we stayed here a few years ago when it was the Mercer Hotel. Travelodge has done a wonderful job revamping the rooms & the staff. The rooms were clean & cozy & the hotel staff was great. If you are lucky enough to stay there when Rachel is on the front desk the service is awesome & she can't do enough for you. The location is within walking distance of malls, shops restaurants & bars & parking is available for a fee but is very secure. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

This is an ok hotel for a short stay in Dublin, it's a bit frayed around the edges and has seen better days. The location is good, very easy to access the city centre. We were on the 5th floor and had problems opening the windows to air the room, the noise was a bit raucous at times but then it's a city.

This travelodge is in an excellent position, close to St Stephen's Green where you can pick up tour buses, horse drawn taxis or even amphibious landing craft! The rooms are of a good size, as are the bathrooms complete with bath and shower. Beds a good size and very comfy. Plenty of tea/coffee and milk provided. The only negative is the lack of a central ceiling light or other wall light which would be handy especially when trying to dry ones hair after the hours of darkness. By the way, hair dr... Read more

Don't stay here... When we arrived we had no light in the room just the bedside night lights. We complained and were given a lamp that didn't work. We were offered a different room but it had the same light issues! There was no hairdryer, we had to ask for that as well! The walls are very thin and you can hear through them, keeping my mum up throughout the night. Not very helpful staff oh and a grotty bathroom!

We stayed in a family room with one double bed and one single bed. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location of this hotel is perfect, within a 2 minute walk to Stephens Green and the shopping centre. There was no noise in the night time, however, we stayed on a Tuesday night so I'd imagine there would be slight noise on a weekend. The only problem was that it was very hot in the room.

Functional hotel, not one of the best in the group. In need of an update. Breakfast isn't included and I wasn't impressed by the choice of what was available. It is integral to the Stephens Green Car Park, for which there is a discounted rate. Good central location for the city and reasonable value.

I stayed at Stephens Green Travelodge for two nights back in March this year. I always look at Travelodges first as when booking in advance they tend to be the most competitive on price and this was the case when booking for our trip to Dublin. From previous reviews and looking on Google Maps, the location looked adequate and most restaurants/bars etc within a good walking distance (up to 20 minutes) however it was more perfect than we'd imagined. It's around a 20 minute walk to Temple Bar whic... Read more

Inside, is the same as any other Travelodge - cheap and cheerful. However, this hotel comes into it's own when considering it's location. It is very central, and offers easy access from Dublin Airport. I got the Aircoach which drops you off a 10min walk away. A very short walk to Temple Bar means that you don't really need to get a taxi anywhere. Lots of really good bars, restaurants and shops are right next to this hotel - perfect for a short stay in Dublin on a budget.

Location is ideal in the centre of Dublin, everything within easy access: St Stephen's Green, bars, restaurants, shops, sights... Quite pricey for a pretty basic hotel though. We were out all morning and over lunch but our room wasn't cleaned in that time. The cleaning team came to clean it in the afternoon but we were using the room at that point.

Looked at more luxurious hotels for our trip to Dublin that were further afield but the same price as this hotel but made the decision to stay here as we wanted to be in the centre of the action and I'm so glad we did. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and most importantly clean, staff were super helpful bringing up an iron and ironing board on our request. It was a little bit noisy in the mornings, but you can't book a city centre hotel and then moan about the noise of the city centre! Reall... Read more

This Travelodge is perfect for a one night stay if you have meetings in Dublin city centre. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly. Bathrooms could do with updating but were clean. Sadly the restaurant adjoining the hotel was not open but is due to re-open in July which would add to the hotel's overall appeal.

Having stayed in many travelodges throughout the UK you come to expect a certain (although basic) standard and i feel this hotel let that expectation down. Arriving in the city to attend a concert at the Royal kilmainham hospital my girlfriend and i took the new 757 airlink service to Stephen's green with a short 5 minute walk to the hotel. You can't fault the location, situated behind Grafton street you have all amenities close by. When entering our room the first thing we noticed was how run... Read more

Stayed for one night, great city center location. A little dated, only one lift in the building which is frustrating at busy times. I would advise booking a room on a higher floor on the end of the corridor on a side street to avoid noise. Only issue I had with noise was people going in or out the room and the door banging which made the wall vibrate. Disappointed there was no restaurant or bar but was close enough to walk to others. This hotel has a great location just off the top of Grafton Street in Dublin city centre. The room was spacious and clean although basic. No hairdryer. A major downfall was one 1 light in the room worked. There was 3 other lights in the room but none of this worked. Quick and easy check in and out. quiet building. This hotel is clean and basic inside but the exterior is filthy. Dried urine, vomit and other stains up the walls. I thought it was an abandoned building as I approached. I reported this as was told it was because they are on a main road. It clearly hadn't been washed down in ages.

I stayed here for a work trip and must say that the location and the staff were fantastic. Really friendly reception staff who were helpful and obliging. Located literally in the heart of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The room itself was clean but the bible prominently displayed on the bed-head was a bit shocking and quite a turn-off. This is 2016 after all, not the middle ages. Outside of the hotel is a bit shabby, but not offensive.

We stayed here when our cousin from the US came to visit nd we wanted to show her Dublin. This hotel was really convenient to being able to walk into the centre and to the bars and restaurant within a few minutes. It was clean, comfortable and the rooms and bathroom were very spacious. Also the staff on reception were pleasant and helpful. It definitely is more than a three star hotel, should have at least four stars.

Very comfortable beds but in the evening the hot water was tepid. Parking is next door in the QPark but difficult to drop off and then move luggage through maze of one way streets. Evening staff were not very helpful in giving directions to get back to the hotel or breakfast arrangements; also didn't inform us that we could have our parking ticket validated. Let's get a couple of negatives out of the way to begin with. First of all this hotel is currently right next to a building site (a new facility for the Royal College of Surgeons down the street). Whilst no one was working over the weekend, the noise started from before 7am on the Monday morning. The hotel is also on a busy road, whilst our room overlooked the side street the traffic noise was really evident still even with the windows closed (ear plugs advised if you're a light sleeper).
