The Clayton Hotel was great for our brief stay near the airport. It is a busy place, but has a shuttle to the airport! They were very kind to let us check in a little early too so we could rest after a long day at the airport of missing flights!

Airport hotels, by the very nature of the niche market they serve, are designed to make life easy for those using the airport -- which generally means business travelers. As such, they generally (1) are far from anything except the airport -- meaning a sterile and soul-less environment, (2) get you to & from the terminals quickly and easily, (3) seek to relax the guests jarred just long flights -- meaning they are bland, (4) have amenities suited for airport users, and (5) have good value for th... We had a lovely server in the bar for our last Irish meal. Her name was Rebecca. She was very busy, but managed to keep her smile and make sure everyone was kept happy. I enjoyed a plate of my 3 favourite Irish cheeses. Wexford Cheddar, Cashel Blue and One from Cork.....that I can't seem to spell right. We also had a good chat with the manager Josef. He has learned the gift of Irish gab! We are looking forward to our Irish breakfast in the morning.

This is a GREAT place to stay if you have an early morning flight! The shuttle bus leaves every 20 minutes, and the hotel is equipped with a cafe, a restaurant, and a bar! And the staff at the front desk were VERY helpful and informative! I HIGHLY recommend Clayton Hotel to anyone with early morning flights!

Stayed here for one night, nice room and easy to get to the airport. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Unfortunately we had an issue with noise from a band in the foyer bar on the night we stayed. That said the manager on shift the next morning dealt with my complaint really well and did exactly what she said she would do, keeping me informed along the way. I would definitely recommend here for an airport stop over or a few nights in Dublin and will stay again.

Stopped here for one night having arrived at Dublin airport before a trip further on in Ireland. Can't fault it one bit, arrived early expecting to have to wait to find all our rooms already ready so we were able to drop our cases and go. We were told especially all the rooms were on the 'newly renovated' 5th floor. Very impressed with the rooms with wonderful comfy bed, tea & coffee, safe, room for luggage and modern design bathroom. Great hotel and always seems to have a buzzing atmosphere. Bar is contemporary with lots of seating and the food is great. Bedrooms are spacious and very quiet given its close proximity to the airport. There is a free airport shuttle running every 15 minutes and also the added advantage of a supermacs and papa johns directly across the road.

On the final day of a two-week trip around Ireland, my wife and I needed a place to stay before flying home. We got a great rate on the Clayton Hotel and it really fit everything we were looking for. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel bar was exactly what we were looking for.

We stayed 1 night prior to returning home from Ireland in June 2016. The Clayton is your typical airport hotel with all the necessary amenities - bars, restaurants, coffee shop and large communal areas. Check-in was quick and efficient, plenty of on-site parking and the room was spacious and well appointed. Food was reasonably priced and portion size adequate. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. This is the perfect hotel if you have the low end of average standards, a gaggle of kids, or just need a place to lay your head for the night in a pinch. This hotel is thoughtful, clean, with friendly staff, and nicely appointed. Very close to the airport with a free shuttle that goes every 15-20 minutes. (Most of the hotels I have stayed at in Europe have had a airport shuttle, but it has cost just as much as a taxi - so this was nice!) I stayed here at the end of a three week vacation on a 10h layover and am so glad I did! It was absolutely one of the nicest hotels (airport or not) that I have stayed in. always stay here when we are flying from Dublin airport. The staff are always friendly, the rooms are lovely and so is there food, except for the first time we had dinner there, both my mam and I ordered spicy chicken which came with potato cubes and rice, but the menu didn't mention that the potatoes and rice were spicy too, it wasn't very enjoyable when your mouth is on fire. despite that we always enjoy our stay here.

The hotel was good overall. We sat at the bar and ate dinner, the scene was very active, many locals were gathered watching a football match. Girish was our bartender and he was great! I cannot comment on the breakfast, as we left at 4am to catch a flight, on the hotel courtesy bus, which runs 24hrs. You can avail of a coffee and a snack, thanks to a little take away cafe in the foyer of the hotel, at this time of the morning. There are two things they do not emphasize on their website : (1)The place is not air conditioned and you can only open the room window a fraction. I and my family felt like we were suffocating. (2) As if that were not enough the hotel likes to hold "functions" - which on the Saturday we were there included a band whose driving bass beat reverberated throughout our side of the building until 12:30 AM. A stay at this place is not a holiday, it is a sentence.

