I stayed at the Maldron for 5 nights on a business trip. The hotel is conveniently located, a shortwalk from downtown and the Temple Bar. Rooms are a bit on the small side and a bit dated, but comfortable nonetheless. Bathroom is decently sized and clean. Breakfast was not included, but for EUR 10 it was definetely worth it. Free wi-fi was a good deal too.

I prefer to stay in the Parnell area of Dublin. Everything is close. The GPO, writers museum, bus tours, O'Connell Street, Moore Street, the Rememberance Garden and the Ambassador Theatre. The staff here were very helpful. The breakfast is a lower cost if you purchase the night before.

Stayed one night with a Tour Group. Had our fairwell dinner for 31 people here and it was disappointing. Offered 3 different menu selections, pasta was overcooked, chicken was not cooked well and I didn't try the fish. Service was okay but the meal itself was not very good. Room was nice and staff was friendly and cooperative

A well located central hotel with well appointed rooms (very comfortable beds and good bathroom with bath and shower!) Breakfast consisted of an excellent help yourself buffet including Irish favourites - white pudding and black pudding. Staff were very friendly and would assist with organising day trips etc... Only downside was the room didn't get cleaned till after 18.00 (but at least it got cleaned!) Wi-Fi freely available.

This hotel is in a good location to access everything in Dublin. Dublin is a tight city and you can walk across it in 45 minutes. This is close enough to the tourist areas but far enough away to be a quiet respite. Clean up to date rooms and decent breakfast and friendly staff.

Booked online through edreams, this hotel was reasonably well situated in the city and staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in a standard ensuite room which was clean with a comfortable bed and the usual extras such as coffee/tea making facilities, Iron and hairdryer. The buffet style breakfast (extra cost 12 Euro pp) was very good with an extensive choice of hot and cold items. Top tip- if you get a breakfast voucher from reception the day before, it is 10 Euro per person.

The hotel is good, the rooms are a reasonable size and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Our room was quiet and clean. The public areas are ok, reception staff ok, not particularly friendly or helpful, just doing what needs to be done and no more. You can walk to Parnell Square, O'Connell Street and the North side shops very easily from the hotel.

On the 6th of June 2016 I booked the Maldron Hotel on Parnell Square, Dublin 1. The reason I booked that hotel was it was beside the Mater Private Hospital on Eccles Street, the next day, ie, the 8th. I spoke to Luciane and what a wonderful person she was. When she heard my mission the next day she reduced the price of the Accommodation and not only that I requested to park my car in their car park. There is very limited space at that Hotel for parking car's and Luciane looked after me, in face ... Read more

Friendly staff. Very nice location with easy access to everything. Housekeeping did a really great job of cleaning our rooms. Frustrating beginning to our stay: when we checked in, they did not show one of our 2 rooms as being booked. I had email proof of booking. Staff took over 20min trying to find it, never did, but finally gave us the 2nd room. While taking a shower, the shower curtain blows up against you, literally attacks you! Had to stay close to airport because our luggage was lost, I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are there to help you in any way they can. We got a room with 2 single beds, I had just gotten off an overnight flight, and they let me check in early in the morning, the room is a little small, but was glad to have it. There is coffee and tea in the room. A very big bath. I would recommend this hotel, because of the staff alone.

My wife and I stayed here for a Bruce Springsteen concert in May 2016 and a special rate for the show in nearby Croke Park. The hotel is roughly 5mins walk from the top of O'Connell Street so has easy access to most things in the centre of town. This is not a fancy hotel but is very comfortable and clean. They do have AC (for the Americans!) but it doesn't work very well. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. The food was good in the restaurant and the bar was small but adequate. The best part is its location to the city center, it is close and easy to find, overall I would give it a solid 7.

We only chose this hotel in Dublin City Centre because it was near the hotel that our daughter's traveling choir is staying. Overall this is an average hotel with good service but expensive and had missing items. It was very strange that the hotel would ask you to pay for the full stay when you check-in (a unique practice that I am not sure if this is common in Dublin). This is a very nicely located hotel, only about 10 min or 15 min walk from Temple Bar, very near O Connell Street. It is a very nice hotel too and the breakfast is great! But the people are really great! They knocked themselves out to have our 16 rooms ready so we could check in early when we arrived in Dublin to check in as early as 9:30 A.M.! This hotel had pretty run-down rooms with terribly uncomfortable and old beds. Also, there was no air-conditioning, which normally isn't a problem in Ireland, but we stayed on a very hot night and with the windows open, it was so loud. The front desk was helpful in allowing us to store luggage prior to check-in and after check-out, so we could go about sightseeing. The best thing to say for the hotel is its convenient location to access many of the sightseeing tours of the Dublin area.

