My car was broken into while I was attending a club in this hotel. I was in the Hotel for 1hour 30 minutes. I went into the reception area and told the girl what had happened. The girl called a manager her name was Noreen. She was very unhelpful and rude and told me there was no point in ringing the Guards as they wont come! She then sent a security guard out to look at my car was also could not care less. I had to drive my car up to the nearest Garda station to which the guard said we should of... Read more

Had a delicious meal here today with a friend. The menu was very tempting and the only problem we had was deciding which dish to choose. We both had the corned beef - a very generous portion of silverside corned beef - which was served with cabbage, carrots, fluffy mashed potato, roast potatoes, stuffing and parsley sauce. There was enough on the plate to keep us going for a week. Gorgeous meal and at ‚?¨11.50 it's no wonder the place is jammed at lunch time. We even got complimentary tea or c... Read more

We stayed here for 2 night. Travel into Dublin centre was easy. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was good and we ate in the restaurant. The lady serving couldn't have been more helpful and again the food was good.

Myself and 3 friends stayed here for a long weekend. The rooms were surprisingly lovely, beds were very comfortable, our rooms were serviced everyday and towels were changed every day. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and had a good selection. This hotel is on the bus route into Dublin and buses were very regular. We will definately stay here again when we visit Dublin!

Me and 5 friends visited for a long weekend. Lovely views, handy bus stops into city centre outside hotel. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff who were very accommodating. Tasty breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Appearance looks a little outdated but only needs a lick of paint because you will be well and truly looked after and would definitely recommend staying this hotel.

Stayed here at the weekend for work, the rooms were comfortable and clean and had everything needed for comfortable stay, only downfall was that there was no bath in the room. When I asked at the desk had they a room with a bath she told me they were nearly all gone in other words I was not getting one. The breakfast was good service was quick and the older gentleman who served breakfast was a gentleman the. The bar food was very tasty and very reasonably priced service was good and quick. The o... I stayed at this hotel last week for 3 nights and found it to be very dated and dull. My room was OK, was clean, roomy, quiet and everything worked. The bathroom was extremely small. The loo area was so small it reminded me of being on a plane. The shower was very small too - I had great difficulty turning and showering. The power of the water in the shower was virtually non-existent and remained so despite my complaint on the first morning. The lifts are the old type and only worked if someo... Read more

This hotel is outside of Dublin, you need at least 15 minutes by taxi or almost half hour by bus. From outside looks like it needs some refurbishment, but once you are inside, you have same impression. Rooms are nice, spacious and new. Beds are big and comfortable. Breakfast is average, not sufficient staff, so one could wait even 15 minutes before someone will approach and serve. Wi fi was ok.. One very good thing, each room has iron!

From the outside, the hotel seems shabby and dated, but once inside we found it welcoming and comfortable. Rooms at the front look over the car park and the road towards Phoenix Park, and have a brighter aspect than rooms at the back, which are close to trees. There is some traffic noise at the front, but it's not very close. We ended up changing our room because of a problem with the shower. Although the decor and furnishings were a ittle dated, some features of the rooms have been refurb... Read more

We booked this hotel for the price and it being within reasonable reach of the city centre. On arrival to the hotel you will may be a bit dismayed at the prospect of staying here with its dated and worn facade. The lobby will not change your initial perception as it also has the dated look. But once you reach your room you will be much more inclined to smile (maybe from relief!). The rooms are recently renovated, are very clean and the bathroom is inviting. Our room faced the front which was b... Read more

Stayed here last weekend. Dubious when we pulled up as externally looks very rough and dated. the reception was nice and the welcome we got from staff was great. Room was very comfortable and clean with all you could ask for. Tv, kettle, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. We had our dinner in Liffey bar. A limited but good selection of very tasty food. The breakfast was served in dining room which is 'dated' but comfortable. the selection was marvelous. Self service for cereal, juice, fruit and ... Read more

We stayed here with a family member to re-trace some old memories. We would not have stayed here other than for this reason, but very glad we did. The hotel is an easy bus ride away from Dublin city centre, and who wants to drive into Dublin!!. The staff were fantastic, polite helpful and could not have done more. The hotel is spotless and although a little old fashioned in areas you could not find to much fault. Bedrooms are lovely and big, bright and airy, and beds were comfortable. Breakfast ... Read more

From outside this hotel looks as a normal tourist hotel, but inside it is very nice and comfortable hotel. Very friendly and nice staff at the reception, nice room. The diner on the 12. August was great. Very good food and friendly and polite staff. Breakfast on the 13. August was a little bit poorer. Another personal, not so good organised and not so friendly as their colleagues, but also not so bad.

Four of us spent a night last Saturday, brilliant staff, lovely clean rooms and delicious breakfast, couldn't ask for more. Taxi fare to city centre costs about 18-20 euro. There is a bus stop right across road from hotel.

I wasn't a resident yesterday, but I had a puncture on my bike and wanted a safe place to lock my bike whilst I was legging it for a bus to get to my son for a pickup at the crèche. I asked a lovely lady at reception if I could lock my bike up out side, she kindly checked with a manager and agreed I could leave my bike inside in a store room for safety. It was a grand gesture in my eyes as I had limited time to get to by son to pick him up from crèche and the staff at the west county saved m... Read more

This is a reasonably priced hotel on the outskirts of Dublin but with easy access to the city. It is partly disguised but cannot completely hide the fact that the building itself is a rather unimpressive concrete square of the type popular in the 1960s but the interior is clean and tidy and the rooms are of a good size and well maintained with all the expected facilities. There is evidence of a recent refurbishment including extensive new carpeting. Catering is good and the menu varied to suit a... Read more

We chose this hotel while vacationing in Ireland because they advertised ample parking - an item in short supply in this area. A quick jaunt from the city center, the West Count Hotel is a bit older, but perfectly comfortable hotel. Our room was very clean and had storage for our things. The bathroom had shower only, but the hot water was abundant. The area is quiet, despite being right off of R148. Americans should note the lack of a facial washcloth and a top sheet. (And an ice bucket... Read more

My wife and I spent a night in the West County Hotel recently. We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was lovely and very comfortable. It was also nice and quiet despite being close enough to a busy road. The food was good and the staff very friendly and efficient. I've actually never seen a lift like the one in this hotel before. We'll definitely be back.

This is a very homely and welcoming hotel. They offer a really good menu choice for evening meal and you get a great Irish breakfast. Bedroom was a really good size and very clean. The staff are all really helpful and I would happily recommend to my friends and family. Very good value hotel and the bus stops just over the road to take you into Dublin.
