Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is very central, with the airport bus stop right outside the hotel. Short walk to Temple Bar and the attractions. Reasonably priced for what I got. Rooms seemed outdated and small but for a lower budget the Maple Hotel is just right!

I have just came back from a long weekend in Dublin, me and friends stayed at the Maple Hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location and price. You do get your money's worth. The hotel rooms have everything you need and are comfortable. EVERYONE must go to the hotel bar and meet Mussy, he is a fantastic guy and made our time at the hotel very entertaining. Also I must recommend the bar/ restaurant on the Corner (O'sheas) the food is amazing and reasonable in price! Have some... Read more

The hotel has (cheap) single glazed replacement windows. The window in our room did not fit properly and this let a lot of street noise through. The traffic noise became very loud from about 6 am and so trying to sleep after that was almost futile. The extractor in the bathroom would also shriek like a banshee every now and again. The hotel itself was in a good position, the staff were helpful and friendly and there was plenty to each for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel either for peo... Read more

Stayed here in March with a friend. We went for a 3 bed room because we were supposed to be travelling as a 3, but one of our friends did't make it. This meant that we has 2 single and 1 double bed between two of us! Clearly was supposed to be a family room. We were on the ground floor but our room was hidden behind another door leading from the main corridor for extra security. The room had a classic feel, but was very spacious, the ceilings were high and the bathroom was clean. The staff on r... Read more

This hotel is very well located, near the O'Connel Street and river Liffey. We had some problems with the pipe of the toilet - water on the floor. Bad sleep - sounds of the heating panel. The employees were nice and ready to help.

Well, where do I start ?.... Best at the beginning...I recently attended this hotel for three nights as it was ideally placed for Croke Park..This was true as it was a 20 minute stroll.I initially requested an earlier booking in as my flight was earlier. When I landed at the hotel the receptionist stated that this was not the case as check out was only 11am and they needed time to clean the room..Not my problem.... Anyway I went for a coffee etc and returned later, whereby we were then checked i... Read more

Although the the location was close enough to the city centre it wasn't in the nicest area. The managers were very nice. They were helpful with any request. The room was basic but I wouldn't stay there again purely for the fact that the room smelt of smoke. It was also really noisy on one of the nights. Nice managers but wouldn't stay there again.

Stayed here recently and the only thing I could fault was the shower in the morning but that could possibly be we just couldn't get the temperature right. Other than that the place was a great base to stay in Dublin with kids. The room was clean and presentable with plenty of room for us. The beds where very comfy an we had plenty of tea and coffee. The TV was easy to use but best of all was the book they put ur in room full of information. It was a great idea especially if it's ur first time in... Read more

I stayed here the 1st week of May: I found the entire staff to be very pleasant and helpful! The room was simple/cozy/very clean and no hotel noise at all!. The full Irish breakfast is excellent, lots of choices and wait staff was lovely. The location is perfect: close to the Bus+Train station, the Dart and Airlink is right on the street. You are 2 blocks to O'Connell Street. It's a Busy area with many shops very close by! You can walk to Temple bar area as well. ***Some of reviews on tripadviso... Read more

Me and my boyfriend (Both 20yr old students from Cork) stayed here for one night and it was VILE. Our room wasn't even in the hotel, they made us go out a back emergency exit and through a back alley to a dilapidated granny flat! I thought we were being Punk'd ! The door wouldn't open, the room was smaller than a child's bedroom, there was a hole in the ceiling , I didn't want to sleep under the blanket because it was disgusting. The bathroom was so small the door would hit the toilet when you o... Read more

I can't say this was a great accommodation. The double room was quite small, the bathroom was tiny and we could never get the sink water faucet to run hot, though the shower water did get hot. The shower is so tiny....a large person would have a very hard time getting into the door. The location and prices are the two main features of this place. The telephone did not work, we didn't get a TV remote. The wi-fi was just OK. the breakfast was better than average.

Booked one night here thankfully ....decor is shabby....carpets and furniture are shabby....shower very small.....room unbearably hot so we had no choice to open the windows but being on a main st it was very noisy all night .....roadworks being done outside which started early morning digging and shouting just very noisy in general......night staff gave us the wrong info for breakfast times when we checked in so we missed it they only serve 8-10am we was told till 11am....there's no drinking wa... I stayed here for one night on the 16th of July and was very pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was for so cheap! Normally I'm very fussy! 3 of stayed in room 23 and it was lovely, spacious, free towels provided, hot water, free wifi and comfy beds. What more could you ask for? The only slight let down for a 4 score was that the room was SUPER hot during the night due to a safety lock on the window it wouldn't open far. The Irish breakfast in the morning was so nice and is served betwee... Read more

I stayed @ Maple for 7 nights. The hotel is nice, clean, tidy. Staff is friendly. Rooms are medium sized, but very comfortable. O'Connell st. and Temple Bar are just 10 min walking distance, therefore very good placed near shops, pubs and tourist attractions.

I've stopped in some bad places in my time, but this is terrible! So overpriced! We asked them to fix a riser rail when getting there on Friday, we asked again 3 times on Saturday and they just looked at us in blankly. The only time they spoke to us when we were 20 mins late checking out! Don't waste your money, o'sheas is 4 doors down, half the price with breakfast.

When we arrived we discovered the booking company had cancelled our reservation due to no money from Lowcostholidays. After negotiations with the guy on reception he found us a room at the back of the hotel (room 38) which we paid for again on arrival. Room is very spacious and seems to be getting renovated; it's usually a family room with a double and a single bed. Shower is a bit on the small side but is manageable to use and there are tea making facilities in the room. Cleaner kept rooms tidy... Read more

The room we got had a smell upon arrival. The large window in the room did not have a lock on it, nor a safe in the room. Out of all the hotels we stayed in on this trip, this was by far the worst sleep and it was only for 1 night. I will not be returning here.

We booked this hotel/B&B on a budget and was not disappointed with what we had for our money. We arrived early and was greeted by a lovely young lady on reception and nothing was to much trouble. We were allowed to leave our bags as we arrived early and went to sample the sights in Dublin. When we returned there was a change of staff and nothing was still much trouble still. We located our rooms which were on the top floor (no lifts available) and it was clean and tidy. Toilet and shower is smal... Read more

Room 16 top floor - We stayed at the maple hotel for two nights. We arrived at 5pm the first night. Found our room to not look exactly like the pictures shown when booked. Also noticed there was tape covering something. Didnt mind to much as location was decent and we were ready to go out and explore. The 2nd day began to rain & thats when we noticed the roof began to leak. The tape was covering the fire alarm. We asked receptionist for help. It was 130am in the morning, they did offer ... Spent a fantastic weekend here with a group of hens - basic type of rooms but were ideal for what we wanted. Breakfast was good & service was great with all staff being friendly & welcoming. Bar was nice & cosy with great prices - bar man was really welcoming & enjoyed being part of our company - only downside was the pool room (which was a bit dingy & had a leaky roof) & also the smoking area which was basically a run down garage full of junk with a couple of nesting pigeons. Overall, the hotel... Read more
