We stayed in the Gibson for one night, we were in Dublin for a concert in the 3Arena, the hotel is so convenient for anyone attending the 3Arena. We had a double room which cost ‚?¨274. Firstly, the room was fine; clean and of decent size. The bathroom amenities were basic(those diminutive bottles for shampoo are, I think, awful) the shower, while spacious and modern, had no power in it. We met some friends in the bar for food before going to the concert (the dining room was fully booked) . The... Read more

I booked the Gibson for 26/05/2016 as we were going to a concert at the 3 Arena. I phoned the hotel on the day to confirm our booking and advise of approx arrival time. We were in a taxi on our way to the hotel at 17.35 when I got a phone call from hotel reception to say they could not accommodate us. DISBELIEF!! Apparently this rarely happens. However, I am happy to say that the Gibson has an A1 Customer Service policy. We were not left stranded but were out booked to the much less convenient b... Read more

I checked in as four people in two rooms, at the same time! Two of us were offered an up grade to the sixth floor because it was their first time at the hotel. Hotel is ultra modern and the rooms are great , if you like a bath rather than a shower then you need to book one of the more expensive rooms as standard rooms have only a shower cubicle. Stayed two nights here as part of a tour of Ireland. Not the hotel I would pick for a holiday, so that colors my review somewhat. Disappointed that the hotel is rather outside of town in an industrial area, so no views or ambiance. While the hotel is named after the popular Gibson guitar, not a single guitar in sight. Nevertheless, the hotel is clean and rooms are nice sized, especially for Europe, and beds were firm . Atmosphere is somewhat sterile, though and that carries forward into the ... Read more

I've never stayed in The Gibson but I've dined here on few occasions. Friends of ours have stayed there, others live right by it and it's beside the '3 Arena' hence why we've been there a number of times. I get the hotel is modern and it's going for that whole modern minimalist look however the effect is that it's always cold and breezy and it ends up feeling like an airline hanger. Despite its attempt to be a bit funky with a vaguely rock'n'roll flavour, this is a basic businessperson's hotel, but not unattractive. Situated in the not finished Point Village district, it will be a bit lonely out there till the rest of the development catches up. Still, it is right on top of the light rail system so getting into the city is pretty easy. Dining is a bit uninspiring , but at least they're trying to make it something interesting. More work required, folks. When we stayed there... Read more

We stayed at the Gibson last Saturday night, the whole experience was amazing, service and front office staff were excellent - polite, well presented and efficient. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant. I cant wait to go back there. Bedrooms were spacious, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean.

After doing a lot of research on hotels in Dublin I found this Gem. The was the perfect retreat for our long weekend exploring Dublin. Don't be concerned about the location, it was perfect. The tram stop is outside the front door and it takes 5 minutes to reach the centre. We actually stopped each morning to grab breakfast in a fab place a couple of minutes away (Fresh Bakery) The hotel itself is fab, if you like modern/trendy hotels then this is the place. It has a great scene, no stag or ... Read more

We attended a friends wedding in the hotel on Saturday 30th of July last. We also stayed overnight in the hotel. Our room was awesome. Clean, modern and spacious. I have to say that the bed in our room was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The wedding went really well. The room was lovely and the hotel staff did a great job. Breakfast the next morning was yummy. All in all, a nice stay in a great hotel.

We came for our third stay in this lovely hotel. It is friendly welcoming and has excellent spacious very comfortable warm bedrooms. There is a full buffet breakfast in the morning and the newspapers. There is very secure spacious car parking with lift access to the hotel. There is a reduced rate charge for this. We shall certainly return.

Stayed here for one night... Very ikea ... The room was quite big, clean and airy... The bed was very comfortable and the air con was easy to use... No conditioner in the bathroom, poor enough. The hotel feels very much an airport hotel really, wouldn't be gone on it for the price. The breakfast wasn't that exciting, not much choice. The staff were very friendly :-)

We spent three night in this hotel on our trip to Ireland. The staff is wonderful and very welcoming. They took care all of our needs such as print airline tickets, keeping our bags while sightseeing and while we were out of town with no extra fee. The hotel is located a bit far from the city center but it is served by the airlink bus that comes from the airport and stop at the hotel door as well the LUA red line. The stop for both is call the point. Our room was very clean and the ambiance is v... Read more

This is a modern hotel on the outskirts of Dublin city centre. It is clean, comfortable and beautifully designed. It has all of the conveniences you would expect, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For me the only downside is that it is a bit of a trek to city centre, but once you know that the hotel is a great choice and there is a tram stop right outside. It possesses ample and convenient parking so really should not complain.

Very modern hotel, with a great location. You're far enough away from the center of town that you're not dealing with crowds and noise, but you have the tram right in front of the hotel that gets you to the city center in 5-10 minutes. We really felt the hotel staff went the extra mile. Every day, they placed a plate of green apples in the elevator bank for everyone to enjoy. One day they even offered wild flowers for you to take back to your room. I liked the open design of the bathroom, except... Read more

Stayed there for the RnR Half Marathon, and not only because it is so close to the start line, it is the perfect hotel for that event. My room was very nice and breakfast was good. Stayed here whilst in Dublin on family business. Hotel was very good and the staff excellent. Rooms were a bit too sterile and didn't have a warm inviting feeling like some more traditional hotels do in Dublin. Was a bit disappointed at night, both nights we stayed there was a function on. I don't have an issue with hotels doing private functions but I do have a problem when noisy drunk guests start to affect the hotel residents as the did to my and my girlfriend. I was really looking forward to staying in the Gibson as it is a fantastic looking modern hotel but the staff badly let it down. Check-in and check out were fine but everything in between left something to be desired. Shortly after check in I went to the bar to have a bite to eat but no one came near us for a solid 10 minutes despite at least one female staff member wandering around aimlessly with a try. I agree with the majority of the other reviews of The Gibson; its new, chic, clean and the rooms are great. Our kids had a courtyard view, and we had an outstanding sixth floor room with a balcony overlooking the water and South Dublin. On the flip side, its location is a bit of drawback. The Point area of Dublin will be a great destination in the future, but it's not a draw yet, and the time and money spent on the tram was a negative. As far as layout and design I don't think that I have ever stayed in a better place. Spacious room, excellent temperature control, and very quiet. I really liked my spacious (double) room, with the only drawback being the unusually narrow single beds, which almost made me afraid to fall out when turning in my sleep.
