My Fiancée and I stayed here for our birthdays, both on the same day. we were in a junior suite, which was fantastic. We treated ourselves to dinner in the Pullman Resturant , i have to say it was amazing. the food and the atmosphere. it is a little on the expensive side, but it is a dining experience as well as great food.

Stayed there for a couple of nights for a friends wedding. The place is beautiful and the staff were excellent but the one thing that really annoyed me is the price that they charged you for drink varied on which bar you were in. If you were at the wedding bar, they charged you an extra 70c per pint than if you were in the cellar bar. I asked the bartender why and to be honest he was embarrassed. I am not a regular writer on trip advisor, but felt the need to after myself and my husband's recent stay at Glenlo Abbey Hotel. We returned to mark our one year wedding anniversary - we had had such a wonderful experience here for our big day that we were eager to return. Understandably our expectations were not as high coming back as "regular people" as opposed to the "bride and groom" but from when we arrived we were treated like royalty. We were greeted by Rory, the manager, who continues to... Read more

Family of 4, we wanted to book a very nice hotel to base ourselves in for 1 day of exploring the city and Salthill. A warm fire welcomes you into the reception area which was very nice after the winds of the Burren. Hotel is quaint, nice restoration with an old Victorian feel. Looking to have tea and a simple snack with the kids there isn't much choice and service was very slow. Dinner In the Pullman train, the orient express relived was disappointing, expensive small portions but you pay for ... Read more

Relaxing overnight stay at the lovely Glenlo Abbey hotel, first impression is Wow what a beautiful setting, check in was quick & amazingly friendly , what was really lovely is that the lady who checked us in also showed us to our room, which was big, bright & beautiful with the most picturesque view. Wandering around this beautiful hotel there is always something delightful to catch your eye. The Oak Cellar bar was quaint in keeping with the rest of the hotel, here the barman was very attent...
