I stayed for one night and it was very convenient.. The air coach stops directly in front of the hotel..and the Luas stop to the city center is five minutes walk .. The room was spacious and nicely decorated .. I imagine recently refurbished.. Large TV, good free wifi...well lit bathroom While I did not use the bar or restaurant they looked very inviting .. I would recommend.

After a 21 hour trip from Puerto Rico to Dublin, I wanted to get to my room to sleep but the construction would not let me sleep. They said there would be noise until 6 pm. So I went to eat something at the restaurant but the food was expensive and the taste wasn't that great. On the three days I was there, the soap wasn't replenished so I had to use the emergency soap I always carry. I will likely try to find a different place to stay next time.

The hotel was selected for me for a business function. All I can say is you get what you pay. The hotel is more like a motel in quality and style. when I checked in the clerk was very nice but I asked for a quiet room as high as possible - she put me on the 2nd floor directly facing a big construction site. I also asked what restaurants were in walking distance and they said there was just 1 - so not convenient (I asked because they said they couldn't seat me in the hotel restaurant that eve... This hotel is perfectly located for business trips to Central Park or South Dublin. The hotel has good sized rooms which are clean and tidy. The breakfast is excellent and good value for money. The bar is welcoming and serves a good range of beers and food. The hotel is served by the Air Coach from Dublin Airport which is currently ?10 each way. I'd recommend this hotel and will stay again.

Very good hotel south of Dublin with direct access to the airport by means of a shuttle bus (which goes via the city centre) that terminates at the hotel. The rooms are very nice and well-maintained. The staff complement is large and did not meet one who was not helpful or amenable. Breakfast variety is one of the best I have ever seen.

So firstly I will admit I made a mistake booking this hotel. I tried to rectify this mistake through as I intended to stay at a different Clayton Hotel. I was originally booked in for 3 nights, called and arranged for me to stay for one night and then switch to the intended hotel. Upon arrival at this hotel I confirmed this at the check in desk, and then again as I checked out, with a bill for one night in my hand. When I returned home I had been billed for two nights. Afte... Have eaten lunch here with work colleagues. Quality varies, the soup used to be lovely, the last couple of times it has been tepid. I brought it back & they reheated it in the microwave. They put it back into the original bowl. I didn't have time to go up again so now no longer order soup. The service staff at the counter don't know how a queue system works & unless you mention you are next they can skip over to the next person. The bar service is so slow & difficult in the evening I refuse to ... Read more

Returned to this hotel recently and was hugely impressed by "everything ". The reception staff, particularly Valentina, I hope I have that right, were super helpful. No delay in checking in and really pleasant and helpful. The rooms on the 5th floor are very nice, comfortable and of course spotlessly clean. The bathroom unfortunately is quite small but still very adequate. The self service breakfast has everything that you might fancy and the staff here are very friendly and pleasant also. Compl... I stayed here for five nights and really enjoyed every moment of the experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they made me feel quite at home. Breakfast was a great spread, not too many choices but what is there is high quality and very fresh. I loved the honey comb option and the selection of cereals. The cooked breakfast was always fresh. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and friendly especially our new friend Rubel!

The food really good quality and great selection, the beds and room really cosy, clean and quiet and the hotel is perfectly located to town (on the tram (across the road)) and to the airport (by bus right outside the door!)...its also really handy to my mums house (up the road!!). Very short stop overnight, arrived late and chose room service over restaurant only because it had been a long day. Food excellent as was the service, bed comfortable. All equipment, tv, iron etc worked which was lucky as I hadn't packed my shirt very well. For a business stop over it was ideal and would certainly consider it for a longer stay some time.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on our Trafalgar tour. The room was a good size and had all the amenities that we needed. The breakfast was good. We also had dinner here one night and it was lovely. No aircon in the room, so was a bit warm. Could open the window slightly but a lot of traffic noise. It was a bit far out of the city however there is a train stop within easy walking distance so no problems getting around.

The hotel is fine for a business traveler -- I was staying there for work in an office nearby, but my mother decided to go stay with her friend since she was on holiday and the room is spartan for such a visit. Fine for me, returning from the office in the evening and wanting just to relax with good wifi and plenty of outlets for recharging. I returned to this hotel for the first time since it had been taken over by the Clayton group and found it under refurbishment but better overall and much less drab and grubby looking. Our room had obviously been recently renovated and was clean and comfortable with a great view. Breakfast was much better, the food and choices were better quality and the reception staff friendly. Still that ten euro parking charge though but very handy for the Luas into town.

There is a fresh approach now under the new ownership. Our meal was in the top quality bracket for a hotel which is aimed at a particular market segment. Decent hotel I'll be coming back to. They are gradually refurbishing so certain floors have much newer furniture and fittings. If you get an older room it looks pretty well worn and the TV reception is terrible, but they keep it clean and comfortable which is the most important thing. Great hotel with nice restaurant (+breakfast). Service is good. Employees show themselves available. Bar is nice. Restaurant gave us the possibility to have a BBQ on the terrasse which was really nice to have. Rooms are quite big and luxious. Cleaning is good.

