Hotel is in a great location near Temple Bar area. However, it can be noisy as late as 3:00 AM. It would be best to get the uppermost floor and away from the busiest streets. Shopping and pubs are within walking distance.

The perfect location of the hotel made it to the right decision. I spend 4 nights with my girlfriend in the hotel which is very close to the Temple Bar and a lot of other pubs. The breakfast for 10? p.p. was excellent. The staff was very polite and I enjoyed the holidays. The only shortcoming was the noisy location and the annoying traffic light down the street which made all night noise. Also you hear every step from the room above. Summerizing it was a good choise.

Good location, it's not in the city centre but it's easy access to pretty much everywhere in Dublin. It's very close to Temple bar and the zoo and the courts. The hotel is nice, we stayed on the top floor and had a balcony. The room was spacious. However at times I found that it was quite dark and it needed more light to get ready. The bathroom was basic but had everything that was needed.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the city, tasty breakfast, pub downstairs Cons: Some noise from the pub downstairs so get a room on a higher floor; like many renovated hotels in older buildings across Europe, you'll have to open a window if you want some air at night

Excellent location at the end of Temple Bar and close to the airport bus stops. Close enough to walk to all the main attractions. Lovely cooked breakfast, just not much choice! We had a dated room which was in need of a refurb, but was adequate for what we needed! Great shower! Downside were the floorboards could hear every foot step....and they were up at the crack of dawn. Also the Turks Bar downstairs is bouncing on a Fri/Sat night so can be a bit noisey, but having a room f... Read more

this hotel had the best location, great staff, and spacious rooms. We were very happy with the accommodations and had no complaints. Showers had good pressure & were refreshing. Dublin castle is a block away and Christchurch Cathedral only a couple blocks. Hop on/Hop off bus stop was very close and a good way to get around Dublin.

Overall a great stay. This place is in a great location. Our 2nd floor room was clean, what more can you ask for. It was a bit noisy outside and in the halls from time to to time. Just a note that the wifi is slow and sometimes didn't work from our room.

The hotel meet our needs but it was like visiting a maiden Aunt, in need of so TLC. Every thing worked but was starting to show its age. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as the buffet selection was extremely limited.

This was a late night decision, gay couple seeking refuge late at night. Very accommodating but ?120 for a walk-in I thought was a little steep on a weekday and still having to pay for breakfast. (This actually annoys me more as I write so moving on ...) Double beds are those two singles merged; alas not too comfortable but the rooms are immaculate and as my headline says OMG the water pressure in the shower is AMAZING. It's been a long time since I've experienced that in a hotel and I didn'... Read more

Walking into the hotel you can the place is very clean, and you are greeted by an incredible friendly and helpful staff. The location was simply awesome, almost everything was in walking distance and if it was not within walking distance there was public transportation easily accessible. The room was well taken care, however, I did find it a bit odd to have a bottle opener next to the toilet and I wish there would have been one big bed instead of two smaller beds pushed really close together.

The location to enter was not very clear, since the listings show Parliament street, but you actually enter on the Temple Bar side. Once we finally found the entrance, the staff could not be friendlier. The room was very historic looking, and well-kept, although there was no room service and the carpet needs a refresh. They gave us a Patio room, and it was lovely. I would definitely go back, and its a great location in Dublin if you want to be near everything, and I Do mean everything, from p... Read more

We traveled with our sons (17 and 20) and stayed here for three nights with two rooms. The location couldn't be better and the rooms were pretty good sized for a European hotel. The downside was the lack of air conditioning during a recent heat wave in Ireland. (I know--Americans are spoiled and it's rare to find air conditioning in Europe). While it was easy enough to open the windows, our rooms were located on the side of the hotel facing the Temple Bar area--so it was noisy!! Luckily we sa... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights on a short trip to Dublin. The location was our main issue in booking, but everything exceeded our expectations! The staff was friendly and so helpful! The room was good sized, clean and so quiet! (We did ask for quiet when we booked and got a 5th floor room) The breakfast was great with the pastries and fruit on the self serve bar plus the cooked to order Irish breakfast! And, the location couldn't be beat for walking to most everything we wanted to see in town. ... Read more

I don't suggest leaving the window open as it is noisy most of the night and early morning when bars are everywhere in Dublin especially temple bar. But the location is near everything, the city is very much alive, and when they say full Irish breakfast you will be full before you finish it. And the hotel is quite cute, you feel very retro (1930's?)

Only stayed here for the 1 night when attending a Stone Roses concert at Marlay Park. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the Temple Bar area. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the rooms have everything you need and are clean and comfortable. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Bear in mind that it is in the middle of the lively Temple Bar area so can be noisy on a night time, but is very handy if you're there for the night life.

Great location and close to temple bar however the hotel itself is dated and may have been nice 20 years ago. The Paramount is a great hotel in a great location. Being in the Temple Bar area it is close to many eating places, and locals pubs where you can listen to Irish music. Don't be fooled - many complain about the Temple Bar area - eg prices, noice and behaviour, but I found the prices decent, the noise only loud where you wanted it when bands or music being played, and the people friendly and safe. We stayed here for the 4 days of our trip to Ireland. It was the perfect location for seeing the top tourist destinations in Dublin. The staff are very accommodating as I was in a wheelchair and their main entrance requires a step too steep for my chair, so every time I wanted to come or go, they had to walk down a long hall and unlock the emergency exit. Had a boys weekend in Dublin so we chose a hotel in Temple Bar. The area is rowdy to say the least, the hotel however was surprisingly quiet and a good nights sleep was had by all despite being so central and having a pub next door and across the road. Clean rooms and a good bathroom/shower. The breakfast and service was quite good too. I'd stay here again because the location to Temple Bar is perfect.

Right on the outer edge of Temple Bar (where you'd need to be if you want to sleep!), this hotel is old but cozy. Everything shows its age but nothing is dirty or decrepit. Bed was a bit saggy, but was very large and we made it our home for a few nights and hungover days after a wedding. Wifi pretty slow. But the location makes it perfect for those who want to see the nightlife of Temple Bar!