The last time we stayed here it was Bewleys hotel, but apart from the name change everything else is the same. Which is not a criticism; it provide comfortable accommodation close to the airport for early departures or late arrivals. The only complaint I would have is that on arriving late (after11pm) the only food choice available to us was pizza; there was no other option, not even a sandwich. After visiting Ireland we stayed at the Dublin Airport Clayton because we had an early departure flight the next morning. It's an excellent modern hotel, and our upper floor room was light, comfortable, and good-sized. We had a very good evening meal in the bar, but the service was disappointing. We went through four different servers. The first two disappeared - possibly reassigned to the restaurant. The facility was busy, but it appeared to be understaffed. If it weren't for that, I'd gi... The Clayton is not cheap - or that close to Dublin Airport. If it were cheap and not that close to the airport, then maybe our stay would have been acceptable. But it's not. We waited 20 minutes for the free shuttle bus at Dublin Airport at 11pm. Arrived at The Clayton, and were met with a check-in manager who looked like he was on death's door - and had the personality to match...sloppy, sniffly, moody. I stayed here twice, on my arrival and before the departure from Dublin. It was a good choice: close to the airport, the shuttle is frequent, free and brings you straight to the hotel or to terminal 1. Rooms are quite large, comfortable and services are ok. I do recommend if you arrive late or if you have to leave early in the morning. Huge hotel close to airport - which is the primary reason anyone would stay here. Check in was fine and room was pretty standard. No a/c so you need the windows open for any airflow. Decor is beige, beds are adequate and the bathroom was small but had all the essentials. Great shower pressure but temperature jumped around a bit and water was slow to drain away. Our arrival started off well, with the car park recognising our number plate and allowing access to the well secured, amply proportioned, under ground car park. Unfortunately, this took a downward turn as we made our way to the lobby. The noise level was deafening. There was staff training on going, so I waited patiently, and allowed the staff members to sort out my booking; such a shame that it took multiple attempts to program the key cards before one (and only one) would actually unlock ... Had a late meeting in Dublin so wanted an airport close to the airport. Arrived late and needed to eat, which was no problem. Good choice and great steak. Service correct but not very personal. Rooms are very standard but comfortable beds. Had difficulties sleeping due to aircraft noise and very warm in the room, did not find the airco control. Breakfast OK but quite standard. All in all an OK place to stay, a bit expensive for what they offer but what can you expect at an airport. Really not... Read more

Good location , 10 mins from DUB airport by the free shuttle bus (our trip was 5 mins as Mikka Hakkinen was driving) Warm and efficient check in, good sized and clean room... but the "buts", are it is incredibly noisy!

Beautiful, quiet and clean.Perfect after long haul flight. The irish breakfast was ridiculously over priced. Quick shuttle bus to and from the airport, taxi and bus outside to go into the city. Perfect place to stay with kids.

We stayed here as it was close to the airport and has a free shuttle, so it is perfect if you are coming from outside Dublin for an early flight. They also have park and fly packages which seem to be good value. The hotel had everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the rooms are huge! We had 3 beds in our room, and lots of space, plus free wifi. The bathroom was great too. Overall, great value for money and highly recommended, and I will stay here again.

My partner and I stayed here for a night on 2nd November 2016. The outside of the hotel looks a bit gloomy but the foyer inside is brightly lit and impressive. The staff were friendly enough on check in and we went to our room on the second floor, room 231 I believe. The room hadn't been cleaned. The beds were unmade, there was half eaten food and rubbish everywhere. I asked a Russian (?) maid in the corridor about this and she took out her phone. I assumed she was calling to fix the problem ... Read more

The room and hotel were marginally clean and in need of refurbishing - marks on walls, chipped sink, carpet stained. The front desk staff were marginally helpful - twice the key did not work to the room so we had to return to the lobby and then the room to wait for a serviceman to come reset the keypad. The room was not a two double bed room we booked online but a double with two twin beds. When we came back from a long day of site seeing and ordered a late snack. The advertised meal did not... We stayed at this hotel on our way to Italy and on our way home. The service was great and it was very easy to find their shuttles to the airport! Milli at the front desk on our 2nd stay was more than welcoming! We even had our room upgraded and she got me my fan to sleep with :) Even if it was freezing here! I am very pleased and would recommend this hotel.

