I stayed at the Maldron for 5 nights on a business trip. The hotel is conveniently located, a shortwalk from downtown and the Temple Bar. Rooms are a bit on the small side and a bit dated, but comfortable nonetheless. Bathroom is decently sized and clean. Breakfast was not included, but for EUR 10 it was definetely worth it. Free wi-fi was a good deal too.

I prefer to stay in the Parnell area of Dublin. Everything is close. The GPO, writers museum, bus tours, O'Connell Street, Moore Street, the Rememberance Garden and the Ambassador Theatre. The staff here were very helpful. The breakfast is a lower cost if you purchase the night before.

Stayed one night with a Tour Group. Had our fairwell dinner for 31 people here and it was disappointing. Offered 3 different menu selections, pasta was overcooked, chicken was not cooked well and I didn't try the fish. Service was okay but the meal itself was not very good. Room was nice and staff was friendly and cooperative

A well located central hotel with well appointed rooms (very comfortable beds and good bathroom with bath and shower!) Breakfast consisted of an excellent help yourself buffet including Irish favourites - white pudding and black pudding. Staff were very friendly and would assist with organising day trips etc... Only downside was the room didn't get cleaned till after 18.00 (but at least it got cleaned!) Wi-Fi freely available.

This hotel is in a good location to access everything in Dublin. Dublin is a tight city and you can walk across it in 45 minutes. This is close enough to the tourist areas but far enough away to be a quiet respite. Clean up to date rooms and decent breakfast and friendly staff.

On two occasions in recent years I booked myself and some German friends into this hotel. Both occasions were for International matches between Ireland and Germany. On "both" occasions we were told on arrival that our rooms were not available due to electrical faults in "both" Embarresed would be an understatement for me.Before leaving after making my feelings felt I told management that offering my friends a free stay on their next visit to Ireland would be the very least they should offer for t... Have recently returned from a 3 night stay. Very happy with stay. Bathroom could be updated but overall decor and size of room good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Did feel breakfast was over priced.

Booked online through edreams, this hotel was reasonably well situated in the city and staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in a standard ensuite room which was clean with a comfortable bed and the usual extras such as coffee/tea making facilities, Iron and hairdryer. The buffet style breakfast (extra cost 12 Euro pp) was very good with an extensive choice of hot and cold items. Top tip- if you get a breakfast voucher from reception the day before, it is 10 Euro per person.

The hotel is good, the rooms are a reasonable size and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Our room was quiet and clean. The public areas are ok, reception staff ok, not particularly friendly or helpful, just doing what needs to be done and no more. You can walk to Parnell Square, O'Connell Street and the North side shops very easily from the hotel.

On the 6th of June 2016 I booked the Maldron Hotel on Parnell Square, Dublin 1. The reason I booked that hotel was it was beside the Mater Private Hospital on Eccles Street, the next day, ie, the 8th. I spoke to Luciane and what a wonderful person she was. When she heard my mission the next day she reduced the price of the Accommodation and not only that I requested to park my car in their car park. There is very limited space at that Hotel for parking car's and Luciane looked after me, in face ... Read more

Friendly staff. Very nice location with easy access to everything. Housekeeping did a really great job of cleaning our rooms. Frustrating beginning to our stay: when we checked in, they did not show one of our 2 rooms as being booked. I had email proof of booking. Staff took over 20min trying to find it, never did, but finally gave us the 2nd room. While taking a shower, the shower curtain blows up against you, literally attacks you! I am not a germ o-phobe but I couldn't help thinking about all... Read more

Had to stay close to airport because our luggage was lost, I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are there to help you in any way they can. We got a room with 2 single beds, I had just gotten off an overnight flight, and they let me check in early in the morning, the room is a little small, but was glad to have it. There is coffee and tea in the room. A very big bath. I would recommend this hotel, because of the staff alone.

My wife and I stayed here for a Bruce Springsteen concert in May 2016 and a special rate for the show in nearby Croke Park. The hotel is roughly 5mins walk from the top of O'Connell Street so has easy access to most things in the centre of town. We arrived around 11.30 and there was nobody in reception so were taken right away. Our checkin was really quick and completed in 2mins as they were expecting us around this time (They had rang my mobile the night before to gauge a time of arrival). Wit... Read more

We just arrived in Dublin, Ireland and are currently staying at the Maldron hotel in Parnell Square. Our room is not luxurious, but perfect for us. The beds are cozy, house keeping is excellent. Breakfast is included and it is delicious. We have a television, WiFi, and we have hot water. What else can you ask for?

