Rooms nice, bed comfortable (pillows a bit hard). No tea/coffee facilities in room but available downstairs - cake/cookies/cheese and biscuits as well if you time it right! Breakfast excellent - home made jams, breads, cakes and good cooked choices. Well placed - not far from bus stop to city centre

Despite the property being very pretty and conveniently located, the negatives outweigh the positives. The walls are paper thin and the desk staff are unresponsive to complaints of loud drunken guests waking others when they stumble in at 4am. (It's 4:40 as I write this review and they are still making a terrible racket). There is a lot of street noise, so you can't leave the window open at night, but the room is quite hot and stuffy if you don't open it. The door knobs on the rooms don't work, ... Read more

No complaints during our 3 night stay. Dev was very patient and helpful with accurate information. The Irish breakfast is a must try! Clean and centrally located to train station and bus stops. Excellent complimentary tea and homemade goodies.

On the positive side of things - the staff were really helpful and pleasant. The location, close to Aviva Stadium, Lansdowne Road, although not central is in a nice part of town and access to the centre is very easy with buses and the Dart a stones throw away. There are some good restaurants and pubs minutes away. The rooms were also clean and the free wifi worked well. On the more negative side of things, the condition of the room we stayed in was poor (room 509). There was a hole in the carpet,... Read more

arrived late so had to park out front as car park full but on street parking is easy - was up early so no problem to move car into secure car park which is a great bonus. Room was clean and comfortable and had a great nights sleep. I was on the 1st floor to the rear and not bothered by any noises. WiFi good and shower was excellent. Only grumble was no tea and coffee facilities in room but they are available in the dining room (for free). Would use again.

We enjoyed a very pleasant three night stay at Pembroke Townhouse recently. Fiona and her staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. and the breakfasts were truly outstanding. Free Wifi is available and the signal was strong throughout the hotel. There is also a secure car park in Baggot Lane at the rear of the hotel. Pembroke Townhouse is located in the leafy Ballsbridge embassy district of Dublin but still only a pleasant 15-20 minutes walk from the hustle, bustle, shopping and dini... Read more

Quite town house, easy to get into the city centre, everything is walking distance. Hotel is quiet and doesn't have a bar but you can purchase wine & the bars aren't far. Also there is no breakfast served but again everything's pretty local and takes about 30 mins to get to the airport!

It was the perfect storm: Ireland v Netherlands at football and Bruce Springsteen at Croke Park on the same night. No wonder it was expensive Pembroke Townhouse is easy to get to .... we got the 702 airbus from the airport, got off at the Ballsbridge Hotel and it's a few minutes walk to the hotel. It's a lovely area, all Georgian houses and fairly quiet, The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size (could have accommodated three instead of just the two of us!) A flat screen... The only reason I filled in a bubble for the rating of the property is because I had to. I wish Trip Advisor had the option to fill in negative bubbles because this property definitely deserves a negative rating. I want to caveat my rating with the fact that I KNEW that a major football game was occurring as well as the fact that Bruce Springsteen was playing as well. Because of these to events, prices were outrageously high throughout Dublin and my family was just thankful that we were abl... Read more

A few weeks ago I stayed in Pembroke Townhouse for four nights. I hadn't been to Dublin for a few years and I wondered how the Townhouse would have changed - if at all - since my last visit. Thankfully it had not. If you seek Irish hospitality at its very best then look no further than this delightful hotel in the leafy Ballsbridge district of the city. From the moment you walk in through the door the hospitality is on display, from the courteous welcome of the hotel staff through to the beautif... Read more

We booked 6 days at Pembroke house to go to the 2 Bruce Springsteen concerts at Croke Park. Because of this the price was that of a 5* hotel. Having said that it was a very good guest house and the breakfast was lovely. One downside the pillows on the bed were rock hard, However would stay here again if the price was more sensible.

Upon getting to this townhouse you are met with steep steps and no one to help with your luggage. There sure could be some upgrades. Our room had wallpaper that was peeling at the edges. The picture on the wall was falling apart, the headboard needed to be painted. The bathroom as others complained had floor tiles that needed to be replaced. I feel this is a safety factor. The carpet needed sme major cleaning. The front staff were very helpful, and the kitchen staff and servers good as well.... Read more

Overall this hotel met our needs. About a mile walk to shopping on Grafton Street, which we were OK with. Staff is very friendly and there is private/secure parking for free. My biggest complaint was that there were obvious stains on the bedding and an extremely powerful shower with no fan to vent the moisture. The entire floor of our bathroom was soaked after one shower (a weighted shower curtain may help as well as adjusting the pressure on the shower) and with no bathroom fan the entire bathr... Wasn't sure what to expect staying here for a concert one night but was pleasantly surprised. Lovely area, nice stay and the comfiest bed ever. Complimentary cheese and cake went down a treat. Quite reasonable for the quality and standards. Will definitely be back again.

The ONLY thing good about this place was the location. The steep steps upon arrival were very difficult to climb with luggage. There were 7 of us (family) and the rooms were soooo small. My aunt and uncle literally could not walk around the bed and there was no place to set their luggage. The price was jacked up so high for the weekend we were there, the neighboring pubs and even the taxi driver were shocked how this place gouged the Americans. To top off the ridiculous price of the room..... Read more

I stayed for one night with my daughter who has Downs Syndrome. The staff were very welcoming, room was clean and comfortable. On arrival We requested a room at the back of the hotel (to be quieter) and this was auctioned immediately along with a discounted rate because the receptionist said it was a smaller room than originally planned. Good start. The following day were were going back to the Horse Show and I asked if it would be possible to allow our car to remain in the hotel car park (whi... Read more

Our last night of a 3 week British Isle tour, we decided to splurge and stay here. We thought we would be in luxury, but it wasn't the nicest place (by far) we had stayed on our trip. Yes, Dublin is expensive, but for what we got, we thought it was too expensive. We let the hotel know we would be arriving very early, and they said they would accommodate us, but when we got there, no room was available and we had to "burn time" walking around the city - when all we wanted to do was relax in our... We did a last minute booking yesterday for a day & night in Dublin. Love that you can park your car and then potter in and out of town by taxi or foot! Bed is so comfy, I'm awake early listening to seagulls and the pitter patter of rain ( it's Ireland come on!!) on the rooftop. Love room 602?? Thank you for the wine and chocolate treats yesterday. Will have an early walk around the block before the best breakfast in town, thank you!

My stay at Pembroke Townhouse was very positive. It is very well situated with easy access to transport anywhere around Dublin. It is a very well kept, bright and airy with a wide variety of food for breakfast. The staff were welcoming and really helpful and made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I enjoye my stay there and I would definitely stay there again. The only drawback was the traffic at nigh as it is in a busy area but it wouldn't put me off staying there. The positi... Read more

The shower was fantastically powerful and there were plenty of towels. This property does not represent good value for money though. It cost me E170 for the night and this did not include breakfast. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room (they provide this in the lobby which is no use at all). Water was E2 for 330ml bottle. The TV in the room was the small portable CRT type which aren't even on the market any more. If the price matched the standard I would have been very happy wi... Read more

Stayed at this Georgian townhouse on our final stay in Dublin. The area, known as Dublin 4, is in the posh central area of the city. There appear to be many similar houses, which resemble the Brownstone row houses, in Brooklyn, NY. You do have to walk up an outside flight of stairs to enter the lobby, and that won't be a problem for most travelers. Inside you are greeted by a friendly staff, welcoming you with a refreshing beverage. The rooms vary from small to large, with period appointments an... Read more