I have stayed here numerous times, and will continue. Lovely hotel, cosy bar, and extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially bar staff! Just a few minutes from the Luas. Cannot fault it. Keep it up!

My friends and I stayed here when we went to the Longitude festival. We booked this hotel on a credit card and paid the full amount. The average age of our party was 18. When we turned up on the Saturday, the room wasnt ready and we were kept waiting for an hour and a half. The staff were rude and talked down to us so badly that one of the receptionists told me to 'get the passport of the liar'......meaning my friend, because she implied that he had lied about how many we were in the room eve... I was appalled at how expensive this hotel was for such basic facilities. Reception was under staffed, it took half an hour to check out. The hair dryer was very cheap and useless, for the price I would have expected biscuits with the coffee. The kettle was broken, the tv didn't work properly and to add insult to injury, there was no pen to fill out the feedback card. Oh the irony. Premier Inns are much better value for money.

I booked a Non-Smoking room and by entering the room it was clear that this was a smoking room (despite all the non smoking signs). Changing not possible and also no willingness to take the complain serious. Needed to fly out early - no possibility to get early breakfast....(they call it 24h room service here). They needed 20 min for check out and called the wrong taxi for me (i booked the evening before at the reception) Never again...4 Stars? Thats a joke

The public areas of the hotel are nice. The room stank of smoke, reported twice in check in to no resolution. Later in the night had scented water sprayed in the room to no effect. The management staff at all times wanted to dismiss the issues raised. The bathroom light was/is dodgy and the shower was severely damaged and caused water to spray everywhere making a normal shower impossible. A $5 hostel in South America would have better facilities and service.

Rooms are spacious, clean and up to date. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very close to public transportation. Rooms facing the road is noisy however curtains definitely block out some of the noise. No food establishments close to hotel so only option is restaurant or bar in hotel. Food at hotel restaurant is okay and expensive. Servers need to be more attentive to clients as ours was genuinely disinterested - restaurant was not busy and it took a while to place order and get

The Clayton is well located for Dundrum and surrounding area, Luas very close for access into Dublin city centre. Air coach from airport stops outside hotel. Rooms a decent size and well enough appointed as was bathroom. Downstairs facilities very good, spacious seated area, well appointed and large bar with books to browse. Breakfast decent and well priced. Staff friendly and helpful. Generally modern style overall. If location suits in future will definitely stay again.

Well located close to the main Dublin ring motorway as well as public transport links to the city, the Clayton us very welcoming and provides excellent accommodation for both business and leisure. I particularly recommend their breakfast buffet where I enjoyed some of the best coffee of any hotel! I would definitely stay again if I am lucky enough to work in the area.

Stayed there for 3 weeks for business meetings. Very average, for my opinion it was too expensive for its value. British breakfast, nice bed, clean shower, nice staff and expensive room service & bar.

Second stay here for sporting competition near by. No complaints. Room functional, but warm and clean. Main areas pleasant. Bar has some ok drinks. Several eating out options near by at walking distance. Value depends on how much you pay. Good car park. Easy access from motorway. Kia's stops very close by.

We stayed two nights with Trafalgar Tours, were well looked after and pleased with the room, service, food and facilities. This is a large, modern hotel with international standards of accomodation and service with a sports bar, handy cafe and restaurant that served hot & cold buffet breakfasts including GF items. Our rooms were large, clean & comfortable, quiet at night and wifi was good. This hotel has great facilities for business travellers with a floor of meeting rooms available. Location i... Read more

This hotel was in a great location for my business trip. After reading reviews, I reserved one of the newly refurbished rooms - well worth the upgrade. It was comfortable and clean. My rate had breakfast included, and the food was quite good. However, I would rate the service as subpar. First of all - in the restaurant, I felt like I was imposing each time I asked for coffee - the wait staff seemed to act as if I was bothering them. The front desk service was also less than stellar - excep... Read more

I work in the business park attached to the Clayton and it is a great alternative to centra and munchies for a sandwich to go. The staff are friendly and helpful. A nice touch is the hand full of crisps they include with your sandwich. It is priced competitively at ?4.50. There tends to be less queues than in its competition so if your in a hurry, this is the place for you.

Firstly, this hotel is convenient for the bus to Dublin airport and for employees of Sage and Salesforce, they're right across the street. The lobby has plenty of seating and has two bars. Bizarrely one the bars closes at 11, meaning that as a resident you have to move into the lobby area, which loses atmosphere. Doubly as bizarre the kitchen closes early so if you're a business traveller who rocks up after 10 pm, you'd better have eaten on the way. This is another weird practice that I've f... Read more
