Clean rooms, helpful staff, centre of Dublin, breakfast good, car park 3 mins walk. Some of the rooms are over a nightclub (not owned by Holiday inn), we were on 6th floor and could still hear the music. Would have rated excellent but for the music.

I arrived at 14 30 on Monday in order to check in for a room I had booked for 7 nights - Two security staff approached me on arrival both rude and with no Security badges and had not heard of the hundred thousand welcomes - I managed to get to the reception desk where a young lady tried to check me in with little success - again security asking questions -who was I was was I doing !! - I was told the room was not ready and to come back in two hours - not ready meaning not built - Ready !! - the... Newly opened and guys still working/snagging in the hotel. Still very comfortable and friendly staff good choice at breakfast both cooked and continental so worth a stay for central Dublin. Airport bus drops you outside and cross the raid for the return, you are on Upper O Connell and handy for the tourist trails in the city

Checked in here on the Wednesday after it has opened. Eat to get to from the airport owing to the air couch stop just outside. Check in was easy with friendly and accommodating staff. My room was immaculate with excellent wifi. Some noise from a nightclub on my second night but the air con meant I didn't need to open the window. The highlight for me was breakfast - a wonderful selection and particularly appreciated the option to use a take away mug....meant I could dash out to meetings? A great ... Read more

Just returned from 2 night stay. Hotel located on north side of Liffey but everything within walking or bus distance. Room bright and spacious with a great power shower. We were pleasantly surprised with breakfast, although it was busy on the Saturday morning and only one coffee machine working, but the staff worked really hard replenishing breakfast and clearing tables etc.. We heard noise from the bar but earplugs and a few drinks helped us sleep through - hotel seem to be aware of noise and I... Read more

Indeed the rooms are very nice, brand new, comfortable, clean, everything worked. A safe, a kettle with tea/coffee in the room, no fridge. Stayed 6 nights, Wifi worked very well, staff very friendly. But I found the outside noise troubling. Front side faces a very busy road, and in the room it was a lot of noise. I asked for a room at the back, where there was not much traffic noise, but there is a bar/night club next door Mon-Wed it was quiet around 23:00, but Thu-Sun it went on till late in th... Read more

I booked this hotel as my husband is very picky about hotel cleanliness ( he looks after several hotels in U.K.) This had not been my first choice, I changed day before we traveled as the location was more suited to our needs. On arrival the Reception Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, we were on the 6th floor Good security, easy to use safe. Large shower. Comfy bed. Breakfast was also lovely, i requested dairy free milk, this was provided quickly. I would stay again.

Stayed here one night after returning to Dublin from Galway before heading home the next day. Reserved with points. Brand new having opened only two weeks before our stay, taxi driver didn't even know it existed. Overall a very modern, updated feel. Bright lights and colors. Large lobby that also contained a small bar area and the breakfast area. Helpful staff. Strange design to get to the elevators as there are a few steps to go up before going through a door requiring key card access to get to... Read more

Rooms were over and above what we required, ironing board and iron already in the room-also spotted a sign in the bathroom saying if we had forgotten items such as a toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo, razors etc, that the reception can provide these with compliments. Very Modern Room, bed was comfy also. Breakfast was the best I have had in any hotel. We arrived down 15 minutes before it was meant to finish, and everything was still widely available, even thoug... Having recently stayed in holiday inn express, acton, london which we were very impressed with, I was delighted to see a new opening in dublin. It was exactly as I expected - same format as london which works so well. Great location, friendly staff, lovely big room with pristine bathroom and shower (only fault I would find in the room is the lack of a chair to sit on). Breakfast is excellent, every taste is catered for, especially love their fruit compote and yogurt and fresh croissants. Coffee ... Read more

The hotel is handy to most of the Tourist attractions and also to the DART. Henry and Grafton Streets are great shopping areas and we walked to both. We were impressed with the Manager and Staff having a voluntary Fire Drill which showed us that the safety of their guests is a priority. We highly recommend this Hotel.

Stayed last night and although an issue not of their making (road works outside all night) I would highly recomend this hotel. My first room faced the front and i was really impressed with the size, layout and facilities ( loads of plugs, sockets for USB) at 1am when the drilling started, luckily they had another room and moved me! If I could give this hotel more than 5 out of 5 I would. What a great hotel. Beautifully spotless room which was cleaned daily. The rooms are a credit to the housekeeping staff. The breakfast at the hotel was beautiful. Plenty of choice. I was even able to get soya milk which was fantastic as I am allergic to cows milk. There was free wifi and tablets in the lobby area so that you could surf the internet. We loved the hotel and can't rate it highly enough. The hotel is just a very short walk fro... Read more

I stayed in The Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Centre on Tuesday the 8th of November. It's situated at the top of O'Connell Street near Parnell Street which is ideal for city centre. It's brand new, very clean and secure. This hotel has just opened (Oct 2016) and is amazing. Great nice rooms, sleeps very well and is approx 2-3 km from down-town. Bus stop in front of hotel, taxi 8-12 Euro. Bus line 747 from and to the airport stops in front of the hotel as well (every 15 minutes). Breakfast is basic, but what they serve is high quality. I paid 125 EURO incl breakfast and thats a good deal in (expensive) Dublin. Service from frontdesk and hotel is really great. Highly recommended.

The hotel is newly opened in Oct 2016 and is located at O'Connell St. If you arrive at DUB (either T1 or T2), you can take Dublin bus #747 which has a stop in front of the hotel or Air Coach #700 which also has a stop within one minute walk to the hotel. The travel time ranges from 20 - 40 minutes depends on your arrival time. You can take the same bus back to airport where the stops are at the opposite of the street you get off. I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express many times in the US, so I thought I knew what to expect here, but I was wrong. This is a very new hotel, so I was unpleasantly surprised to find that the room was much smaller than I would expect for a new hotel, and from one in this chain. I have stayed in smaller rooms before, but usually in older hotels. The worst part of the room was the fact that there was no wardrobe and no drawers of any type. This is a brand new hotel located at O'Connell street, close to The Spire and to lots of restaurants and shops. The room is not big, but has enough space for a couple. Comfortable bed and two options of pillows. There's free wi-fi that works very well in the whole hotel. The breakfast is included in the room rate and has good options (mainly if you like Irish breakfast, but it's also good if you don't care about it). The staff is very polite and helpful.

This fab new hotel is right in the heart of Dublin on O'Connell street. We had corner room 431 with great views down to the Liffey. Everything is still brand spanking new and clean. Good service. This is a lovely new property conveniently placed in central Dublin. Everything is brand spanking new and works well. The room has everything one needs with scads of power points ( I counted 8 in the room). We were welcomed by a friendly young man in a bright and light reception. Our room was reasonably spacious and we really admired the feature where a wall to floor mirror conceals the ironing board, iron, and hairdryer.
