Excellent service as always, i recommend this hotel to anyone that loves a comfortable sleep in an airy room with an excellent variety for breakfast & a Luas stop outside the door to access the city centre.the staff are so friendly & helpful. We stayed in the Gibson for one night, we were in Dublin for a concert in the 3Arena, the hotel is so convenient for anyone attending the 3Arena. We had a double room which cost ‚?¨274. Firstly, the room was fine; clean and of decent size. The bathroom amenities were basic(those diminutive bottles for shampoo are, I think, awful) the shower, while spacious and modern, had no power in it. We met some friends in the bar for food before going to the concert (the dining room was fully booked) . The... Read more

I booked the Gibson for 26/05/2016 as we were going to a concert at the 3 Arena. I phoned the hotel on the day to confirm our booking and advise of approx arrival time. We were in a taxi on our way to the hotel at 17.35 when I got a phone call from hotel reception to say they could not accommodate us. DISBELIEF!! Apparently this rarely happens. However, I am happy to say that the Gibson has an A1 Customer Service policy. We were not left stranded but were out booked to the much less convenient b... Read more

We stayed at the Gibson Hotel for 4 nights during our honeymoon. The staff was amazing and accommodating. I had emailed the staff prior to our arrival to check and see if there was early check in or if they'd hold our bags until a room was available, the response time was quick. We arrived in the early mornings be they had a room already available. Room was clean and comfortable! This is a great hotel! No argument there! The rooms are clean, modern and we had a shared balcony! The staff are friendly but don't seem to be trained in the hotel practice well! I checked in as four people in two rooms, at the same time! Two of us were offered an up grade to the sixth floor because it was their first time at the hotel. It was ours to but we got no such upgrade! Odd practice! During breakfast it would be nice if the person coming over to take you order would return with it (toa... Read more

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Stayed for 3 nights in a twin room for a short weekend break with my friend. Hotel spotless and very modern. Excellent staff, food and drink. 10 minute bus to centre. As the luas isn't on at the moment it's a free bus service. Would love to stay here again if I'm ever back in Dublin.

We've just returned from a weekend stay at the Gibson for my 60th birthday and had a lovely time. The hotel, although a little out of town,is adjacent to the 3 arena, and has reasonably priced food and drinks in the restaurant which has a balcony with river views. Stayed 2 night's at the Gibson bit out of town at the point village. Hotel is ultra modern and the rooms are great , if you like a bath rather than a shower then you need to book one of the more expensive rooms as standard rooms have only a shower cubicle. The bed is large and had firm mattresses which I liked but other half didn't, rooms are cleaned and well maintained. Food is pretty decent and drinks reasonable for a hotel. It's located in the financial district. It's a clean, minimalistic/zen-like new hotel and about 30-40 minutes walking distance to the downtown Dublin area. I love the huge living wall filled with plants!! There is a 6 Euro shuttle that stops by the Gibson and about 10 minutes away a bus central. Within 10-15 minutes walking there are nearby restaurants and very good bakeries. safe travels!

Stayed two nights here as part of a tour of Ireland. Not the hotel I would pick for a holiday, so that colors my review somewhat. Disappointed that the hotel is rather outside of town in an industrial area, so no views or ambiance. While the hotel is named after the popular Gibson guitar, not a single guitar in sight. Nevertheless, the hotel is clean and rooms are nice sized, especially for Europe, and beds were firm . Atmosphere is somewhat sterile, though and that carries forward into the ... Read more

We stayed at the hotel as we were going to a gig that evening in the 3 Arena. Check in was fine, staff were very friendly. We went to the bar downstairs to have a drink and there was no tables, which was fine. When a group left we proceeded to their empty table which had been cleaned off, only to be told by a member of staff that the table was reserved, but there was no reservation signs on it, I don't mind that it was reserved, but the staff member was a bit rude about it, effectively then we d... The receptionist (Avatar I believe) was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived an hour or two before official check in time. We stayed in the Gibson again recently when attending a show at the Bord Gais Theatre. On other occasions we attended concerts in the 3 Arena and what is brilliant about this hotel is the location. What I love about being a resident is the fact that you can leave jackets and belongings behind in the hotel and literally walk 100 metres to the door of the venue. I've never stayed in The Gibson but I've dined here on few occasions. Friends of ours have stayed there, others live right by it and it's beside the '3 Arena' hence why we've been there a number of times. I get the hotel is modern and it's going for that whole modern minimalist look however the effect is that it's always cold and breezy and it ends up feeling like an airline hanger. But to get back to the restaurant all I can say is that it's pretentious and therefore atrocious. The service i... Read more
