The hotel receptionist was nice and helpful with directions. Our room was warm and very stuffy. Not sure when it was last cleaned well either, there was a lot of dust everywhere and what appeared to be ciggerette burns on the curtains. The bed was pretty stiff too. Breakfast was good, although not included- it was worth it, and served all of the comforts of a traditional Irish breakfast.

If you get this hotel below ‚?¨70 a night including breakfast then this hotel is great value for money. I got it for ‚?¨65 in total for 2 people with breakfast on a Friday night. If your paying anything more then look closer to the city centre. Its not really walking distance to the center (Castle) but its only 5 mins in a taxi/driving. The rooms are decent enough but the heat can become unbearable and I dont think any room has air con (at least mine didnt). The breakfast is a buffet and is go... Read more

When we first pulled into the lot of the hotel, next to.a Home shopping strip mall..we weren't too thrilled..but the room was fine..the beds and pillows super comfortable..the shower pressure EPIC...it was very clean..and rhe location proved very convienient. The guy at the front desk at reception was SO helpful and friendly. Kieran came to our rescue when we couldn't figure out how to make the shower work..not the bath...we called him about five times to ask different questions..but he never go... Read more

Because the travel agency booked this hotel for us, we had no idea what to expect. We are keen on quality, but were a bit in a shock when we arrived and discovered that the hotel was situated in a shopping/business area. The hotel and breakfast itself was not much of color or any diversity was hard to find. Clean, cool, and not special friendly or inviting. But the room was big, clean. The bathroom worked perfect and the room was done every day in time. Good HD television (we saw the European So... Read more

Great hotel, great staff, spotless, comfy clean rooms. The staff go totally out of their way to help you, nothing is a problem. They are to be admired! Safe and secure parking and plenty of it. Breakfast super, evening meals brilliant, compliments to the chef. It's a really nice place just to relax with no pressure. Have to say it again Staff are top class. Thanks to all, I will be back, Mike

Our room must have been a smoking room at one point, because the smell definitely lingered. Wish we would have stayed closer to downtown Kilkenny so we didn't have to drive each time. Staff was nice and there is a bar if you want a night cap before turning in.

Just outside of town. Paid about 12-16 euro for cabs back and forth to town. Room was clean but basic. The highway is right outside and can be heard, no view. We didn't eat. They do have a little bar which was friendly. Easy in and out and free parking. Not walking distance from anything worthwhile. Was clean.

This hotel is average. The rooms are clean, but there is no ac, so if you leave the windows open at night for air, the noise outside can be disruptive. We were glad that we were only staying one night I would not recommend the restaurant there for dinner. The food is okay, but service was poor. We were one of only three occupied tables there for dinner. A couple that arrived after us seemed to be more interesting to the waitress than us. She spent most of her time talking to them and they ... Read more

The hotel is is worn. The elevator has a broken button so they taped paper on it with a number. The carpets in the front are worn. There is no air conditioner and the room got hot fast. We were told to open the window but that caused gnats to come in and a couple at the smokers table were so loud that I heard all of the conversation from 3-4 am. Let just say I'm writing this as the sun is coming up. I'll be exhausted tomorrow. Rooms aren't bad, just hot.

I booked my trip through Ireland with Great Values and can only assume they have a deal with hotel chain. During the rest of the trip I choose my own B&B, but for the first night they had me go here...an hour and change from my arrival at Dublin, of course that's not the hotel fault... the hotel itself was non-descript. They gave me one line about breakfast not being included (which was fine) but I could order it for an extra 8 Euro each.... don't bother if this applies to you. Much better to go... Read more

We stayed here for the weekend of Rod Stewart concert: Pros: Lovely big bedrooms with tea making, ironing board and hairdryer. Complimentary newspaper available at reception. Modern bathroom with excellent shower and lovely fluffy towels. Excellent staff with friendly dispositions, nothing to much trouble, including booking and organising taxis to the concert for quite a number of guests. Fabulous breakfast, self service but scrambled eggs could be had upon request. Cereal, fresh fruit, pastrie... Read more

The hotel is decent. Our room was presentable. The shower didn't drain properly and you're only allowed 2 devices on the free wifi. The breakfast was ok. The milk for the cereal was warmer than ideal. Parking is free. It's got a few stores and restaurants nearby but isn't in city center by any means.