This is not a fancy hotel but is very comfortable and clean. They do have AC (for the Americans!) but it doesn't work very well. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. The food was good in the restaurant and the bar was small but adequate. The best part is its location to the city center, it is close and easy to find, overall I would give it a solid 7.

What a surprise this hotel was. Stayed in a few Dublin hotels and this one was excellent. The staff were really welcoming and pleasant to talk to. The room was excellent, I asked for a quiet room and that is exactly what the receptionist gave me. The bed and pillow was very comfortable, the room was of adequate size and the wi-fi signal was strong all around the hotel and rooms. We had inclusive breakfast and it was a delight with plenty of variety from cereals to fruit to cooked. I asked ... Read more

Stayed for 3 nights in July, hotel has good wifi across the hotel. Breakfast caters for gluten free and diabetics with their own station which is perfect and great to see. A good selection otherwise. Staff very friendly, room very clean and its in a great location to get out and about easily. Would definitely stay again.

A very comfortable hotel, bedroom was a good size, shower worked very well in the bathroom, and staff very friendly. A good location easy walking distance to O'Connell Street, and quiet. Excellent choice of breakfast items, bacon and egg if you wanted it, but also full selection of pastries, cold meats, cheeses and fruit.

We only chose this hotel in Dublin City Centre because it was near the hotel that our daughter's traveling choir is staying. Overall this is an average hotel with good service but expensive and had missing items. It was very strange that the hotel would ask you to pay for the full stay when you check-in (a unique practice that I am not sure if this is common in Dublin). For the high price that we paid, this hotel did not have a safe, no complimentary water bottles, only 3 pillows for 3 guests... Read more

This is a no-frills hotel with an excellent location just off of O'Connell Street- far enough from the main drag to be relatively quiet but close enough to make it a quick walk. Our room was small but very clean and quite comfortable. Front desk staff were a mixed bag- all friendly but some were not very good at providing service or answering questions. We asked the concierge for an early morning taxi to the airport and it wasn't ever written anywhere, so it was a scramble in the morning! To... Read more

The Maldron is in quite a central location so convenient to walk to most tourist attractions. It is a clean and comfortable hotel but very small with all of the facilities on top of each other. The rooms are comfortable but small and no views from the Windows.

Visited Dublin on two night break this week. Arrived Sunday Morning and headed for hotel. Left baggage with reception to explore Dublin. Arrived back at hotel later on in afternoon. Check in was busy and they appeared to have been busy the night before due to a concert. Was soon in room though. Large room, comfortable and fresh smelling. Furniture a little dated but more than acceptable. Bed comfy and my favorite of spare pillows in wardrobe. Shower very powerful and invigorating. Paid extra for... Read more

The hotel is nicely located for any city centre activities. But the room was small and I am not sure if it was cleaned daily. Some towels we were given during our stay were stained and there was dirt of uncertain origin on the bathroom floor. Whereas the selection at the breakfast buffet was varied, the crockery and cutlery was dirty and greasy and the bowls and plates had remnants of cereals and earlier breakfasts on them. The staff was not removing used plates to make room and we had to deposi... Read more

Overall it was a decent hotel but it was a bit overpriced. The price did not include breakfast. The room was clean but really rather small. The staff were friendly but it was a forced kind of friendly and they never offered to call us a cab or help with our luggage even though we had a lot of suitcases (long trip) and we had walked a long way to get there so we were all drenched in sweat and breathless. They never offered to help us figure out something nice to do and we had to dig for informati... Read more

Hotel was up the hill and was not the easiest to find on a rainy cold day in June (!) after being dropped off by the Airline Express bus. Otherwise, you get used to the uphill walk and the Spire is about a 10 minute walk, add 5-10 more minutes to cross the bridge to Trinity College area. Mall/market area also about 5-10 minutes away. Lots of construction going on when we visited, so it was a little tricky crossing the streets. Room was clean, breakfast was good (but not free). Staff helpful and ... Read more

This is a very nicely located hotel, only about 10 min or 15 min walk from Temple Bar, very near O Connell Street. It is a very nice hotel too and the breakfast is great! But the people are really great! They knocked themselves out to have our 16 rooms ready so we could check in early when we arrived in Dublin to check in as early as 9:30 A.M.! That is above the call of duty! Our room was very nice and I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 7 nights at this lovely hotel in early June. The location is perfect just a ten minute walk to the main centre of town and O'Connell Street. The rooms are wonderfully clean, bright, spacious with very good bathroom facilities. There is plenty of tourist information in the lobby along with an interactive map The housekeeping was faultless as was the service by all the staff we encountered. Should I visit Dublin again I would definitely stay here.
