hotel has. Every single part of the stay was perfect. We were given a gorgeous room on the fourth floor overlooking the lakes; the porter was extremely polite and chatty when bringing up our bags and was extremely friendly - as was every staff member we encountered...
