The first line says it all. Can't say enough good things about all of the nice helpful people and what a shock that there was a real breakfast with lost of healthy or comfortable foods, Love this place. We travel the world and this is our first experience in Ireland. Great place. We start today to really look around. Plus I'm excited to get home as I finalized the purchased of a private limo,

This hotel was included in our Gate 1 tour. Awesome and excellent service and staff. A big shoutout to Keith from the front desk because he was there to help all of us from Day 1 and our entire stay. He went above and beyond what We call excellent customer service. We love you Keith.... You made everything so much easier for us...same goes with the rest of the staff from the restaurant who serves delicious breakfast and housekeeping and all. Stayed here for 2 weeks in Jan for business . Spacious comfortable rooms , maintained immaculately . Great restaurant and good pub food all reasonably priced . Located a short trip from city centre (10 min walk) in Dublin s trendy donnybrook , surrounded by a host of restaurants , pubs and cafes . I had a bit of car trouble when there , the staff and management were extremely helpful on getting me on the road again ,going the extra mile pardon the pun ( thanks Janet ) Can't wait to return . ... I stayed here on a business trip and wasn't expecting much based on similar hotels I had stayed in near the area, how surprised I was. I had an executive room, which wasn't much more expensive and it was fantastic. Check-in was quick and efficient. It is situated in a lovely area with walking distance to many restaurants, cafes and bars. I would highly recommend the breakfast, busy but well worth it. Coffee was fresh and hot! I had a light meal in the bar with a few glasses of wine and the staff... Read more

I had the chance to stay here for a business trip. I was sceptical of the hotel when I booked because the price was so reasonable for the area. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel quite lovely, the room large, shower/bath area excellent. They have a lounge and a restaurant. But what really sold me on this place is it's proximity to so many great bars and restaurants and coffee shops. I will come back and bring my family.

I wanted a quick sandwich for lunch. In the bar. "Sandwiches/lunch just finished". There were breakfast baps. Frazzled looking bacon strips among the sausages under the dough. Three cold ones remaining on the counter plate. "I can heat up one for you in the machine!". How much are they? " I'm not sure" The bacon strips looked more and more inedible as I waited. No thank you. "There's a lunch in the restaurant". (Short of time) No thank you. I left. Not particularly sure I will return!

Had the opportunity to stay at the Mespil and we were not disappointed. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The food served in the dining room was very fresh and plentiful. They also gave you a large variety to choose from. Transportation for touring is real close and readily available,

Stayed for a short two day break over New Years. From check in to check out and everything in between, I couldn't fault this hotel. The staff are courteous and extremely helpful (had an issue with my ATM card and wouldn't swipe, the staff went above and beyond to assist with manual entries - given the banks were shut and couldn't sort it out) the rooms are very comfortable as is the bed. Lovely quiet and peaceful hotel also. Would highly recommend.

Very good hotel located not too far from Grand Canal square (ideal for business trips). Good clean rooms, good restaurant(s), pretty good wifi, decent gym. Only the breakfast is a bit frustrating for the price and the distinction between continental and Irish seems superfluous. Oh, and the soap and shampoo provided in the bathroom smell wonderful!

Visually a four star both common areas and rooms. Clean comfy etc. Breakfast is a bit of a free for all. The hot buffet is too small for the number of customers. Food seems rationed. Fresh fruit yesterday none today (canned peaches today). No muesli just lower cost cerials. Free parking should read free, very limited parking. So 3 not 4 star.
