Very small room. Not even a chair. Small bed. When you turned around in the bed your partner moved with you. Almost seemed a waterbed. Poorly equipped bathroom which was not very clean. To make sure the toilet would fit, they simply cut away some tiles! Peculiar thing: we had to pull the light rope 3 times before the light turned on...very strange ;-). Windows could not stay open and it was hot in the room. The only positive thing is the location.

Where can I start the first thing is I don't think the picture of the front door on website is the front door that greets you. We went to Dublin a few weeks ago for long weekend and booked the Lesson. When stepping through the door there was a funny smell. The paint work is all chipped and the carpet has pulled away from the grips which could be dangerous and must breech some Health and Safety rules Our room was on the third floor... No lift. The bedroom was so small you couldn't walk round ... Read more

Stayed here despite some mixed reviews. The hotel is in a really good location, and our room was fine. Nothing really beyond that. If you're looking for an inexpensive place in the heart of Dublin this fits the bill.

Although the hotel is old , but it is allocated in the centre. Every day you get new sheets, new towels. There is an electric tea pot which is very convenient for low budget tourists. Please take shampoo with u??? A room was dusty but a cleaning lady has been sent immediately to clean . There is a hair dryer which is convenient.

Nice budget hotel to stay. Near the St. Stephen's Green and the city center. The bed was not very comfortable and the sink was very noise. The employees were very nice and available. I'd recommend this hotel! :)

Unfortunately I can't say anything good about this hotel!!!! We where only there a few hours before an early flight the next morning Did email the hotel to tell them this but they still put us on the 3 floor 65 steps (no lift !!) Felt bad for the other guests as we came clunking down the steps at 4:00 in the morning The hotel is very dated dirty and room was extremely small . Tiles broken no shampoo or soap. Not that handy for travellers . Quite a noisy area with night club next door It cou... Read more

I am just back from this dirty B&B today and thought I would write a review on it .....yuck Leeson should come with a health warning ??.The bath room was so so smelly of urine so dirty I couldn't even have a shower. The reception staff are so rude and they took payment from my bank card without my permission on the morning I arrived and I'm still waiting on my refund on bank card.My room was 404 and one dirty dirty smelly room.Leeson B&B staff are so unhelpful and I got told nothing about brea... Good location close to city centre but room accommodation leaves a lot to be desired. We had room for 3 people and thankfully we were only there on a 1 night stopover as there was nowhere to put luggage, no drawers and minimal hanging space for clothes. The picture rail was thick with dust and although there was an excellent power shower, there was no ventilation in the bathroom, so it got very wet with condensation. This made the floor very slippy. The toilet seat was hanging off. There was a ... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The room was large, spacious and clean and the toilet had an amazingly powerful shower. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, and the wifi was very fast. The hotel is conveniently located near St Stephen's Green. Highly recommended for anyone staying for a few nights in Dublin.

Me and my friend visited here for a 3 night stay, we was very looked after, the staff was very helpful including one lady that printed off some attraction tickets for us without no problem. The room was always tidied everyday including fresh bedding and towels, the location was brilliant everything was a walk away. The was only one downfall which wasn't such a bad thing but is the only think I would change about the room and it's as though the bath room was a bit dated and everytime we had a sho... Read more

I usually never write reviews in here but I had to because of the bad experience I had with this B&B. We stayed at the Leeson Inn for 3 nights. It was HORRIBLE. When you walk in there you can find a very weird smell which goes through the whole hotel. There is no elevator and there is carpet on the floors everywhere, so you can imagine the smell. The rooms are very small and there is no air con in there so it's gets EXTREMELY hot in there, especially after someone takes a shower! It's very noi... Read more

Me and my friend were in Dublin for the night to go to Rihanna concert on the 22nd of June and we booked the hotel for the night. Took us a while to find it as we're not from around the place. When we got there we were giving our bedroom key, the room was beautiful and fully equipped, we had tele with active channels, heater, wifi and a lovely bathroom, and also a comfy bed. The hotel receptionist were very helpful and the price we paid was well worth it, we will defo be back ??

We stayed here for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and since we booked last minute the price was a bit higher. However the location was worth it and the staff was fantastic. They put complimentary chocolates in our room for our anniversary and gave us free breakfast the whole time we were there. I would recommend NOT paying for the breakfast here however because it is quite scarce (a piece of toast and some not good coffee). Other than that the room was nice and quiet and comfortable. Definitely the... Read more

This budget hotel was basic yet sufficient for our needs, to shower and rest our heads for a few hours. We would only recommend for these needs. A fine distance for a walk into town through Stephens green and in the centre of all amenities within 10-20 minutes

When looking at a hotel near the City Centre this came up as the cheapest. I was a bit unsure after reading previous reviews but decided to book and I am glad we did. Cons - It needed a lick of paint and a some of the furnishings had seen better days but the room was clean. Some of the rooms in our party were really small and there is a lot of noise from outside (there is a bar/club two doors down). There was no lift. Pros - The location was excellent. You could walk to the City Centre but we... Read more

It's such a shame I didn't love this place, on paper it's good value and looks lovely. Pros: Reception staff and cleaners were really friendly and helpful. Had the room ready early for us :) Rooms tidied daily. Great location Bus stop nearby that takes you straight to O'Connell street only ?0.75. Cons: Noisy! On our first day we had arrived into Dublin quite early and understandably the room wasn't ready (but they did get it ready 2 hours earlier than check in) we went out for food then de... Read more

Would definitely stay again" My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. It is a very reasonably priced inn and very central for walking around Dublin and excellent eateries and even a grocery store were easily reachable. The room was spotless and sufficiently large for our needs, which was basically for sleeping after exploring the city. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There's a nice cafe next door, which was great for morning coffee and freshly baked good. We didnt try the inn bre... Read more

We booked through booking.com as it looked like a really nice place to stay very close to the centre and a good price. We booked for a stay Saturday-Monday and paid ?264 for myself and a friend in a twin room. The bus dropped us off just around the corner from the Leeson inn. This took around half an hour maybe less by bus from the airport. I would advise buying the leapcard, fantastic value. We wernt sure we could use the leapcard for the airlink bus which stops on leeson street, which actual... Read more

The location is great for walking to most attractions downtown. From the outside, the place looks quaint, but the stairway smells of mold, the rooms are tiny, the bathroom floor was uneven with broken tile and mold in many spots. Mattress was horrible, probably purchased on the day the place was built. If you just need a place to crash for less than $150 in the center of Dublin and are ok with carrying disinfectant to clean the bathroom before using it, enjoy loud music and the screaming of peop... The most uncomfortable mattresses ever !!! We were two people in the room but we had only 1 big towel each and we had to share the only one small for face and hands ! No soaps for bath ... Smelly carpets at the hallways. The windows were so thin , we could hear everything!!!

Stayed at the Leeson Inn and was a bit concerned by reading quite a few negative reviews. Was pleasantly surprised, we had a room facing the back, so no noise problems. The room was a bit aged but it was clean, comfortable and functioning. For the location the price was great, had a really nice time and would recommend the Leeson Inn for weekend visitors.