This is the 1st time we have used this hotel. Everything was going really well from being upgraded to an executive room on arrival to a great nights sleep. However, when we went to get the hotel shuttle bus for an early flight the hotel went down a snake. It was 4.45am and it was freezing outside. The bus was there so we ran out of the hotel to catch it only to be met with a long line of people and luggage. Needless to say we did not get on the bus and at least 25 people were left to stand in ... Read more

We stayed here before and after our holiday in the Algarve and enjoyed our stay. Had booked a one night stay and a weeks car parking well in advance and got a great value special offer! However due to airline schedule change I needed to book additional overnight stay & extra days parking. Also changed car in the interim so expected all sort of complications but the very helpful & pleasant check-in receptionist was extremely efficient & I was in my beautiful 6th floor room in minutes. Nice Hotel very close to Dublin Airport. The hotel was very busy when we were checking in due to a cancelled flight but the check in process was fast. The room was clean and had everything you would expect in a normal hotel room. Unfortunately they were not able to provide a crib at short notice (I had forgotten to put it on my booking so my own fault). However when I rang the front desk twice to request one, they said they would check if one was available but did not ring back to let us know... Read more

Just home from another great stay in The Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport. We booked the park and fly 8 day package on a room only basis as we had a very early morning flight. We were very impressed from start to finish. On arrival reception staff were very helpful, they even reserved a table for dinner for us, and the food was fantastic, we ordered the 2 course special and it was most enjoyable, the wine we ordered complimented the food, and our server was a warm friendly chap. Have stayed in this hotel several times either when going on holiday or coming back. There is a free bus that runs to and from airport every twenty minutes so no need for taxies. Check-in can be busy at times but normally doesn't take to long. Rooms are nicely furnished the last time we stayed there room 323 the mattress was very soft and had no support it really needed replacing. Great Hotel for a base before setting off sightseeing, Old fashioned feel but a very busy place, had a great vibe. Only 10 minutes to airport and a shuttle available. My only downside is that the restaurants don't cater to vegetarian/vegan/dairyfree guests, even on asking they just said No can't really help sorry!

I stayed here for three nights on business. The hotel is clean and modern, and staff are excellent. It also has a good bar and plenty of communal areas. Bedrooms are adequate but similar to a travel inn. Only minor gripes were that on one of the nights when having dinner in the restaurant there was a big wait between courses which was unacceptable really, but this was only one night. Also my bedroom was quite noisy (other rooms could be heard, or was it the kitchen? not sure) Overall a very plea... Read more

But this did not prove to be a problem to very helpful girl at reception, she was very reassuring. We called the AA, but in meantime were able to take shuttle bus to Dublin airport & check in our 2 suitcases. The AA man had just pulled in when we returned and checked car out thankfully all was ok. We stayed one overnight to catch an early flight out of Dublin Airport. The lobby is festive and comfortable, with the restaurant directly adjacent to it. We arrived in the early evening, and surprised to see a long line of people checking in. There were no seats to take, as they were all filled with dinner guests, so we stayed jam packed with the crowd until we saw a chair open up. Very nice hotel relatively close to the airport. Overnight parking was 9 euros. The hotel offers a bar area with food available as well as a nice sit down restaurant. We ate at the sit down restaurant and enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. You get a small discount if you prepay dinner at the front desk rather than at the restaurant. The hotel is modern and the room was very comfortable. Reasonably priced too.

My husband and I stayed at the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport for one night before flying out of Ireland. For what we needed it for, this hotel served its purpose fine. We had all we needed, which was basically a comfortable bed and a good shower, as well as food, free parking, and Internet access. I think it works fine for what it is. However, I do think there is some room for improvement where this property is concerned. We arrived at the hotel at about 4:00pm. There was a huge wedding par... Read more

We traveled for a wedding weekend, stayed two nights. The hotel itself served good food and drink, breakfast was self serve and plentiful. The wedding was excellent, they obviously have lots of experience of this. The rooms were spacious and to a good standard, no fridge in room though, which was a surprise.

Stayed at the Clayton twice in the last month as a stay between flights. If you want a stay near the airport, this hotel works. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Second time stay at the hotel we had a room on second floor that was near some kind of light construction or guests doing in room building early in the morning and through the day. We were too tired to ask for a change of room, but would have been nice to receive notice if it was the hotel. Even-though the hotel was not near direct publ... Read more

Upon arrival the check in was quick and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. We were also allowed to check in early, which was great! The room was decent but a bit old fashioned. We had an overnight stay due to an early morning flight. The car park barrier lifted as expected due to our pre booking, the Christmas decorations were delightful, the reception and waiting staff more than helpful & courteous, the food tasty.