This was the first hotel we stayed at during our visit to Ireland and it was very disappointing. The hotel was hard to find and the exterior was very unattractive....sort of looks like a small prison. Rooms are good size but overall they are very dated and in need of renovation. There is no air conditioning and it was hard to adjust the temperature to a comfortable level. The breakfast was included and was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I've travelled all over Ireland for 20 years, stayed in B&B's, Hostels, small hotels, Luxury hotels and boutique hotels...this hotel, by far was the LARGEST room I have ever had!! I booked this due to budget constraints. I had never heard of this chain. From the moment I walked up to reception, until I checked out, it was one of the best experiences at a chain hotel in Ireland (or other countries for that matter). Helen was at the front desk ready with a smile. She had me checked in lickety spl... Read more

Stayed for two nights. Staff were so friendly. Even when they were obviously wrecked as they were on all night. I didn't get your name but thanks to the lady that served us in the restaurant on the 6th. The candle in the icecream was a lovely thought. Will definitely stay again. Can't fault it at all.

This was our first hotel booked for two nights on a 8 night Ireland trip. They were able to check us in early which was welcome after a very long day of traveling. However, the receptionist appeared really annoyed that we even asked. They gave us a handicap accessible room so we had no tub, which was fine but they did not even mention it to us when checking in. The "king bed" was two twins pushes together . Very uncomfortable. Staff throughout the stay were not helpful and disinterested in... Read more

This was our first night spent in Ireland after landing in Dublin. We had purchased a Groupon for our trip, and the Aspect was selected by our travel service. After arriving in Dublin, spending a little time there, and driving on to Kilkenny, the hotel was an oasis. It was not fancy, but very adequate. We had two double rooms which were of good size, nicely furnished, and clean. We slept like rocks! There was no continental breakfast, but the 4 members of our party had breakfast in the con... We stayed here whilst attending a wedding in the Lyrath that is about 7 mins away if that even . Taxi was 10 euro each way which the hotel ordered for us . Room was very big and clean . When we woke up we could not get over the peace and quiet. I would def recommend this hotel and stay here again.

The hotel itself is a ‚?¨10 taxi ride to town which is fine. It is one of the most basic hotels I have been to. There are no extras or any luxury included. You get your bed and that's it really. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen In a hotel. The bath was not a full size bath which didn't go down well with my partner who is 6,4.. The restaurant served food until 8.45 pm. Prices were reasonable enough and food was good.

On the SE ring road, the hotel is conveniently placed to take advantage of the town and area as long as you don't mind a short drive or a bit of a walk. Staff are always friendly, efficient and always ready to help. The decor is looking a little tired in places but the rooms are clean and practical. We chose not to eat or drink in the hotel, not because it didn't look good but we had made other arrangements. Having said this, the restaurant looks fine. The roommates are competitive and typi... This hotel is quite modern with no frills. No room safe, no refrigerator. Kettle for coffee is oddly situated and fixed wired in wardrobe. Room size is OK and mattress not the best quality but adequate. Breakfast choice and quality was quite poor. Car parking is good. Quite expensive at ‚?¨345 for three nights B & B. There is better value and quality to be had elsewhere.

This Hotel was very difficult to find as this was our first place of stay upon arriving into Ireland. We had to follow a taxi driver just to locate this hotel. The hotel was a little dated but clean. After a transatlantic flight, jet-lag, and general gathering of our bearings.. Any hotel would've been sufficient.. This location was pre-booked through our travel agency, i.e. was not chosen by me. The building had multiple cosmetic updates that were apparent throughout the grounds, staff was very helpful & friendly. Nothing was 5 star or near 5 star, but if you just need to simply rest, again I say, sufficient. Please message with any questions. Pictures are: breakfast, bar area, & looking out... Read more
