Booked in for 2 nights and just before midnight on our last night there, I booked again for the following night. I didn't want to leave ! Loved the room, so comfortable and fab decor. Location is excellent (2 min walk to Luas) The staff and manager definitely deserve a mention because every one of them were so helpful and friendly. Staff can make or break a hotel so well done to you all. I'm looking forward to staying with you again in the near future. Thank you for a lovely stay...

We stayed here for a girly weekend. It was a lovely room to fit all four of us in. The only complaint I could say is that we could of done with a few more coathangers. We paid for the breakfast which was 10? which was well worth the money. It wasn't that far to walk anywhere or it was just up the road from the tram stop or the hop on/off bus. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff is very friendly and we loved the good sized room. Unfortunately, we had to move from our first room at the rear, because these rooms are facing to an extremely loud air condition of the opposite house. We moved to a room at the front side which didn't have the air condition but some noise at night from people coming home from partying. The bed was a bit too hard for us. And the breakfast wasn't worth the money. With scrambled eggs from the container and dry sausages, mushrooms w... Read more

The receptionists were very kind and helpful all the way through my stay! The location was perfect for both my work and for a little sight seeing. And the gym next door, while not included in the price, was very convenient for much needed workouts. And there's a great pub directly across the street with Live Music - so fun. I would recommend!

Spent 2 nights at this hotel recently whilst exploring Dublin. Smithfield is a quiet location with easy access to the tram system and in easy walking distance of Temple bar The old Jameson distillery is just across the square and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes in very easy walking distance. I have stayed here multiple times for professional and personal reasons and I would not stay anywhere else for the same price: helpful staff, great confortable rooms and very good amenities frankly. Close to Luas and around 10-20 minutes afoot to the center of Dublin, it makes it extremely good and cost-effective as an hotel.

The advertisement for this place is not accurate, and the service was not that good. Bottom line: not worth the price. They charge 4-5 star prices for a 2-3 star place. First of all, they lead you to believe it is in the center of town. It is not, and it is in an area that's "in transition". Also, we came back to the room every night we were there after sightseeing, to see we weren't given any towels. Each night I had to ask for them, and once or twice they would bring the wrong size towels. ... Read more

In mind, just for sleep and work, this is ok. Very narrow hallways, but clean and decent furnished. The breakfast was ok and variated in options. Coffee good, location ok, wifi average but stability ok. Overall not something to remember, but compared to other hotels in the area, this was the best value for the money, and fulfilled its purpose. No minibar, but vendor in lobby area. Large grocery store, next door. Easy accessible by taxi/car. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping.

Should you choose to walk there, it's about 20-30 minutes. -surrounding environs: literally next door to the hotel is a small ... Read more

Stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend on his recommendation as he had stayed here previously this year. Upon check in we were told by the man checking us in that he had upgraded us to a deluxe King with a balcony as they were fully booked that night, which was a nice surprise. Hotel room was very nice, room 211. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quite spacious. The door on the bathroom didn't quite close properly and it seemed to have a few chips on the top, which did... Read more

Maldron has got several hotel in Dublin, this one is close to the jameson distillery, 10 minutes walking to Christ church, 15 to St Patrick and the Guinness storehouse- in 20 minutes walking (or 5 by bike) you're in Temple bar. So nice position, quiet during the evening, a supermarket with Sunday opening just close to the entrance, a good pub in the corner and 2 stations of Dublin bikes in front. Rooms are comfortable, large and well equipped with standards (boiler, coffee, TV, hairdryer iron ... Read more

This hotel is a quick cab ride to and from the airport (take a cab the locals are amazing and so informative of their city/country and it's affordable). Great walking distance to all of the main areas you would want to see as a first-timer in Dublin (Grafton St, Temple Bar etc) and it is across the parkway from the Jameson Distillery. The walking route to Guinness can be confusing but just map it before you go it's a totally doable walk. The hotel was clean and offered the bare minimum you need ... Read more

4 of us stayed in a suite for one night during a short 2 day trip to Dublin. Arriving early in the morning, we were able to leave our bags in the luggage room whilst we then headed to the Guinness Experience which is about 20 minutes walk away. Room itself was smaller than I expected for a suite and 4 people but for 1 night did the job. The hotel looks pretty new and modern from the outside but the room showed a lot of signs of wear and tear. The toilet door bar on the floor was loose and was e... Read more

very rude reception staff, slow check in. Makes sure you ask for a quiet room or you will be await all night. Inflexible, front door doesn't work properly. you have to wait a long time time for a taxi if you book through the hotel, better waving one down on the street.