Came to this hotel with a few of my friends. This hotel was pristine at least from the initial appearance. However when I got to my room I was utterly disappointed. Dont get me wrong, the room was very clean and extremely well maintained, however it was so small, im used the big hotel rooms in US where i do most of my travels and this was so freakin small. so i came back to the front to inquire abt a bigger room and this is when i was pleasantly surprised by this fellow who came out from the... Stayed at this hotel with my friend Monday-Thursday. We arrived at the hotel around 9am after our flight, we were aware that check in was 2pm but we asked if any chance we could pay to check in early. This wasn't a problem and the man on reception charged us ‚?¨20 euros for early check in - well worth the money. Bedroom was lovely, clean and very modern. We hadn't originally booked breakfast with our room but if you pay for breakfast the day before you get it for ‚?¨10 instead of ‚?¨12 If you bu... Read more

Came to stay on a whistle stop tour for just one night. Staff were so helpful throughout, well deserved praise for them. Room was immaculate, quite small but perfectly adequate. Comfortable bed and nice shower gel. Lovely fluffy towels, plenty of them too. The location is central for shopping centres, few minutes walk away. You might need a bus ride if going further afield, e.g. over to Temple Bar or out to Phoenix Park, although it depends on how far you're willing to walk. We had breakfas... Read more

My friend and I spent 6 nights at this hotel, and I was very impressed with how well the room was cleaned on a daily basis. The beds were comfortable, and I found the room to be very quiet, despite being on the front side of the building. The staff, including Sibi Chloe, and other nice members, was very nice, helpful, and accommodating. They were most kind in arranging taxi pickup for a return trip to the airport, posting postcards, and giving many directions to a tourist not familiar with the... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights recently in a double room during our trip to Ireland. We found the hotel to be well located for exploring Dublin, and we were able to walk to all the attractions on our must see list. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to O'Connell Street , so that nearby there is a Tesco, multiple fast food choices and of course shops. Staff we encountered at this hotel were its outstanding feature - friendly and helpful, including at reception, in the restaurant and in housekeeping. Our ... Read more

Stayed here from 24-27th October. Was a bit apprehensive after reading early reviews but the hotel was fine. City site tour bus just around the corner and main attractions within walking distant. We change our room from a twin to double with ease. Housekeeping excellent and staff friendly. We had a late flight and we're allowed to leave our bags at the hotel. Cant fault the hotel at all. Stayed in the Maldron hotel from 27/10 to 30/10! It's a lovely clean hotel with nice rooms! Nothing too much trouble when the maids were asked for anything! My only suggestion would be that the staff on reception were a bit more welcoming as per the video on your website and that you keep your breakfast lists up to date as was rather embarrassing when a waitress challenged us quite aggressively that we didn't have it included and it was our third morning! Other than that lovely celebrations in D... Read more

Good Hotel, very nice staff, a great breakfast with lots of variety. Small room but grand if you only intended on sleeping & showering. There were 3 adults staying here so maybe why the room felt tiny. Only one shower cap provided which wasn't good enough considering the price, little extras are a nice touch. I would stay here for a shopping trip but if it's a socialing trip and you fancy drinks closer to Camden st then this is a taxi ride away. I would stay here again.

I stayed for a week in October when I visited Dublin for a conference. The check-in was the fastest I have ever experienced anywhere! My room was on the 5th floor, clean and decent-sized for a solo traveller. I had one of the rooms overlooking the street and there was sometimes traffic noise at night. I slept well on most days though. The staff members, both at the reception and in the restaurant, were friendly and ready to help. I had forgotten to carry a Europe to UK power adapter with me. T... This is a very pleasant hotel with lovely staff who do their best to make your stay enjoyable. However if you have driven here this is not a place I would recommend to stay. For starters there is nowhere to stop and unload your bags and check in. Then there are limited car parks available on site and if you miss out on those the nearest car park is quite a while away. It takes 15 minutes to walk from the car park to the hotel. We arrived on a Saturday and the next day we went to retrieve our ... Read more

The Maldron is quite a pleasant, well located hotel. We decided to have their breakfasts and were very impressed with the quality. Best ever introduction to Guinness Bread that couldn't be matched anywhere else in Ireland! The Maldron hotel chain in Ireland has been expanding in recent years but the Maldron in Parnell Square (in reality, just off the Square) is one of the older members of the group. While it is by no means one of the top hotels in Dublin, it has a lot to recommend it: good central city location, neat and comfortable rooms and at a reasonable cost.
