This is a very homely and welcoming hotel. They offer a really good menu choice for evening meal and you get a great Irish breakfast. Bedroom was a really good size and very clean. The staff are all really helpful and I would happily recommend to my friends and family. Very good value hotel and the bus stops just over the road to take you into Dublin.

My wife and I spent a night in the West County Hotel recently. We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was lovely and very comfortable. It was also nice and quiet despite being close enough to a busy road. The food was good and the staff very friendly and efficient. I've actually never seen a lift like the one in this hotel before. We'll definitely be back.

We chose this hotel while vacationing in Ireland because they advertised ample parking - an item in short supply in this area. A quick jaunt from the city center, the West Count Hotel is a bit older, but perfectly comfortable hotel. Our room was very clean and had storage for our things. The bathroom had shower only, but the hot water was abundant. The area is quiet, despite being right off of R148. Americans should note the lack of a facial washcloth and a top sheet. (And an ice bucket... Read more

This is a reasonably priced hotel on the outskirts of Dublin but with easy access to the city. It is partly disguised but cannot completely hide the fact that the building itself is a rather unimpressive concrete square of the type popular in the 1960s but the interior is clean and tidy and the rooms are of a good size and well maintained with all the expected facilities. There is evidence of a recent refurbishment including extensive new carpeting. Catering is good and the menu varied to suit a... Read more

I wasn't a resident yesterday, but I had a puncture on my bike and wanted a safe place to lock my bike whilst I was legging it for a bus to get to my son for a pickup at the crèche. I asked a lovely lady at reception if I could lock my bike up out side, she kindly checked with a manager and agreed I could leave my bike inside in a store room for safety. It was a grand gesture in my eyes as I had limited time to get to by son to pick him up from crèche and the staff at the west county saved m... Read more

Room 108.When I a home I Chapelizod I stay at The West. It is a hotel I have known all my life. The staff are great although many of the old faces have moved to pastures new. The hotel is over 50 years old and has had a bedroom makeover. Tea /coffee facilities in the room.

Four of us spent a night last Saturday, brilliant staff, lovely clean rooms and delicious breakfast, couldn't ask for more. Taxi fare to city centre costs about 18-20 euro. There is a bus stop right across road from hotel.

We had our wedding here in march.Cannot compliment the staff enough especially Noreen the effort that was put in was fantastic. We had a small intimate wedding but the way they done the room up for our reception was just perfect. Noreen was so helpful anything we wanted for the day or just even if we had question she was there to help.would definetly recommend the west county lovely staff made us feel so welcome.

First impressions of the hotel exterior is a little off putting but once we stepped inside we were pleasantly surprised. Bedroom (107) was small but satisfactory and had everything we needed. Bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom was very nice and modern. Bar: Drink was pricey I was charged â?¬1.20 for a dash of miwadi. We ate food on both evenings. Menu was full of choice and it was all delious. Staff: every member of staff were lovely and friendly but would highly comend the youn... Read more