I stayed in this hotel based on price and okay reviews. I did not have very high expectations since everything in the city centre was well over 200 euros per night. I was pleasantly surprised...the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was definitely a good walk to the city centre but very doable...maybe about 15 minutes. The good news is the Double Decker bus stop is just down the street so you can start your touring right away. Unfortunately, the Jameson Distillery on the same... Read more

I arrived back at the hotel at 9pm after attending a lenghthy course. The restaurant was closed and there was no room service. Perhaps that's normal for a 3 star hotel. No AC in room and lamps not working. Unlikely to return.

stayed here for 3 nights not a lot to do no entetainment during the week.u have to buy milk sugar and tbags in the shop next door as they only leave u a couple of each on the tray each day. The only water u could use was the water from the bathroom sink so if u drink a lot of tea u spend a small fortune on water from the shop. The wardrobe r very old and would need replaced. The ironing board is attached to the door of the wardrobe and is fine if u r ironing toddlers clothes it's that small the... Read more

I've stayed here twice and was happy with my stay both times. It's a new modern hotel with clean rooms that are quite big for Dublin standards. The area is nice and safe though it felt a bit dead at times. Having said that there's a shop around the corner and a few pubs too. The Luas stop is less than a minute walk and you can walk to city centre along the Liffey in about half an hour. This is a good alternative to some of the pricier city centre hotels.

Myself and my husband spent one night here, nothing to complain about until we went to the restaurant My husband ordered chowder, it was milk with sweet potato, 1 prawn,(I kid you not ) when we told the waitress she told us " I know , the chowder is hit and miss when it comes to fish" , sorry when I order chowder , I expect fish!!!!. Then came the lamb shank , it was swimming in a bowl of soup with frozen veg, a dollop of mash and was so inedible that we had to send it back. I can honestly say ... Read more

Stayed one night in September - our first night in Dublin; chose this hotel because it's so close to Heuston Station and we were taking the train the next morning out to the country and had a lot of luggage. This place worked out wonderfully - it was in a very interesting area that evoked a lot of real Dublin history, it was super close to the Luas line and so it was an easy way to access the rest of the city, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in close proximity and it's a very up-and-com... We really liked the location of this hotel -- it's an easy 15 min walk to temple bar/downtown area but is quiet at night. We had friends staying in temple bar area that couldn't sleep because of the noise outside. The hotel is quiet, clean and has a great grocery store downstairs. We opted out of the breakfast and we were glad we did -- the grocery store had all we needed at a cheaper price. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodated early check-in for us at 11am. Don't expect any frills at this... Read more

My husband and two daughters travelled to Dublin November 5-13, 2016. One of our daughters was there for the Undergraduate Awards and we needed to be close to the Generator Hostel. The Maldron is across the street. It is just north of the river Liffey and easy walking distance to all the attractions. The downside is that they don't have queen or king sized beds. Hopefully this will change over time. Any way I booked two junior suites, one for us and one for our daughters. They were large, well ... Read more

I stayed a few weeks ago, I must say the whole experience was exemplary, from the friendly staff at reception to the amazing food in the restaurant. I had the chowder and my husband had the fish cakes, absolutely delicious food, full of flavour and amazing service. I can't rate this place highly enough. Definitely worth a visit. We were made to feel like royalty from start to finish. I will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed on a week night as my wife was working locally. The first pleasant surprise was an upgrade to the top floor which had a lovely view over the city. The car park was very handy as it is directly under the hotel and we did not have to brave the elements. We had a meal in the restaurant and the waiter could not have been more helpful. My wife's meal was cold and had to be sent Bach twice but as a very nice gesture they did not charge us for the wine. The room as very comfortable with loads... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights. arrived too early for check in so we left our cases and went out. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. We had been upgraded to a balcony room which was great, it was modern, light and airy and very clean. We booked directly with the hotel and were given 15% voucher off food or drink or both, so we ate in the hotel both nights purely for convenience. If you do be warned portions are massive. If we return to Dublin, we will definitely stay there again for convenience. ... Read more

stayed at this hotel for one night in may. Rooms were clean. Reservations were exactly as booked. rooms with friends were close together. the district is really nice and it's close to all the sites in Dublin (we walked everywhere). The parking can be hard to find, and the initial spaces for checking in are very tight. we had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious.
